Two More Shot in Philly

  • A suspect is in police custody in connection to the shooting of two Philadelphia undercover narcotic officers in Frankford Tuesday evening.

According to police, the officers, along with uniformed officers, were serving a warrant at about 6:30 p.m. EDT.

Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson said police knocked and rang the door bell several times before several gunshots were fired from a window inside the home, striking the two plainclothes officers.
Philadelphia has been having a very rough fall with numerous officers shot and one killed. Keep them in your prayers.

SCC,

Our gov, Ed "Fast Eddie" Rendell is trying to push for proposed laws that have been stalled:

*Require gun owners to report lost or stolen weapons

*Limit handgun sales to one per person per month

*Enable municipalities to enact their own gun laws

A responsible LAW ABIDING gun owner should report if they have a firearm stolen, especially since the potential for that gun being used in a future crime increases.

The one handgun per month is to prevent straw purchases, but if a drug dealer with a record wants a gun, he'll have no problem finding one. It's been that way for years.

We have enough gun laws on the books and it does NOTHING to stop the violence, and until our judges keep these bastards behind bars, instead of being such liberal jackasses that they are, nothing will change.

The man who killed Officer Cassidy, John Lewis, was previously arrested and had a court date the day after Cassidy died. The brazen POS actually went to court (drugs) and was told to come back in January.

So while every officer in the city was searching for this POS and not knowing yet who he was, Lewis shows up at the CJC where there were police everywhere to attend his hearing.

And the judge let him go yet AGAIN.

Judges EVERYWHERE (not just Philly) need to be held responsible for the scum their letting go. We don't need another law on the books because the judges are throwing out case after case, so WTF good would another law do us?

I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you all to arrest someone only to see him out on the street a few hours later or a day later. It's like a slap in the face to those of you in blue, and it's a slap in the face to society as a whole for having this thugs among us.

Here in Philadelphia, it's become open season on police officers because there is NO respect for them at all, and the scum have no problem with that because they know they'll get off with a slap on the wrist.

Sorry for my rant. I'm just disgusted that it's happen yet again to two more officers, and I just thank God that they're ok.

Assaults against police officers and shootings of coppers are way up nation wide. The problem is not only here in Chicago. Almost every city has had an increase. We in Chicago have been very fortunate that our people have been going home after these shootings, and the bad guys have been either going to the hospital or the morgue. Pray that our luck continues.

God bless the police in philly and God bless CPD! It is only a matter of time that an officer second guesses our right to shoot and could be tragic for us! Be careful and remember the old adage judged by 12 is better than carried by 6!

What is going on there. That is beyond reason. Too many police in Philly getting fired on and I hope to hell that those guys are putting boots to heads there.

There was a time when we had control, but we are losing it fast.
The Rev's are paid politcal muscle for the dealers. More pressure on the police, less patrols.

God help those guys in Philly!!

As a CPD Officer, we are saddened by your loss. Please keep us posted if any help or support is needed.

We, as police officers better start connecting the dots real quick! Our Respect / Fear is quickly coming to an abrupt end! Assaults and Batteries against P/O’s are up (about 17%) from last year alone! And that’s nation wide. Bad-guys are growing worse, overcrowded prisons aren’t helping out. Not to mention the "excellent" moral system a whole cross section of society has. Throw in the good old “sto-fronts” preacher and a few liberals, the media, and bad shit (technical term) is going to start to happen!
When was the last time a Chicago Police Officer was shot and killed in the line of duty? I don’t wish it on any officer, not even some of the biggest, rotten, dog-ass, do-nothings we have, but it’s going to happen again, and more frequent than we would ever like! Don’t believe me?: Philly, L.A., Miami, all proof.
Who cares if some gang-banger/P.O.S./shithead catches a bullet? Too bad – Soo Sad, shulda raised Jr a little better momma! When we get hurt or killed, it’s a different story. Things better change, and change real quick! It is apparent that WE are all WE got! And WE better stick together, and as the Police and as a Department! Granted, we have our problems, and our problem children, I’d be lying if I said different, however, we need to look out for, and after each other! We have to come up with some VALID ideas, bitching, bellyaching, and whining will get us nowhere!
