What's Up With This?
- Four years ago, when New York's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games ended in a resounding defeat, Bob Ctvrtlik knew that years of revolving door-leadership within the U.S. Olympic Committee played a role in that outcome.
"We haven't had a lot of continuity with international relations," Ctvrtlik said in 2005, when he was one of the International Olympic Committee members from the United States. "People in other countries put a lot of weight on face time."
Thursday's surprise resignation of USOC Chief Executive Jim Scherr gives the rest of the world the old impression the USOC still can't get its act together.
Where Chicago's 2016 Olympic hopes are concerned, there could not be a worse time for the USOC to lose the man who has been its primary face since 2003.
Might just be the push needed to have the first ever South American Games in Rio. Chalkie really likes Rio. Something to the tune of tens of thousands per year evidently.

Not to point a finger but maybe raise an eyebrow. Remember back when Salt Lake City’s attempt to win the bid in 2002, there was a huge scandal, granted it was swept under the rug, but it came out none the less. BRIBES were paid to several on the US committee and several on the International Committee so that SLC could get the nod. I believe there were like 10 individuals that resigned from both committees.
Now I totally forgot about that, but a very reliable source had reminded me along with the fact that the Feds have been just a bit busy in the wire tap dept. lately.
So I had to put it together and wondered, not that Shortshanks would stoop to something like this, I mean, it would be inconceivable that he would even consider anything of the short. Maybe the same little bird that told Burris gottcha…
OK now I’m going off and just being creative at this point …
I was told that there is light at the end of the tunnel for Chicago… but as of the last few years, that could mean a fargin train too.
Chicago is an absolute lock for the Olympics.
With this global economic problem, the safest, surest bet is to have the games in the US.

(OT) Does anyone know what happened around 52nd and Menard on 811's beat at about 2130 hours? There was a shots fired call,my neighbor said it was from a blue full size van any info? There is a large group of mexican gang bangers that moved into the 5200 block of parkside! Maybe LEO could bring his msf crew over and straighten this bullshit out? Thanks to the Peoria Police pension board and their fervant fight to keep a child from getting his dead father's pension, the attorney for the board somehow "convinced" the Apellete Court to bypass any state statute that was meant to protect members. The decision now allows any State of Illinois pension board to "exclusively" make any and all decisions regarding the use of pension monenies, even if it breaks a state statute. They can give away your money to anyone they want.

The burger queen is pissed, it seems that an arrest was made for impersonating the police in the third district. This all went down on 1st watch. Well after it was all said and done nobody notified anyone. 2nd watch crew wasn't aware until the media began calling and asking for details. Then IAD started calling, and the deputies office and so on and so on. well to make matters worse J fed was at a news conference and when asked by the media what was going on he didn't know what to say. Simply because no one made any notifications to anybody. How friggin stupid can these idiots be?
