Are These People Stupid?
- A group of Chicago ministers aired their concerns about allegations of excessive force by Chicago police officers and other police-related complaints Tuesday.
- Just over two weeks after Rosensweig's appointment, 18-year-old Aaron Harrison was shot and killed by a Special Operations Section officer who had pursued the teenager from a street stop. Witnesses said the young man was unarmed, but police say they found a handgun near his body. Three and a half months later, the revamped OPS still has not issued a report.
- And the ministers told Rosensweig to not only obey but to publicize the city ordinance that puts a six-month limit on OPS Investigations.
So what are these morons complaining about? According to our calculator, she still has two-and-a-half months left to conduct her investigation. Oh, that's right. They're "reverends." They're important. The rules apply to everyone except if the "reverends" get on your case. Then you better have answers and you better have them yesterday.

Wow. $6M for not paying my bills and providing basic living conditions for my children!?!?!? I'm thinking the wrong way!! Why take on responsibility when I can get rich by suing someone else for my inability to provide a safe environment for kids I chose to bring in to the world!
What ever happened to the separation of church and state? Does that only apply to school prayer and Merry Christmas?
If these "reverands" put in HALF as much enery into raising young black males properly, instead of fighting police, the community would be a better place for it.

The six month limit is in all officer's benefit. never before has OPS ever been able to do a thorough investigation and report in six months. Two years has been the norm. When they all go over six months the officer then has basis for his or her grievance and should immediately get a CR number on the OPS Administrator for violating City Ordinance.
In fact, officers should become well versed in how to obtain a CR number and they should start getting them in wholesale numbers.
Daley has not provided funding for OPS to have a proper staff of competent investigators so overload the SOB's with a boatload of CR numbers. And if supervisors stop taking them, maybe some willing civilians will be kind enough to get some directly from OPS or whatever the hell it is now called.
It's too bad you can't get a CR over the internet; the investigative body formerly known as OPS could be paralyzed investigating thousands of pointless complaints. Like now only more so.
How about shooting the Letter Carrier when he's running late with the mail? There is a story here I'm sure. These are the same people who say the cops have anger issues.
How about we all wear tin-foil hats! That way, after when the IPRA investigator comes to investigate our shootings, we just take off the tin-foil, scratch our heads, and go, "hmmmmm, shooting...oh, yeah! THAT shooting...well, let me tell you..." Well, I think it's a good idea and I don't care what YOU think!

(OT) On the cover of todays Tribune there is a picture of alderclown burnett who says he voted to increase taxes! The same WALTER BURNETT who was convicted as a stick up man years ago but blago pardoned him! Guess he still is a stick-up man sticking all of us up! Semms blago could at least call the govenor in iowa and try to get innocent MIKE METTE free! But then again only a stick up with a gun gets away scott free like the asshole BURNETT!

I have a CR "brutality beef" that is now in it's eleventh month and still no conclusion from the OPS investigator. What are my options. A officer who admits he did not know of the six month rule

Are you the same ten minute wonder who comes on here and says sue for everything? Maybe you should come out of your mother's attic and learn a few things.
You cannot just get a CR#. If you are a member of the Department and are complaining, you must go through a Supervisor. It is the Supervisor who gets the CR# if, and only if, it is warranted.
