Bears v Detroit

These are the "must win"games for the Bears to have any shot at the playoffs. Fatten up on mediocre division rivals - and Detroit is 0-3:
We have a good feeling about today.

Does anyone have info on the new SOS coming out called " Strike Force " supposedly Lt. has been picked already. Its gonna be a couple sgts. and a 100 pos in uniform and marked cars. Don't know how true it is but I heard that if they don't get enough people they will take 2 pos per tact team per district with lowest seniority. So much for no manpower in patrol.

Hey SCC,

Someone already brought it up, but there is going to be an application for the Mobile Strike Force Unit (MSFU) this week. It is going to be the new SOS, Unit 153.

WTF, no people in the districts to handle the RAP's, but they are going to draw some more out of them. TRU is staying too.

This place blows.

This department is a joke. Strike Force is the name of the CPD Bowling Team. Now they're using it for the new 'elite' unit. Get ready for Operation Gutterball!

According to the draft, the new MSF unit will have to take a 2 week refresher on topics such as use of force, first amendment, ethics, control tactics, baton use, etc. There will be a "ceremony" on 31Oct08 in front of Homan Sq. to commemorate the launching of the unit. The unit will also be working closely with the Gang Investigation Section. Former 153 and current 141 members who are not under investigation will get first consideration. Welcome to the horse and pony show.

I call BULLSHIT on the backfill story. They may be able to pull from districts based on seniority, but they can't pick solely from tact. If the least senior tact Officer has 5 more years on the job than a 1st watch 2yr P.O., they CANNOT pick & choose.
BE SAFE!!!

Strike Force? Fantastic. Reverse seniority? Wonderful.

Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!"

Rocky: "Again?"

Bullwinkle: " Nothing up my sleeve."

Lion: "ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAR!

Bullwinkle: "Must have the wrong hat."

Rocky: "And now..."

Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!"

Rocky: "But that trick never works."

Bullwinkle: "But this time for sure. Presto! [pause] Well, I'm getting close!"

Rocky: "And now it's time for another special feature."

Bullwinkle: What is it? Fan mail from some flounder?

Rocky: "Hokey smoke, Bullwinkle! Look!"

Rocky: "And here he is, that master of misinformation, Mr. Know-It-All."

Beginning to sound familiar?

Just read problem #7 I have 10 years on and can say...in this day in age THANK GOD the old timers are bowing out! Can you imagine if 9 years ago I was schooled that if the FTO shows up loaded...look the other way and then I lose my job! Or 10 years ago I was taught it is OK to take a C note here and there as the old stiffs believe? Id lost my job! Or if 10 years ago I woulda been taught it is OK to crack a guy for runnin (Hey kid, they use their feet get beat!) Id lost my job! Or 10 years ago I was taught take the free meal, catch the hour nap, lay my bet on the side, and accept that mysterious envelope that shows up at the end of every week? ID LOST MY JOB! So yes, my FTO 10 years ago only had about 3 years on me... and to that I say THANK GOD! And Im not an FTO because I think the new guys need to learn the new ways of the world... let alone this department! And making corporate comparisons are like comparing apples and orangees! There is no education here no training, no job advancement based on time in grade! This is not the corporate world! I bet as mant working stiifs (if not more) die each year at the hands of a reckless cabbie than we do flying bullets so the comparison is mute! The point is, you old timers are not too valuable any more... PLEASE if you do get a recruit pushed on to you, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT teach him your ways! These guys have families, morals and a life outside of the CPD and Iras!!! Please, relics, stick to not answering jobs, bitching about the young guys, pissing off everyone (including your co-workers) and doing nothing! Us "new" college educated, in shape, not dirty, take pride in our job "newbies" will take care of training the new department... but thanks, sincerely, for the half century old black eye!!!

Signed, a hair gel!

Hey Hair-Gel,
As an old-timer who is both educated and superbly conditioned, I say f.u.! Now go back to jerking off in your mom's basement, and playing Dungeons & Dragons!

You can't even imagine the bloody shit that we "old timers" endured with integrity, pride and honor, punk.

You are correct on one implication--the corrupt lack of "job advancement" for the best and the brightest. Read CLOUT. It's never been worse.

Believe me. While I could elaborate, you're not worth it. Suffice to say, stay "mute" (sic) (it's m-o-o-t, smartass) and just SHUT THE FUCK UP! I repeat. SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Ah, you must be one of those new age "life coaches". Bring your tarot cards, pyramids and massage oils down to J-Fed.

Meanwhile, smell this!
