How Considerate
The Cubs knew that if they had to play Sunday afternoon, it'd conflict with the Chicago Marathon. So they obligingly lost to save the people of Wrigleyville heartache, traffic and Monday morning hangovers from a Sunday game.
That and they completely sucked.

No Northside team has ever won the World Series. The last time the Cubs won it 1907/08, they played on the South side, at Polk and Wood St's.

Being an fan of Baseball in general, The fact that the Cubs went from Last to a playoff spot is an accomplishment. The Sox's inability to be a contender after winning the world series was strictly due to their front offices unwillingness to pay people what they wanted. ALA NY Yankees love'em or hate'em they are still one of the best teams money can buy!
If Bridgeport can ever develop like Wrigleyville a reason may exist for people to come to the south side. Butts in the seats is what is helps pay the bills.
So- Maybe next year the Sox will have a winning season, and hopefully the Cubs will also!
If you want to see good looking women at a ball game wrigley is the place to go in chicago, but for my money the hottest women were at Dodgers Stadium

True that the bills need to be paid and the Sox have not drawn the crowds since 05. However, coming from Bridgeport, it will never be like Wrigleyville, and should never be. The thought just makes me shudder. Both parks draw very different types of fans. Cubs fans care for nothing more then talking and sipping on their flappin-flippin-triple-latte-frappacino-with skim milk. When I go to a game it would be nice to not have some drunk 18 year old scream in my ear.
Bridgeport is a tight-nit community and could not stand for what goes on up north. The first drunk yuppie from Hoffman Estates or Elk Grove Village who pisses on some one's front lawn will be getting a severe beating with a baseball bat.
Then there are the problems with the bars. I don't even know why people go to CubbyBear. It's full of the same drunk idiots.
