Weekday Killings

According to the comments, there were four homicides on Tuesday:

• Two men were slain early Tuesday outside one of their homes during a shooting in the West Side’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. [...]
  

  Both men were dead on the scene after being shot while sitting in a vehicle about 12:11 a.m. in the 3300 block of West Potomac Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer John Henry.

And then a dead woman turns up on the west side:

• The woman, whose name is being withheld, was found in a vacant lot at 4219 W. Arthington St. and pronounced dead on the scene at 12:20 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

And we're assuming this is the fourth:

• A man was killed and his 4-year-old daughter critically injured Monday night when he shielded her from a car that had jumped a curb and pinned both of them against a wrought iron fence on the South Side.
  
  A Chicago man, 32-year-old Angelo Thomas, was charged with drunken driving Tuesday night in the crash.

But as the media only seems to care about the shootings, a strangulation and a vehicular homicide might not show up in some of the statistical releases. They won't be showing up on Channel 2's Google shooting map for one. As another person pointed out, wait until it warms up.
