Up to Seven Cops Now

Has J-Fed added the Burger Queen to the list of culpable individuals?
  • Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis said Tuesday that seven officers violated rules when a 14-year-old boy allegedly impersonated an officer in January, going on patrol and participating in an arrest.

The seven officers will face discipline that could range from a verbal warning to dismissal, Weis said, but the final discipline will not be determined until after a "command channel review." All of the officers remain on duty.

Well, if they're all on duty at this point, we're guessing no one is going to be dismissed.
  • Weis said the boy arrived at the station at 1:30 p.m., was given a police radio and joined a police officer for a patrol. Weis said the boy did drive the police car for two hours of the five hours he was out and that he also assisted in a domestic arrest, helping to handcuff an individual who had apparently violated an order of protection.

You mean that press conference that was held immediately after the incident was all lies?
  • Contrary to published reports, the teen did not write tickets or have a ticket book, Weis said. But he did check out a radio from a police officer and did access the department in-car computers during the five hours he was on patrol.

Damn, there goes Daley's Olympic dreams. He was counting on those movers to finish filling that last briefcase full of cash for the Olympic Committee.

In any case, we're still wondering where J-Fed found two extra bodies to grease the wheels of the bus. First officer to meet the kid (1) who introduced him to the radio person (2) who gave him a radio and introduced him to the partner for a day (3); any field supervisor (4) who logged the kid and the Watch Commander (5). So who ends up at #6? Burger Queen ought to be #7, no question about it. It's her command so she bears some blame - that's the price you pay for the gold star.

Notice that by the time the traffic officer met this kid, he already had a police radio and was introduced as a phone transfer. That should be just about the least culpable officer of all.

This will be interesting: the Sgt is the one who figured it out and the WC never even knew the kid was out there because no one told him. So how are they culpable?

Jody's stinging because he supported her during the recent raid on that condo of hers - only to find out that his own beloved FBI is still looking at her on that for weapons violations. She's hot right now and not for the reason you'd like to think. Her past is catching up with her and fast.

And in order of who gets fucked:

1. Watch Commander - verbal warning
2. Sector Sgt. - verbal warning
3. Radio Guy - 5 days
4. Guy who Intro'd - 15 days
5. Officer ordered to work with the kid - 30 days pending

You can bet, as always, anything in white who has authority over anything in blue will take no heat or responsibility. And any white named in any punishment of any kind will fight and win back the removal of said blemish on their records, so as to continue their unfettered acendancey to the golden ranks of the exempt, as in exempt from department rules, exempt from local ordinance (cuello) and exempt from state and federal laws.

The least culpable will be the most fucked, as per the exempt/daley/Chicago way.

What about his political comments about Obama while in uniform....what about Aunt Bea's House of Ill Repute.....what about all the other stuff that goes on with the brass in this department and nothing is ever said. The reason any of this shit happens is because we have leaders who are not qualified all the way up the chain....not everyone but look around at some of these guys that are sergeants and lieutenants and they have never even made an arrest.....Weis is a laughing stock...Daley's little man

Can't say I feel sorry for Weis and his bookends at this latest "no excuses in 2009!" Press conference.
And do we have anyone in the "inner circle" who is a worse public speaker than Peterson?
Amazingly, Jackson and McCotter said absolutely nothing during this whole "event." I guess that after that terrible press conference held by JJ and DD after the "impersonation" occurred, the powers that be had decided that JJ should "remain mum."

1. The supervisor who busted the kid never came in contact with the kid until the end of the shift. By Weis’ own admission, the names can’t be divulged because we’re in the “adjudication phase”, although the investigation is complete, judgment has been rendered as guilty, and the sentence has already been determined. So according to Weis, the “adjudication phase” comes in right after you’ve been tried, convicted and sentenced without the opportunity to confront your accusers or witnesses.

2. Notice how the top morons love to bring up the term “labor agreements” any chance they can, obviously in some effort to upset the public with the fact that we have ANY rights whatsoever.

