Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who:
vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it?
are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying?
consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected?
want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?
punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not?
admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda?
run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China?
want government controlled health care?
want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?
refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?
appoint a defender of child pornography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department?
want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will?
want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels?
want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts?
take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?

Off duty Chicago Police Officer gets awoken at 0430 by his eight year old daughter. She is crying. She tells her father that a car in the street is hitting other cars and is now stuck on the parkway after hitting a tree. The father puts on his pants, grabs his gun and star and runs outside to find his neighbors already surrounding the vehicle as it attempts to flee. The driver, a female is wasted, completely intoxicated on alcohol and who knows what else. She hit a car on the Edens exway and then struck several other vehicles and fixed objects in my neighborhood while attempting to flee from original accident. The Cops from 017 show up on scene call for an ambulance for the intoxicated driver, do their lengthy accident report and proceed to fuck the entire thing up. First they don't give people the proper copies of accident report with the offenders vehicle and insurance info(unit 1). Now the neighbors have to make phone calls and special trips to 017 for this information. My one neighbor is told by the desk in 017 that the information is not available and she will have to go to 35th/Michigan to request a copy. This is 5 hours after the accident. This person hit her parked car. Shouldn't she atleast get a copy of the off. insurance info? Secondly the coppers wrote tickets to this drunk bitch but never DUI'd her. She signed herself out at the hospital and was back in my neiborhood two hours later MF'ing my neighbors whose vehicles she struck in her drunken stooper. Thank God she didn't hurt someone seriously, this time. Thanks to 017 coppers on Midnights and their supervisors she will be back on the streets soon. I only hope she makes her next rampage thru their neighborhood. It's hard to tell my neighbors how coppers need a raise and better contract when this is the kind of service that is provided to them in the highest property taxed area in the city.
For crying out loud! Can't we stay out of trouble for one minute?
A guilty man doesn't run! Guys and gals, how many times do you have to be reminded - IF YOU ARE GOING OUT DRINKING, CALL A CAB! You got enough money to drink, throw an extra $20 in you pocket for the cab.
Thanks office...our great showing last week at city hall just got flushed down the shitter.
It's only been a week or so since the last story about that copper embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars for that elderly person. The public was just clamoring for a new story that gave yet black eye to the CPD!
This is very sad and unfortunate, both for the copper and for the people he hurt. He has had problems in the past and someone should have intervened long ago.
A tragedy. In today's society with everyone screaming past each other, it was refreshing to read this from the Tribune:
The witnesses told police they also tried to aid the occupants of the burning vehicle, but it was too late.
Despite the unusual circumstances surrounding the crash, Cazares' cousin said the family bears no ill will toward police. "They are human beings, just like all of us," he said. "They make mistakes."
oh man. Just try to remember we are all human and make mistakes. He did not intentionally set out to do that last night. Please keep the officer and his family in your prayers. They will need us more than ever now.
I said the same thing when I got into work thins morning. He's coming to Area 4 after the hospital and I can't imagine the circus we'll have in the office while the ISP process the remaining aspect of their case.
i've said it a thousand times, TAKE A FUCKING CAB! now someone is dead and the survivor's life might as well be over. are people ever going to learn? DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE IT'S VERY SIMPLE!
I heard that the current recruit class in the academy is slowly shrinking. They started with 54 recruits and now are down to 42 recruits. Somehow, 8 recruits were injured in the gym. At this rate, they are lucky to have 30 recruits at graduation. But this is enough as Weiss said we are at 97% staffing.
We are imperfect people doing an imperfect job dealing with people who have far more imperfections than us. There are people out there who will give us the benefit of the doubt when we make a mistake on-duty, but they will not give us the benefit of the doubt when it is an off-duty mistake. One news source is reporting that the officer's bac was three times the legal limit. I pray that this is not true. If this is true he is done. He will be lucky to be given an opportunity to express remorse and give speeches against drinking and driving in order to lessen his sentence to anywhere from 10-20 years. This will haunt his conscience for the rest of his life that two people were horribly burnt to death because of his irresponsibility. This has happened before and it should never happen again at the hands of a CPD member. If you going to drink, do it at home or arrange for transportation. Two lives gone forever and one life destroyed. Two families devastated forever and yet again another black eye for the rest of us.
Interesting, on the Sun Times web site they completely disabled comments about the islamic woman who killed her kid and was then photographed without her scarf, yet it's been a complete free for all of police bashing on the comments about this story.
the family bears no ill will toward police. "They are human beings, just like all of us," he said. "They make mistakes." ======================= A Good Friday lesson. Under the circumstances, you could imagine the family would hate every one of us. It's good to know that we aren't always held to a higher standard.
The accident and circumstances were tragic. But the fact that the DUI driver was a cop has nothing to do with it, any more than the fact that a murder victim was a CPS student.
In regards to the accident with the Off-Duty P.O. .. first reports ADMIT the officer was walking away from from the scene probably because he was suffering from disillusionment from his head wounds.. HOWEVER when they found out he was a cop down here the state was told to FUCK 'EM.
