Poor Lizards
Why didn't she just kill her abuser? It would have save her some jail time:
- A northwest suburban woman faces felony charges in Kane County after attacking her husband's pet lizards, killing one and severely injuring the other, authorities said Friday.
A grand jury this week indicted Sara Tinsley, 37, of West Dundee, on one count each of cruelty to animals and aggravated cruelty to animals for allegedly throwing one of the reptiles against the wall and stabbing the other with a butcher knife. Authorities said it was an act of vengeance against her husband, who is accused of battering her.
A jury would be much more sympathetic to a battered wife than an animal abuser.

I love animals but some of this animal abuse is fricking ridiculous.

Felony charges for hitting a lizard in Kane County: APPROVED, charges for beating somebody badly enough to send them to the hospital for stitches and broken bones in crook county: DENIED (unless of course you're a cop). Glad to see atleast some counties still enforce the law.

Again, good prosecutions only happen in other counties BUT COOK COUNTY. Too soft here. Juvies get a slap on the wrist, and adults get light sentencing. Maybe that's why this county is nothing but CROOK COUNTY all the way around.
Good, I like lizards better than most people we deal with.

RECIPE OF FRIED LIZARD
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse pepper
1 pound lizard meat
Vegetable oil, for frying
Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a large bowl with hands. Cut the lizard into 1 inch chunks, rinse and pat dry. Dip in flour mixture. Shake off excess flour. Heat 1/2-inch vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350 degrees F. Drop the floured lizard chunks in pan and fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately with dipping condiment such as honey mustard or Mambo Sauce.