3. Did anyone count how many times Weis claims we’re now going thru the “adjudication phase”?

4. The kids involvement is alleged by Weis to be “very minor” and “extraordinarily insignificant”, in which he describes the kid took the offender’s arm and positions it in the middle of the offender’s back so he could be handcuffed. This statement alone telegraphs LOUD AND CLEAR that Weis has NO CLUE as to what part of an arrest is minor or dangerous. It’s the guy who takes physical control of the suspect who’s in the most danger of getting hurt or his a$$ kicked. Putting the handcuffs on someone who someone ELSE has already restrained is part of the arrest normally deemed “very minor” and “extraordinarily insignificant”. Idiot. It's amazing the display of lack of police procedure and common sense this idiot puts forth.

5. “A force of numbers keeps things from breaking down in any particular way”, but it’s OK to send one man units to in progess calls and it’s OK to shortchange that “force of numbers” for the sake of Daley’s Olympic dreams isn’t it? Not to mention it’s OK to shortchange the CPD by 54 million dollars so Daley’s cronies can drink at the money trough to translate city brochures… you know, the ones people use as scratch paper and then throw away?

6.Weis states clearly that IAD has already determined guilt based on interviews and has determined the appropriate punishment, all without the officer’s being able to confront witnesses or challenge testimony or challenge the evidence itself. Amazing how the officers are found guilty before they get to address the accusations…. And in a case like this, addressing the accusations during the “adjudication phase” is actually the equivalent of filing an APPEAL to the conviction AND SENTENCE you’ve already been hit with.

7. “We’re PLEASED to announce that 7 people APPEARED to have violated policy”. I guess that’s a great way to pat IAD on the back for the one sided investigation, conviction and sentencing. I guess Weis is ALWAYS happy to tell the public that he’s found a cop that’s violated policy…. Kinda in keeping with the federal policy told to academy students of always searching for a cop to convict, and it’s even better if you can get a gold star convicted.

8. So according to Weis, he intends to “send a clear message” with his investigation, conviction and sentencing of these officers. It’s painfully obvious from his direct quotes that these officers are going to be made an example of to “send a clear message”, meaning these officers are going to be assaulted with suspension and or firing to “send a clear message” rather than retrain these people to prevent the same occurrence. Much like Daley feels the need to increase fines and penalties in every way possible, but just to “send a clear message” that’s it’s not ok to break the law… it hasn’t got anything to do with raking in more cash, it’s just to teach people a lesson.

9. Because this kid was assigned to a traffic car, he didn’t go to roll call. So that is supposed to absolve the Desk Sgt. and Watch Commander from their responsibility to observe and assign this kid to a particular car for the night? Sounds like part of the supervisory mattress just fell out for everyone to see exactly how Weis and Co. are going to let the white shirts slide on accountability.

10. And last but not least, why in god’s name would they even think of letting a mushmouth slob like Peterson in front of a camera to dribble on the mike like a 90 year old stroke victim? What a complete embarrassment.

Speaking of transfers, I did a quick count on the latest transfer order. 55 PPO's assigned to districts (as PO's now) 57 PO's moved from districts to units. Net LOSS for patrol from this tranfer order? 2. Now, how many retired this month? Come on, Jody, how about more boots on the ground as you promised???

Off Topic:

I am interested if any of the posters here have children that go to Mt Greenwood Public School. The reason I ask is that I have children that go to the local Catholic School (SC) and the quality of teaching has noticeably decreased in the past couple of years. The Principal blows the parents off and is generally disinterested in the students.

I am considering transferring them to Mt Greenwood for the next school year as I, and many other parents I talk to at the school, feel that we are not getting our moneys worth.

Thanks for any replies.

3/02/2009 04:35:00 PM

I will tell you, you will not go wrong. Your first problem will be with SC, they (SC) are getting fed up with the CCD kids playing the sports and not having to pay tuition (except for football players). So, you will deal with some backlash there and it is starting to grow stronger. (Keep in mind, that as long as you are in CCD/REP, the Church says your child CAN play sports. Just some angry, jealous old time Mount Greenwood types who are raising hell about this).