The fact that this city has 10,000 coppers working for it means one will screw up seriously from time to time, but still it does reflect on all. As much as we will screw around a good bit simply because we are the police, we must know when to draw the line and hold ourselves to a higher standard if only for the sake of our brothers and sisters in law enforcement. The shame is cast over all of us for the deeds of one. That one this time is only the one who got caught in a high drama case screwing up. There are always many who get lucky going home DUI. I personally know one copper who had a one-car crash on the way home after a post 3-11 shift night out that has him in a wheelchair for life. He only avoided public trouble as he was the only one involved. Think about it. In your 20's married with children and wheelchair bound forever. It happens. Use your heads people. It isn't cool at all.
Scratch my last comment SCC, I just read what you're talking about. You're right. FUCK!!!!!!!! Use your head people and maybe just maybe think once in a while.
He may be a fellow officer but he just dry fucked us ten fold. I have no sympathy for him, I lost someone to a drunk driver and you have no idea what it does to a family. Pull your heads out of your asses and stay the fuck home and drink. The old days are over. 3x the legal limit? How the fuck can you think you can get behind the wheel and drive. YOU CAN'T. I feel bad for his family and the families of the people that were killed, sorry not him.
If you think you might have a problem with drinking, you probably do. For God's sake, get help. There is no shame in having a drinking problem. There IS shame in having a problem and refusing to do anything about it.
Guess what. Your drinking does affect other people. Not only you, but your family, your friends, your coworkers, and innocent people like the two guys with a flat tire on the shoulder.
So many lives ruined. Please don't drink and drive. And if yoy can't stop drinking once you start- don't drink. Get help.
I can't believe, in this environment, any one of us would get drunk-get behind the wheel of any vehicle-get in an accident that kills 2 people-then try to leave the fucking scene?!?!?! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!? ARE WE STUCK ON STUPID OR WHAT?????
Even if you don't give a fuck about yourself, at least think of your damn family. And everyone has SOME kind of family that will be hurt by your stupid ass being locked up for the next several decades!!!
Call a fucking cab for goodness sake. It woulda been SSSOOO much cheaper in the long run. Hell, call your partner's ex-wife to come get you if you can't think of anyone else!
My apologies for the language...I am just utterly fricking disgusted. I feel sorry for the people who died's families and for his family. May God have mercy on him, because it's for sure the courts aren't going to if what's being reported is even partially true.
another guy who can't hold his mud or is just a regular idiot. while this is tragic for the det involved imagine how tragic it is for the family of the deceased.
Well it was nice to see an officer from Chicago make it out to Pittsburg Funeral Service for the slain officers. An officer Patrick McGrath drove all the way from Chicago according to interview.
Based on the mayor's reasoning in the Abbatte case, Jodi should be run out of town soon. Cops planting dope on thier ex-wives, the tow truck scandals, and now this! Obviously Jodi has no control of this out of control Department! Time to run him out of town!
In addition, when the retarded midget comes to FlOP with requests for concessions to plug the budget gap, offer to accept layoffs of a hundred officers - from the budgeted amount. That way we only need to hire 1900 instead of 2000. Otherwise tell him to go fuck himself.
4/10/2009 03:24:00 PM
GOOD!
There hasn't been enough failing at the academy for the last 20 years.
Softballs getting injured in a damn gym class, at least reporting that they're injured. Let's hope they never get on this job.
media black-out on our march but like a previous poster said, the comment sections of the scum-times & fibune are a fucking free for all with every police hater with an opinion & an asshole has silly shit to say...
Drink + Drive = STUPID!!! When the FUCK!!!!! Will we learn??? Goodbye job....goodbye house....goodbye family......Hello Prison!!! No Excuses...just STUPID!!!!
Not knowing the whole story I cannot condem him, the facts that are being reported don't look good. My prayers go out to the family of the deceased, whatever happens it will be horrible for them. My prayers also go out to the officer, his family has suffered a lot of tragedy in the last year and this just adds to it. BUT whatever the case may be, I will stand by my friend, right or wrong, because that is what friends do, I will also ask myself, did I miss the signs of some type of problem? could I or one of our other friends have prevented this tragedy? BUT I will stand by my friend, I will not condem him, those of you who do, that's your right, but remember the first one of us who hasn't sinned be the one to cast the first stone.
Hey asshole, I guess hitting the police car in 009 last year severly injuring two officers while you were drunk wasn't enough of a wake up call huh??? Worst part is, you never did apologize to those officers and what was it that you said about that incident? Something like, "What, I didn't do anything that bad?" Yeah, enjoy prison you fucking asshole. Let's see your bridgeport clout get you out of this one.
CPD has put a blind eye to DUI for too long. I have been told by a W.C. on the next watch that I made a B.S. arrest when getting approval on a DUI and I should learn to find real criminals. I hope this officer was not DUI. We all know better and should set the example...its no different than gun safety.
Daley cronie. Lets see what happens. Maybe he can get the same lawyer as the off duty Chicago Fire Dept. chief who killed a guy who was changing his tire on the side of the expressway ramp. He received probation. Go figure!
In regards to the accident with the Off-Duty P.O. .. first reports ADMIT the officer was walking away from from the scene probably because he was suffering from disillusionment from his head wounds.. HOWEVER when they found out he was a cop down here the state was told to FUCK 'EM.
Jesus! Who was this guy drinking with? Who would let a friend get into a car in that condition? Was he drinking alone? If so, what bar served him that much liquor and then let him walk out and get into his car? Not looking for a scapegoat. This Officer is a grown up and knew better but come on. No one was interested in his well being? Brace yourselves, I don't think this will blow over for awhile. It will just be added to the other bar/DUI related incidents.

