Bloody Monday

A return to the "If it bleeds, it leads" news reporting - at least according to the Channel 2 News:
  • Seven people were shot Monday on the West and South Sides in three separate shootings, police said. Two of those shootings occurred on the West Side, while one occurred in the Beverly neighborhood on the South Side
One might begin (or continue) to ask questions in regard to manpower numbers and deployment tactics. Anyone know how many of these shootings took place in actual "DOC" areas?

Don't worry though - the last line of the article says it all:
  • Police officials said they were increasing their patrols in the areas

Where is sos and the true units when you need them in the westside, o let me guess, somewhere where they are least effective. The animals where in full force on the westside today. I hope the punk ass CW wasnt too upset that beat cars could get event numbers for "special attention" missions in the DOC. Beat cars were too busy trying to control the wilderbeasts on chicago and homan. I'm sure that other districts had time to get all their events before check off, they must some proud districts at their DOC meetings. Don't get me wrong I'm refering to the managment involved and not the officers, we all must follow orders.

Increasing Patrols in that area is that the same as a special attention?

not to worry...35th street will ensure that more seatbelt missions, outdoor roll calls, wolfpack missions, POD missions (all of which generate "event numbers", which are counted by the beancounters at 35th street), will satisfy the Bureau of Micromanagement (forget for the moment that districts (mainly south and west side) are choked by a shortage of personnel (while small units (love those small units, lots of small units, the more the better) are full up with people), some districts are backlogged with calls for service (sometimes for hours, and the citizens wait, and wait, for service....); the bureaucrats study the homicide and shooting numbers....."how did we do today?, how are we doing compared to NY, LA, Omaha, Longrass TX?"....did the mayor call today?....what deputy supt. is talking to who?...."boy, the tru is great, look at their arrests...anybody ask what the arrests were for, I mean, ~300 arrests, 200 for drinking in public, 30 for no drivers' license, 20 for warrants, 10 for guns, 20 for being close to a doc?...." (oh, boy, let's put more people in tru...so what if citizens in some areas of the city have to wait hours for police service if and when they call....by the way, how's Longrass TX doing with their numbers?...did any churches call complaining about traffic or parking?....)

the people get the police they want. traffic stop survey, no chase policy, c.r.# tracking, GPS, filmed interrogation, hostle witness policy, IAD, OPS, inspectors, CAPS, seat belt missions, pod missions, outdoor roll call, merit detectives, merit bosses, short/missdirected manpower and political intervention.
i'm sure i forgot some things but you get the idea. high speed low drag does NOT describe the chicago police department !

Why are the police not patrolling the DOC? All this violence is the police's fault. Study shows the 30% of the guns on the street were once cops guns. They should have a new general order which forces cops to register every weapon they own. Have mandatory home weapon inspections.

You know not that many years ago the police bosses gave diffrent orders at roll call and "On the side". Go out have fun come home safe! If you get a gun pinch you can go home early! When watches rotated there was a sense of comaraderie now is that still present? You had a regular partner with the same day off group as you worked well together! You did not have the bull shit listening devices in the cars nor gps shit! the supervisors were not micro-managers we were respected as adults and the mantra from them was "Call me if you need me". Now it is I am everywhere spying on you! Whatever happened to the POLICE BEING THE POLICE? Liberalism again and again the daley types appeasing the reverends the westside drug dealers. the best is now when the news talks about a crime happening they never say the race of the criminal. lastly they are no longer suspects no they are persons of interest! they are not illegal aliens they are just poor people who need a hand and are given link cards, free medical, free educations, free housing THAT WE ARE FORCED TO PAY FOR!

TRU and SOS have been in Area 2 districts since the beginning of the year. On triple company day, (once a week) we have a company west. believe me we would love to get back west, it's getting old out south.

Quote this study you dumbass piece of shit. You're making up bullshit and expecting this blog to swallow it. And I can hardly wait for a mandatory home weapon inspection - they'll be coming in over a pile of bodies so thick that they'll have to have fucking funerals for a month straight. Go crawl back into your fucking hole asswipe.

SCC, can one of your readers explain the wolfpack thing.

wolfpack - an entire tactical or gang team is put into the DOC area for their district for four straight hours directly supervised by their sergeant and they write or arrest anything that moves.

in certain districts, the teams split the 4 hours so each team only has to cover 2 hours and the other can duck and go home.

in other places its an effort to have the sgts actually keep an eye on their guys for 4 hours so they don't do dope arrests or long term investigations that aren't in the DOC area or really have the potential for overtime.

All these shootings? I guess no one remembered to dust off the crystal ball before the DOC's were chosen.

Remember, if the dept. brass WANTED to change things, they could do so with a teletype message; obviously they want it this way and it must work! Event numbers prove everything is working as planned. Excuse, me I have to go get mine for taking a s*%t

God I hope that that was sarcasm, because if it isn't, GO HOME, PARK IN YOUR GARAGE, CLOSE THE DOOR, LEAVE THE CAR RUNNING AND SUFFOCATE YOURSELF! As to wolf pack guy, I hope that you're a civilian, if not, go back to the cube farm in the puzzle palace.