Now, as far as school goes - you can not do any better unless your kids go to Keller. I know all of the QM, SC, CAJ, SJF people will chime in, but they are just going to be biased, not open minded. Your kids will do a lot better, and learn a lot more. It is hard for all of us who went to Catholic school as kids to open up and realize that we did not learn anything more/less than the other kids, at least in grade school. High school - different story, but that is not our topic today.

MG, and the principal, Mrs. Reidy, have done A LOT, there are not too many "outside" kids enrolled anymore. She has cleaned up that crap - no longer do you get to live at 103rd and Racine and go to MG. If more people sent there kids to MG, it would look more like the neighborhood itself. I would say it is about 85% the correct way, and a lot of the other 15% are special needs kids in the LD classes. The more that send their kids there, the more we will go on to being a 90% correct school.

I have come across a lot of parents who are now saving the grade school tuition and placing it in an account for high school, because sadly, there is no CPS option for your son/daughter there. Send them to CPS for high school and you're taking a huge risk - is it worth it? NO, not in my book. I would not even send my kid to Young, I'll just work special and pay for Marist.

You will not be sorry you made the switch. SC people will harp on me, but they know it too, the school is way too crowded and the teachers are not certified and not the best things for your children. Yo are not getting what you pay for.

Good luck, hope this helps you, and maybe will see you at a school event next year.

3/02/2009 05:42:00 PM

..

I am curious about high school. I live by the Ag school and it looks like a nice school. I have swam there with my kids and gone to birthday parties there. If the neighborhood people go there do the get first chance to get in or is it one of those schools who have to take a percentage of people from outside the neighborhood?

Thanks for any advice. I do not want to appear uninformed but I did not go to School in the city and moved to Mt Greenwood when I was employed by the city.

What I've got to know, is what star number did they use for the imposter to give credit for the arrest when they did the arrest in Clear? Wouldn't that be an indication that this kid with the bogus star number that didn't match his name isn't really a cop? You might be able to bull shit the house mouse in the radio room watching dvds on his portable as to what the star number was, but wouldn't the automated arrest report be a dead giveaway? Red flags should have risen there and then...unless his "partner" didn't put him on the arrest. I'm just sayin'....

But then again if Daley puts enough money in their pockets it won't matter.

If the neighborhood people go there do the get first chance to get in or is it one of those schools who have to take a percentage of people from outside the neighborhood?

Thanks for any advice. I do not want to appear uninformed but I did not go to School in the city and moved to Mt Greenwood when I was employed by the city.

Hey Media! Are there any of you guys left with some guts and a little bit of smarts who can call the brass out on their lying press conference about the 14 year old the other week? They stood in front of you guys and on TV and lied! Plain and simple. This is an easy one for you guys just get the tape. I'm sure they will say they didn't have the facts, but that would be an even bigger lie. They always pride themselves on being in the know and having their finger on the pulse, but when things go wrong they know nothing. RULE 14 VIOLATION! P.S. Why Did Cuello get a pass? Look into it!

Loan Charity's High-Flying Guests Exposed

WASHINGTON (CBS News) ―

Educap is a multibillion-dollar student loan charity run by CEO Catherine Reynolds. As CBS News Investigative Correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reported Monday night, Educap is under investigation by the IRS and Congress for alleged abuse of its tax-exempt status because it charges high interest on charitable student loans, and provides lavish perks with millions in compensation for Reynolds and her husband.