4/10/2009 04:35:00 PM ***************************************************** Dude, you wrote the biggest bunch of bullshit I heard in a long time, get real!
When I was young and stupid, I did this shit too. Too often. Never had an accident.
...But for the grace of God there go I...
NOW, I have never spent more than twenty bucks on a cab including a tip. Best money I ever spend.
Besides the avoidance of jamming myself up, Its usually an interesting trip home, you get to hear interesting stories about faraway lands, or act anti-police and see how bad of an asshole they are and then when you get out do the old star show when pulling out the wrong wallet and watch the asshole's face, or just make up shit, its better than the internet, tell 'em you are looking forward to getting your license after being in prison for 8 years for murder, or set your phone to keep ringing every couple of minutes and then keep picking it up and arguing with different pretend people about totally different things and in between the arguments, have your pretend wife and mistress both call you,,,
And get them started on Shortshanks and the Aldercreatures, funniest fucking thing you ever heard is someone cursing Daley out with a thick Pakistani accent, I make up shit about the mayor, and they all know which Aldervccreatures have not vcoted their way,
I tell 'em I was his bodyguard but he got mad because I was taller than him, or that he always smells his fingers, or that he is afraid to use the bathroom before someone checks it first and you have to flush the toilet for him because he is afraid to touch it, or he paints his toenails, weird stuff like that, that is believable and hopefully they pass along,
But actually most cabbies are just hard working stiffs, and they have a few war stories of their own.
If you are getting lucky, it affords you the opportunity to have both hands free, come on what could be better than that.
This is very sad and unfortunate, both for the copper and for the people he hurt. He has had problems in the past and someone should have intervened long ago.
4/10/2009 12:58:00 PM
I see, you were aware of his "problems," yet were to busy, or hoped, someone else would intervene, and now are playing Monday morning QB.
i am very sorry for the family of the ones that were killed, very sorry. He's been in trouble for his whole career and his clout or whoever took care of it time and time again. He put a po in the hospital last year while he was on his way home. This was going to happen. Something was bound to happen that was so big that no one was going to be able to take care of it. He wasnt three times over, he was just over 3. ISP didn't fuck him, he fucked himself. He killed two people, what do you think is going to happen when you kill two people, that some cop, whether it be cpd or isp, is just going to take you home? Think, we have been warned time and time again and we ignore, kasper and now this, Think people, think next time. Take a cab, get a room, stay at a friend's house, don't go out if you can't handle it. One day it will catch up with you, like it did to him. God bless him and his family and the family of the ones killed.

