Where's That Damn Helmet?
Everyone got their riot helmets somewhere? We might need them again:
- The Chicago Bulls swept the defending NBA champion Miami Heat out of the playoffs, winning a postseason series for the first time since the Michael Jordan era.
Ben Gordon scored 24 points, Luol Deng had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Chicago beat Miami 92-79 Sunday in Game 4 to finish off their first-round Eastern Conference series. The Bulls, who will face Detroit in the second round, became the first team to oust a defending champion in the opening playoff series since Phoenix did it to San Antonio in 2000.
The Bulls played a pretty decent season this past year, mostly under the national radar. National stories concentrated on their last 3 or 4 games where they fell from the #2 seed to the #5. But their dismantling of the Heat hints at a deep run in the playoffs.
Someone better make sure the Gas Teams are prepped.

Nothing shows appreciation for your favorite team like burning down the nearest convenience store and shooting your neighbors. I remember when the Sox won and Bridgeport went up for grabs... I partied for days! That's what separates us from the shitheads. Let the Bulls win and let the 'wesside' burn, once again proving there is no conspiracy... it's all them.

Off topic. But found this kind of funny. The 3rd watch Capt in 016 thinks his officers aren't productive enough so how does he handle it? He changes everyones start time. If you were late, you are early, if you were early you are late. If you prefer a rapid, he switched you to something else. Nevermind that people have second JOBS, KIDS, ETC. Fuck all that I guess. Now I am not on his watch but I have a question. Would you become more productive for this guy? I know I wouldn't do a fucking thing for him. No one got talked to, counseled, addressed at roll call. He just decided to fuck it all up without warning.
Mind you, almost every car in 016 on afternoons and most on midnights work 99 which is a violation of the contract. Maybe someone in FOP should do something about that? 016 is so big and there are so many calls for service, you don't have time to look for anything else except going from one job to the next. I've caught many robbery offenders in my career and have never been on t.v. once for it, funny thing is, neither have any of the victims. Would have been pretty funny if the guy stabbed him though, instant Republican.

Catching robbery offenders is our job. We get recognized on the 1st and the 16th. What these kids did was pretty brave. They had no weapons and this guy could have had a gun. Most people would have walked the other way. I say good for them.

See the following link for the U S Supreme Court. They ruled in our favor for a change, where Police Pursuits are concerned.
This ruling was rendered today. It has the brief and also a 15 minute Videotape from two police dashcams. It's good viewing. Get some popcorn and a few cool drinks and watch the whole thing. You need Realplayer to view it though. I downloaded the basic version for free.
The case is Scott V. Harris
Scott is the Deputy that did the PIT manuever. Harris was the goof who was driving the offending vehicle and was left a Quad-palegic.
