We noticed a major overhaul at SecondCityDick.
Since we went to moderated comments, we've been filtering out maybe 5% of the BS that regularly passes through our site. Some of our veteran readers recall the insanity that went on before. For the most part, the tiny brains have given up the nonsense, but we still have a few who seem to be learning disabled. One of our more mentally challenged commentators constantly posted how SCD had unmoderated real time posting of comments. Good for SCD. Hopefully, they don't have to go through the process we did cleaning out the trash.
But does anyone know if something bad happened over at SCD? Literally dozens of posts have disappeared, every single one of them involving pictures of exempts and open comments. We have a feeling either a chill wind blew their way or they are experiencing the same thing we did when we had to filter our 60-70% of the comments. It just became tedious - a job instead of a hobby. Anyone have info?

Maybe they realized it was turning into a shithouse wall full of rumors, lies and bs instead of being the blog they meant to have when they created it, so they cleaned it up after receiving alot of complaints....

SCC- I just recently pulled the open comments from ISPEEVED due to the non-stop nonsense that seemed to run the more responsible posters off. You can only read so much garbage before you dont come back. They have plenty of chat rooms on the blog-sphere for that. I will run with this program and see how it turns out, the alternative to shutting it down. It became too much work, like sitting in the copper bars and rehashing the same old trash. I'll let you know how it goes.
You would think that whoever launched the investigation would have thicker skin. For Godsake a little blog and you're offended?? How is this person going to relate to John Q Public when they really dish a litany of words at he/she?

He/she wanted to be on the city's dole, they wanted rank as a public official, deal with it. The same constitution you swore to uphold and protect you just stepped on. Freedom of the speech and press.
Det. Frank Laverty seemed like a real nice guy to me, he did my background investigation/interview to come on this job about 12 years ago. Couldn't have been nicer.
I didn't know he passed away. That's too bad. When? And of what?
Hopefully he got to enjoy some of his pension dollars!
Or just maybe the bosses, in particular the fat rat, couldn't handle the truth. And the last thing that he wants is to be outed, so he sits and waits for the inevitable.
Det. Frank Laverty was the thick headed fool who sided with the Peoples Law Office against his brother Dets. in Area #2. Good riddance to that low life a-hole.
Conroy in the "Reader" was singing the praises of his fellow rat, Frank Laverty. What more needs to be said than that commie newspaper thought so highly of that uselass Det. They had to put his dumb do nothing ass in Recruit Processing because the couldn't find a SINGLE Det. who would work with his back stabbing ass..
