Um, It's Summer

... and the media is all a twitter. Check out these headlines at Channel 2, Channel 5 and Channel 7. You'd think it never got hot in Chicago. And of course they all mention the heat wave of 11 years ago that led to almost 700 deaths.

Stay cool boys and girls. It's going to be a long weekend with not much of a let up in sight.

Can you imagine how long those 700
bodies would be waiting, if Gssp
was contracted back then?

Be prepared for the 19th of July more marches planned and I think in August their going for a 3 dayer, like were not busy enough. Whose stamping these permits and don't these Latino's of sorts have jobs they should be at? Add this to the fire. Chicago and IL. still playin pie in the sky haven for illegal's, other states taking action. It is indeed going to be a heat wave of B.S. demands.

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 called for at least 2,000 more Border Patrol agents per year along our border with Mexico to stop the unrelenting flow of people and illegal drugs into this country. But the Bush administration provided funding for only around 200 additional agents. President Bush then promised to deploy by August 6,000 National Guard troops to support the U.S. Border Patrol on the border with Mexico. Now, in mid-July, having already missed a June deadline, fewer than 900 have moved into place along the border.

While our federal government fails, state and local governments are being forced to fill the national leadership void. Twenty-seven state governments have passed some sort of legislation cracking down on illegal immigration. Many of these efforts are focused on employers and landlords who are hiring and housing illegal aliens and demanding proof of citizenship before granting unfettered access to social and health services.

Love how the U S Senate vote to build a fence along the Mexican border, then later voted against the funding for this fence...way to go GOP.!!!!!!!!

Too bad the govenors aren't sending the National Guard dickhead. In case you missed the news (it's on everyday) Gov. Arnorld from the REpublic of Kalifornia refused to activate the troops and send them to the border. Remember, he snuck over the broder too before he made all his movies and millions....

Something tells me it won't be as bad as 1974 when there were 970 murders or as bad as those years when we had eight or nine police killed. You've got a long way to go before it gets bad.

Thanks to the draft there were more gangbangers in service during the Viet Nam War than today and we survived. For pure domestic violence and mayhem nothing has beaten the late 60's and the 70's so far. Don't be radicalized by the myopic view of things presented in the Bizarro world of a crime ridden district. The big picture looks rosier than it did thirty years ago.

Wondering why the below post was deleted.
No need to call names, is it assumed that the posting makes me across the threshold anti Bush, after all I'm no supporter of the Arnold/loyal to Kennedy connection via marriage. Below is from the LA Times. Or SCC, was the delete an error, there was a glitch on posting via delay and double lgth. blank space, weird. What gives?

California is due to deploy some 1,000 Guard troops to points along the border by July 31, and has dispatched 250 troops in the past week.

The LA Times said the White House was now requesting that California deploy up to 1,500 troops.

Schwarzenegger's office declined to comment to AFP on the report.
(Arnold's excuse claims are due to size of the State population and psbl. brk out of fires and earthquakes he refused.) Myself I'm in support of secure borders.

Under the White House-backed program, US border security is due to be boosted by some 6,000 additional Guard troops by August 1.

In the 2006 election, the Likud vote collapsed in the face of the split with Kadima and Netanyahu's highly unpopular neoliberal policies, resulting in stronger challenges from other right-wing nationalist parties. Likud shared with the religious Shas the third and fourth places in the popular vote, behind Kadima and Labour; it lost 28 seats and was able to secure only 12 seats, its lowest point since Gahal was created 41 years ago. Netanyahu called the result "a heavy blow", but expressed his desire to continue to lead the Likud until "better days" would come.