4/10/2009 04:35:00 PM
The state wasn't told shit! They are doing the investigation by the book. Which is what anyone of us would want if it were our famly members that were killed by a DUI driver. This det. FUCKED himself!
Anonymous said... when will we stop doing stupid shit.

Anonymous said... what will it take for us to learn?
4/10/2009 06:10:00 PM
Eliminate the political hiring process and corruption.Use the existing standards and actually enforce them to attract and maintain qualified and dedicated people.
Look!!! I'm sick and fucking tired of reading "oh.....were fucked " stop beating the fucking shit out of ourselves, we have enough jagoffs doing this to us from the shortshanks to j-pud on down to the whores in the media. This poor bastard is gonna spend the next 5-10 years in the shithouse......not fucking you asshole so stop fucking whining. He made the mistake and hopefully you wont make the same one. Theres another lesson to be learned here and fortunately you might learn from it. My heart goes out to the family but even they are sound forgiving so stop beating the fuck out of this because theres others will gladly do it for us.
Oh well....another one of us will get to do a "training video" on the hazards of drinking & driving from the visitor's room at a local penitentiary....Jesus, help us, for some of us truly know not what we do...
This is tragic no matter what. The officer is going to lose, not only his job, but his carrer and freedom. He also has to live wth the fact that he killed two people. The two deaths are compounded by the fact that they lost their lives due to a tragic accident. No matter if the alcohol was a factor or not, these two are dead and there is nothing that can be done about it. The family, altough they are forgiveing now, will not be shortly. THey will live their lives without their loved one.
You guys and gals have to understand that times are different. There are millions of vehicle on the road at all hours of the day and night. I think there was a study that reported that 54% of all drivers on the road between 11pm and 4am are intoxicated. It does not matter if you are stopped at a light and get rear ended, causing the death of the driver who hit you, you will lose your job and be tried in criminal court. Get a ride, take a cab, or don't drink. Please learn this. All of the families involved are in my prayers.
all the '' you guys'' people are gonna come out of the woodwork. you guys killed those people etc....society likes to paint us with a wide brush. the truth is i am responsible for my actions. the stupid shit other police do is on them.
If this guy is able to bond out and avoid awaiting trial in Cook County Jail, he is a lucky and greatly privileged man indeed.
After that, he will have A. ibuprofen and B. earplugs from the commissary to help him deal with his new environment, and if his luck's still holding one of the kindly Gideons will make the rounds in Stateville R&C and give him a pocket Bible.
Bleak.
This seems a nasty sort of full moon. Everyone watch yourselves. Went out for a bicycle ride last night and tonight, had problems with aggressive drunks both nights. Can't even relax and stretch your legs.
They really have lost their fear of man and left any sense they may have had in the hall closet on their way out the door.
Impervious. "Do I look like someone you should be bothering?" They simply ignore this and continue pressing their case...
I see, you were aware of his "problems," yet were to busy, or hoped, someone else would intervene, and now are playing Monday morning QB.
You are a piece of shit!!!
Yes, I was aware he had problems, and so was everyone else. I however wasn't even remotely close to him. Just how do you suggest I should have helped him?? and now I am the piece of shit? Oh, should I have ratted him out for the other accidents he has been in and nothing happened just because no one was injured? I simply wanted to say that his friends should have sought help for him, ultimately it's up to him to take it or leave it.
Damn shame, I like the guy, but he was saved at least once that I know of, by a very well respected "great guy" that should have kicked him in the ass for it. Some kind of consequence then might have prevented this now.