CBS News has learned that high-profile names on the Educap flight list include CIA Director Leon Panetta, former Sens. Tom Daschle and Ted Stevens, former FBI Director William Sessions AND CHICAGO MAYOR RICHARD DALEY.

loan.charity.educap.2.949756.html

**********************************

unfortunatly, how it stands now daley did nothing illegal. if he gave to the charity and the president of the charity asked him to accompany her on her plane then there is no problem. if a president of a company wants to let them on her plane and take him and his family to 58 different places for being a donor then that is up to the president of the company. its horrible buisness and may not look good to the public but that is what they can do. many non-profit organizations do this every day. if anyone can get in trouble it is the president of the company and not daley... he escapes again.

In regards to 022. I'm not the one that's posted the comment on 1st and 3rd watch coppers. But I am an officer in 007 with five years on who has tried to bid into 022 but with no luck. And I most certainly feel the homeland should be protected. But that's a hard feat when anytime I've tried to bid, I'm beat out by guys with at least five more years on than me.

I imagine that some officers in 022 just want the easy road and want to just "collect checks". But then there are those who still have that fire in them, although it may have dimmed a bit, it's still there to make a difference, and give mine or my neighbors kids a positive roll model. And unfortunatly those are the stuck on the east end for hours on end chasing jobs. Or perhps their being proactive despite the low morale. Either way we need bodies and bad

McCotter has become the patrol lackey that gets rolled out in case there's a question. Where was Dugan, where was Williams (Chief of Patrol-South) Where was Brust, Skahill, or Klimmus.
Jackson is just black window dressing. Every stupid idea has come from the Skull and are now being echoed by McCotter.

I'm curious about high school too, and it's never too early to get the kids thinking about getting a great CPS education in these tough times. I really hope no one holds our CPD employment against us.

Junior's in the 7th grade at St. James of the Sag in Lemont. $12,000 a year but it's worth every penny. The Ag High School's an option with junior's G.P.A., but my boy's got asthma and it just smells BAD over there in the warm months. Catholic H.S. is damn expensive now that Lolita's lost her job at the Nabisco plant. Maybe Julian? Our kids can take the #103 there together next fall. I live at 104/Claremont: where do you live? Do they allow only white kids to walk through your neighborhood too?

So, a press conference, being the department's report to the press, and, thus, to the public at large, isn't either an oral or written official report?

And said city government department isn't officially falsely reporting when said reporting is, in fact, false and is, in fact, being reported to the press and, thus, to the public?

It's one thing to report nothing, it's another thing to lie.

Few support the other departments of this city lying to the press and, thus, the public.

Why the exception here?

Either report the truth or report nothing.

Lying should not be an option.

To the uninformed dope who is berating beat 2211 on 1st watch. You have no idea what you are talking about. First the burlgar from the bars was caught at least a week ago. And garage burglaries have happened since garages were invented. This week two white boys from who knows where attempted to get into a garage. As you should know most residential burglaries happen on days. Feel free to come into 022 and share your vast knowledge of crime solutions and prevention. Make an appointment with the watch commander I am sure that she would be happy to hear what you have to say. You have little misinformation that you turned into a gospel. Shut up or put up. If you have a specific issue call it in. First watch is a hard working watch with good officers. You are a dope.

Yeah we're awfully protective of Bea. We just broke the condo story minutes before the Tribune, immediately and consistently called for her resignation, published a photo of her and J-Fed together on the Titanic, and noted over and over again the double standard being applied here. Yup - protective.

What we did in terms of censorship was remove a few comments that seemed to link her to the "Burger Queen" sobriquet so as to spare the writer unintended embarrassment and ourselves extra work for all the comments that would be ripping the crap out of someone who didn't mean to appear ignorant, but did.

I’ve spent my time in Dist's in A-2, A-1, SOS, Now I'm on a gun team. I love what I do. That’s the reason I do it. I do it for ME! I’ve got guns, dope, bad guys, all day, every day! I don’t need a pat on my back, just my 1st, 16th, and the OT checks. And it’s real easy to catch someone around 68th and Halsted fuckin’ up! It really doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist! However, in the grand scheme of things, and I’d like you to think about this for a minute or two: WHO REALLY GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT 68TH & HALSTED? Unless you, or your family is nearby, the answer is NOT TOO MANY! That’s why 68th and Halsted is fucked up, and going to be fucked up for a long time!

