- A Web site that compares Democratic Ald. Todd Stroger to the nerdy TV character "Urkel" and calls him "Toddler," among other insults, is drawing fire from black leaders who say it's racist and secretly being run by Republican operatives.

There are a bunch of funny graphics and a bunch of links to articles regarding Cook County nepotism and the machine. The fact that Stroger's machine is lashing out like this speaks volumes about how weak they percieve this candidate to be.

Ald. Todd Stroger, the Democratic nominee for Cook County Board president, and the 8th Ward organization he represents have given almost $8,000 to a group that believes blacks should not be taxed and should not be involved in interracial relationships, and which supports the creation of a separate state for blacks.

Jest all you want. Barring some unpercieved scandal,Stroger Jr.will become your next board president. He's been anointed. Just like Madigan,Lipinski,the Daleys,and President Bush. Happens all the time,and it'll happen again.
It's a family affair....Ald. Beavers is giving up his seat in the city counsel to take one in the County Board to mentor Todd Stroger. He says he is giving his city counsel seat to his daughter.Jesse Jackson Jr's wife thinks she might like that seat and she will probably run for it. Pretty soon all things in Government will be relative. We won't have parties we will have clans!!!

Heres a tidbit of gossip, any truth that LT M.R. from court section is being sent to 022nd district because of SOS non-court appearances. Seems no one ever got deviated hhmmmmm !! Todd Stroger has cancelled quite a few appearances. According to Peraica's website, two debates had been cancelled without any explanation. On a conservative radio station 2 weeks ago, he was scheduled to speak but, without word, never appeared. Sounds fishy

Has anyone seen or heard from the FOP lately? There has been bad press about us in the paper on a daily basis...and our union representation has been silent again. How come when there is an accusation against an on duty fireman the first person you see is their union president expaining that there is due process and there is an on going investigation and please don't rush to judgement. Yet our "Union" has said nothing in regards to any of the recent scandals...can anyone explain this. I remember before Nolan FOP would do the exact same thing and stick up for the officer and expain through the media that these are mere allegaions and that the officers have rights just like everyone else. Why has this changed?
I am not an FOP hater I just want to know why our union is not speaking on behalf of our officers. Take a lead from San Francisco and start sticking up for our own!
The public reads the papers and watches the news...we need someone to start feeding them the truth and to explain to them that allegations are not the same as fact.