When you are drunk logic does not work. That is the problem. You think you can drive with no problem. It is up to your friends to not let you drive, but if they are all drunk also, you have lost that protection.

What kind of disillusionment? Drunk driving wasn't as much fun as he thought it would be? The Lexus can't take a punch? He didn't qualify for the stimulus package? His hairline was receding? What was he disillusioned about?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, we know what you're talking about. I wonder how much this is going to cost the taxpayers.
Yep, have another drink.
well? Any info?
Tribune is reporting the driver of the SUV tried to flee the scene after witnesses helped him from the car. That's never a good sign.
I guess this is about the off duty cop involved in the hit and run that caused a double fatality.
Again CPD steals the spot light from CFD who failed to find the dead fire victim. You guys just can't seem to ever catch a break.
I wish I didn't.

That son of a bitch. His exploits of drinking in Dugans and Shinnicks are legendary folklore in the 009 District. We all hate this guy.

Once again if you are going to drink, DO IT AT HOME!!!!!!! One of OUR own makes us all look like out of control drunks, again.
Let's not jump to conclusions!!!!!!
He could have had a medical episode, stroke, heart attack etc. The attempt to flee could have been shock.
Oh boy, sorry folks. Not good.

Another Black eye...? We just keep taking it on the chin.
It's only been a week or so since the last story about that copper embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars for that elderly person. The public was just clamoring for a new story that gave yet black eye to the CPD!
Don't drink & drive.

I hope he was just tired!
Did I miss something? Do I live in a vacuum?
???
When will it end!!! Damn I'm so tired of hearing all the negative shit about us everytime I watch the news.... Will it ever end?
That about sums it up.
Two dead and alcohol allegedly involved.

