Im sure the "stuttering prick" is demanding these for his bodyguard team!
Anybody else see his "we gotta save the children" press conference
yesterday? Just f*k'n sickening;no
guns for anyone, will cure all the problems.
How bout letting the Police loose in the violent hoods, instead of pandering to the ghetto warlords and their liberal handlers!

They got these things at Marshall, Orr and several other Westside schools already, no big deal. As long as they keep killing each other I don't have a problem with these weapons.

Supposedly this is a one-time prototype that MagPul made for the Shotshow - just to show how clever they are. From what I've heard, they have no intention of manufacturing that firearm. But, you never know.

To me it is a Dereliction of Duty by the Superintendent of Police to send CPD officers into harms way each tour without a patrol rifle.

The verdict is in: In tragic incidents throughout the US the needless deaths of good law enforcement officers may have been averted if the proper equipment was availiable.

Even the word “rifle” leads some to believe that such a weapon is suitable for military use only. Unfortunately, some ignorant people have voiced unqualified opinions against the police obtaining such equipment. F*** them

In recent years and in several devastating incidents the shotgun has proven itself to be an aging technology that can no longer be solely relied upon

Although the bullet resistant vest has been a great invention for the police, it has also become a weapon against police, as it is easy nowadays for the bad guy to obtain a vest that will defeat the 12-gauge projectile. The shotgun does has its place in police work and should not be entirely discounted. The pistol obviously does not have the ability to defeat an armed adversary using body armor or taking cover behind barriers

The patrol rifle should not be in the SWAT truck waiting for deployment. Nor should it be in just one specialized vehicle. The patrol rifle needs to be standard Academy curriculum and an AR/15 needs to be inside of every CPD patrol vehicle

Any legitimate Superintendent of a real Police Dept would not send officers into harms way armed with only a handgun

Handguns and these weapons of small size serve no sporting purpose. They should all be banned. These are not tools of the hunter, only the murderer.

And it should be available to everyone at any time without any delay and/or background checks... good thing it is being sold at a gun show that way any one can walk away with it at any time! And if you think that this gun should be banned then YOU ARE A GUN GRABBING DUMMY CRAT LIBERAL MUSH BRAINED PIECE OF SHIT!!! And I heard Daley is outraged about this new gun FUCK DALEY AND HIS CORRUPT MACHINE!!! SECOND AMENDMENT GUARANTEES MY RIGHT TO HAVE THIS GUN!!!

see how silly that argument sounds? look in the mirror gun freaks because the rights you are fighting so hard to keep also guarantee this clown the right to sell this gun to whomever, wherever he wants! You cannot pick and choose. Either you want them, or you dont!

ok, first of all that gun is allready banned by the federal gun control act 1934. a rifle w/ barrel less than 16".
second, in the urban environment of chicago a shotgun w/ rifle sights useing a slug (100 yrds) or sabot (150 yrds) would be very effective.
third, this country will not reduce violence untill it reduces the violent among us. that reqires harsh judgement of people and their actions for which this country has no stomach.

Give the police long guns? Hell no, most can't even shoot their duty weapons properly. Homes would be shot up by these trigger happy cops.

Really dipshit? And who the f*ck are you to make the claim that they serve "no sporting purpose"? The Olympics have a pistol event and Marksmanship is a popular and growing sport which can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Handgun shooting in the Olympics? Gee thats a real skilled event. I saw one of these so called pistol events on TV once, what a joke. They wear goofy little holsters that most weapons would fall out of if you jumped, they use tricked out guns that wouldn't work on the street. Also, they shoot low powered loads. These are not "REAL" guns.

Has not history taught us that no matter what type weaponry is out there no matter what you do, "bad guys" will continue to be "bad guys". Don't make guns legal idiots, make the illegal use of them (and every other crime) harbor stricter sentence.....but I have to be realistic, that's just not going to happen.

My point is that whether you make them illegal or not, we the copper, will still have to deal with wackos using them...

So for all of you anti-GUN morons, you can't "just ban GUNS"....really think about it for while...just by making something illegal doesn't make it go away (eh hem..there's a black market out there....)I'm a PO 24/7 but I'll be damned to let my family be unprotected (due to anti-GUN morons) when I'm not around or when they're out and about shopping (etc.), with these wack-jobs running the streets.

Therefore, we need to be trained better in our Academies. Class-room is fine and dandy but real learning comes from field training. But the idiots (in office) understand that real training requires a vast amount of coordination, effort, and money. Therefore the idiots rather go the cheaper route lecture, lecture, lecture..and what do we get in return.... the "COLLEGE PO". Don't take offense, ladies and gents... you can't learn how to fight a war and deal with terrorist by reading a book. You do by getting your D#&K dirty. This same principle (probably even more so) applies to the streets.

I know I'm getting long winded/side-tracked and I don't mean to bag on schooling (God only knows I can use more). The streets are hard and you need to be harder and trust me college can't get you hard enough.

It's not the guns ladies and gents, it how we (COURTS) let those who mis-use them skate.

So learn a lesson from the video...The Police Administration, banning guns, complaining, etc., will not save your ass on a call, in the event that you are faced with a "fancier-killing-device", that my friend is up to you.

We aren't Firefighters, therefore we don't fight fire with water, we fight fire with even greater fire.

No matter what you do technology for weaponry will continue to become more advanced and cute.

PS. if you don't like guns, go to the U.K. "MMM-Kay"

"Cop,Soldier,Citizen"(CSC).

1. I don't know of any Olympic event where a holster would be used.

2. The Magpul gun, as observed above, is covered by the National Firearms Act of 1934. For all intents and purposes, it IS banned, especially in Illinois.
It'll take a federal background check plus tax stamp transfer paperwork to get one even if they ever build it.

3. There are legal examples of CIA "briefcase guns" with MAC submachine guns concealed inside briefcases and fired by buttons in the case handles. They were manufactured before 1986 and they're still out there. Of course, they cost thousands of dollars and are kind of a gimmick, just like the Magpul gun.

4. The right to keep and bear arms has absolutely, positively NOTHING to do with hunting or "sporting purposes." Don't bother telling me I can't hunt with my guns. I don't care.
