Nice Pinch

  • Chicago Police seized about 300 pounds of marijuana from a community grocery store in the West Pullman neighborhood overnight, finding it hidden in secret compartments and behind walls.

Police say they followed drug activity from the suburbs to the city. A tip led them to a large amount of marijuana at a tiny grocery store in the 12200 block of South Halsted Street.

Police said the drugs seized late Wednesday had a street value of about $1 million. Police say the pot was sold one pound at a time as part of a large-scale distribution operation.
Good jobs boys and girls.

How come CDR Carter took the pinch to 4, when it happened in 5?

Why not go to the Area?

Just wondering...would it have anything to do with the record number of PAR forms being filled out in 4?

A once proud district going to hell in a hand-basket.

So Eric has to try to make anything good news worthy because he has to out weigh the bad he is doing???

ATTORNEY GENERAL, SEN. VIVERITO PROPOSE PROGRAM TO ASSIST FAMILIES OF FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS

Amendment Designed to Remedy Bureaucratic Delays in Compensation Program

Springfield—Earlier today, legislation proposed by Attorney General Lisa Madigan and Sen. Louis Viverito (D-Chicago) that would create an assistance program for families of fallen law enforcement officers and military service members passed out of committee by a unanimous vote. The bill, if passed by the General Assembly, would amend the Line of Duty Compensation Act to ensure victims’ families gain efficient and effective access to information about their pending compensation claims.

What good does it do to bust pot dealers??? They'll be back out with twice as much dope tomorrow or the next day. The war on drugs is ridiculous.

Why poo poo a good pinch? The issue here isn't the war on drugs, save that for some other post. The guys made a good arrest. Also, they went to 004 because thats where they work out of, it is easier to do paper on your home turf. Besides 005 is crazy with all those units there. So don't try to make mountains of out mole hills, save the criticism for real issues.

Because the pinch was made by the Illiana Regional Gang Task Force which is stationed out of 004.

The Illiana Task Force finally gets one right!

I beg to differ. I believe it was the Illiana Task Force who caught the guys robbing and beating senior citizens on Chicago's SE side, Cal City and Hammond, Ind
and it was the Task Force that also arrested the four guys responsible for killing the little girl who was tying her blind sister's shoe on 87th Exchange which also was a high profile case and wasn't it the Task Force that caught the guy responsible for shooting 15 people on 87th & Escanaba. I could go on but I think you get the idea. Tnink before you speak

You wish you knew what you were talking about. Cmdr Carter left it up to us to decide where to process the dope. Lt. Mo Richards contacted the news to get his 15 minutes of fame. Thats funny, since I work in 004, I don't know of anyone trying to bid out. You must be the same pissed off asshole that is upset because he called your shit unlike punk ass Dana Alexander. The task for is doing a lot better without that pompass asshole (DA) trying to steal all the fame and not do a damn thing but sign some fucking reports. Lt. Mo is the brains behind the Task Force and it is about time we got a Cmdr. that lets him do his fucking job.

I have been here for more than 10 years. I have been through 4 Commanders, this is just a fucked up community and a fucked up district. What the fuck does that have to do with Commander Carter? Get a life ignorant asshole!

Its scary to have that much hate and anger for one person. What did he do to you or what didn't he do for you? I worked for him when he was a Sergeant and a Lieutenant. We kicked ass in 003 and he wasn't afraid to stand up for us and was not afraid to stand up to the Deputy Chief who padded one of our teams with his boys who's mission was to not do shit!

You are way off key with this one. I do respect the fact that everyone has an opinion and whoever you talk to in any district or unit either hates the boss or loves him. I really like the guy and all the working police in 004 that I know feels the same. I was there as a P.O. and a Sergeant and that is just a fucked up district, no matter who is the Commander.

He is one of the real police that we have left on this fucked up department. He is just not that kind of guy. He is just straight up and on behalf of EC I will tell you kiss his ass, who gives a fuck what you think, you evidentially never worked with him and are just a hater! Say some shit we can believe. Who gives a fuck about where dope that was seized by officers from 004 inventoried what the fuck they seized. Are you just chomping at the bit just waiting for a chance to put any shit out there you can huh? HATER

From one task force member to another, great work. Task forces do many good things that do not make the news, and its usually because its designed that way. Good for you guys.

Carter is a new Commander with some learning to do.

He's made a couple of poor changes, but most of the things he as done there have been positive.

He hasn't "cleaned house" or made any massive change.

Give him a chance.

Why all the attention to one Commander? The 004th District is no cup of tea or worth discussing. I think any negatives reflecting this guy has got to be personal not professional. I met him at the Awards ceremony. He was the only Boss that stopped and talked to me and my guys about our arrest. He remembered the bullshit lines they read and asked specifics. He also told us how great of a job we did. He didn't know us and we don't work in any south side district, but we do kick ass. Considering that was my first meeting with him and first impressions last, I was at least impressed with our first meeting.

Hang in there. They covered you in shit and they wonder why you stink like hell as you are trying to dig your way out.