What I do care about is where I LIVE AT! That chunk of 004, 022, 008, 016 that your co-workers live. Where my wife is doing the laundry, when I’m in your oh so precious “E-wood”. Where my kid is playing at whilst I’m at 26th and Cal. THAT’S WHAT THE REAL POLICE CARE ABOUT! I DO give a fuck about who’s on 2211, why there hasn’t been a sighting of a blue and white west of Cicero, and the notorious 1611. You want to know who I am; I’m the one that sits behind you at roll call, the one that helped you on your domestic. I’m the one that puts in a par form to go to 022, 016, 008, because I’m sick of driving to the ghetto every day. The one that has figured out that my paycheck will be the same if I’m your partner in 007, 011, 005, 015, as it will be when I’m able to drive 5 minutes to 022, 016, 008. But you can’t beat the “peace of mind” knowing that some one that has “been there, done that” and is the “Real Police” is driving down MY street, patrolling MY block keeping MY house and family safe! And, talking to my TAX PAYING NEIGHBOR, They’d like the same too! “Cause he’s sick of HIS TAX DOLLARS going to pay the medical bills for the AGG BAT of that dope slinging, gang banging piece of rabid rat shit that you just pulled the RD on 68th & Halsted for.

Why not find out how much Boeing, Lockhead, and Haliburton, etc are making off our tax dime? Oh - yeah- Haliburton relocated to Dubai so they can't be touched now or be held accountable. Look up how much wealier Dick is now after 8 years of war.

I have no problem with my tax dollars going to hungry kids who don't deserve the environment they were born into-or deserve the idiot parents they got stuck with- I do have a problem with my tax money being given to AIG or Northern Trust for star studded cocktail parties or spa treatments. Or bailing out Wall Street thieves that have left our economy in a shambles.

Hey- did anyone find out how much of our pension fund was with Maddoff?

What about the whole debacle with the Lieutenant's association forcing VEBA down people's throats, forcing a quick vote with little discussion and LYING about the IRS regulations forcing people to turn over 10% of their saved time due to fund an account? The Lt's association says that the fund can only be left to a spouse or dependents not to the designated benficiary of your choice. The IRS says you CAN leave it to a designated benficiary. The city picks Nationwide to run it and the IRS says the members of a VEBA pick who runs it.

The reality check: We're in trouble with retiree health care and funding it. The city doesn't want the long term burden. This is the same deal the automakers made with their unions to get out of funding retiree health care at the level they had.

The VEBA might be a best case scenario-but fund it as IRS regulations require and run via IRS regulations-not the Daley taking your hours to avoid paying you later-getting a cut from nationwide- who will pay Daley out of the fees they will charge you for the money you had no choice in giving up.

I'm not anti-VEBA- I think it's a great idea- if voluntary- and if the city follows the IRS guidelines-and allows us to designate a benficiary- and chose who manages the fund.

No more brown envelopes for Daley or funding the 2016 Olympics off our backs!

the kid tried to do the same thing on the 2nd watch that same day and got kicked out of the district!! I do not feel bad for the 3rd district. Observation people, is a skill that even a 2 year wonder should have in order to be safe.
Please go home safely boys and girls. Keep your eyes and ears open as police have many enemies and God Bless.

WC never even knew the kid was out there because no one told him. So how are they culpable?
W/C is accountable for the whole watch....someone should have told him/her that they had an "extra" police officer that day...someone had to put them on the roster sheet at the last minute, or should have, and they should have been on someone's log...someone should have updated the sgt. that had the original one man car that he now has a 2 man car...as far as rosters go, in most districts the w/c lets the watch sec. do the fill in the blanks.....big mistake

How about lying on the initial "statement" that the lad was never involved in any arrests or that he never drove? Where are the news hounds now? Questions for Jody before "will the defendant please rise!"