Tragic.
oh man. Just try to remember we are all human and make mistakes. He did not intentionally set out to do that last night. Please keep the officer and his family in your prayers. They will need us more than ever now.
???? Now what oh SCC tell us!! I am on furlough what did we miss?? Tease!
Sadly, that sums it up.
what????
Think about what you are doing DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
my comment is I have none..just shaking my head
Off Duty? Tried to flee? Not fuck!!! but Fucked!!!!!!
Take a taxi. Drink Close to home. Its not that hard. Why can't we get this right?
Yeah, we do!!!!! how sad. All we can do now is pray
What??
Fellow officers, please use caution when drinking. An expensive cab ride is much "cheaper" than a DUI and everything else that comes along with it.
Unfortunate and it doesn't matter what he did for a living although that will be what some people focus on.
i know what you're talking about and i hope its not what we think it is!!!
dam when will you ever learn.
What happened?
Oh come on ... he was running for a fire extinguisher!
Who was it?
Please explain....
Oh boy,not again.
No I don't
I heard that the current recruit class in the academy is slowly shrinking. They started with 54 recruits and now are down to 42 recruits. Somehow, 8 recruits were injured in the gym. At this rate, they are lucky to have 30 recruits at graduation. But this is enough as Weiss said we are at 97% staffing.
Game over.
Two families devastated forever and yet again another black eye for the rest of us.
fuck is right, the media will eat this up!
DON'T FUCKING DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE FUCKED IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!@##$%$^%^&*(@!
10-4 Hang in there CPD. Our thoughts are with you.
I sure do! I'm embarrassed and pissed off.
These are terrible times we live in!
In retrospect; a $20 cab ride is a bargain.
I thought I heard J-Fed laughing.
dumb da dumb dumb dummmmmbbbb! sucks!!!!
Actually, no, we don't. Please explain.
just thinking out loud again
ummm no i dont
What an idiot. Right at contract time.
Everyone knows the deal now so I dont feel the bit least sorry for him. Dont bother me with a benefit ticket.
I could MAYBE see if he was barely over the legal limit but id still think he was incredibly stupid...but allegedly three times?
Deserves to go to jail period.
I would say screw him but he just did that to his own family and two others.
Interesting, on the Sun Times web site they completely disabled comments about the islamic woman who killed her kid and was then photographed without her scarf, yet it's been a complete free for all of police bashing on the comments about this story.
Anyway, the whole damn thing is tragic.
the family bears no ill will toward police. "They are human beings, just like all of us," he said. "They make mistakes."
=======================
A Good Friday lesson. Under the circumstances, you could imagine the family would hate every one of us. It's good to know that we aren't always held to a higher standard.
The accident and circumstances were tragic. But the fact that the DUI driver was a cop has nothing to do with it, any more than the fact that a murder victim was a CPS student.
huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....come on guys.
I got nothing...sad, very sad. Condolences to the families involved.
wtf!
In regards to the accident with the Off-Duty P.O. .. first reports ADMIT the officer was walking away from from the scene probably because he was suffering from disillusionment from his head wounds.. HOWEVER when they found out he was a cop down here the state was told to FUCK 'EM.
YEP.... HANG ON BOYS AND GIRLS!!!
It isn't cool at all.
i don't have alot of details, but WFT??????!!!?!?!?!? but won't we ever learn????????????
I do!!!!
Enjoy the 2o plus years in prison..Drink at home guys. Dont be traveling while drunk!! God damn its a waste of 18 years and three mens lives gone
ita a pain in the ass but sometimes you gotta take your buddies keys from him no matter how much time he has on
nice class at HQ on civil litigation - in one word, protect yourself, because they (city/Dept) won't.
The Social(ist)
very, very sad and tragic. just remember, let he who is without....
and PLEASE call someone.
What???
God Bless the CPD and nobody else.
we shoot ourselves in the foot again
no, thats never good.you know what im talking about
The word that describes having yet another drunk cop ruin our reputations. Thanks to the cops who can't say when. Fuck!!!!!!
As a police officer I am heartbroken about this. As a Watch Commander I ask, "What more can we do, people!? How many times do you have to be told?"
mmmmmmmhhhhhhh.....shame....
When I heard it on the radio, my head just dropped. Call for a ride. How many times does this have to happen
OK I guess I'll ask it,"SCC, what are you talking about?"
Scratch my last comment SCC, I just read what you're talking about. You're right. FUCK!!!!!!!! Use your head people and maybe just maybe think once in a while.
FUCK!!!!!!!
What a mess!!!!
"Fuck?????"
"OH..FUCK!!!!!"
just when you think.......
actually DOUBLE FUCK!
What a shame.
Here we go again......
What are we doing to ourselves? Please brothers and sisters don't drink and drive!
Yeah, this is bad
Where's the outrage? 2 people killed. CPD Officer attempting to flee the scene??? Coppers driving drunk - it's gotta stop. This happens way too often.
YOU CAN'T. I feel bad for his family and the families of the people that were killed, sorry not him.
when will we stop doing stupid shit.
what will it take for us to learn?
You would think coppers would learn ~ DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE!!
Thanks DEFECTIVE!
There is no reason for this. Take a cab home have someone drive u. What a dumbass fucking murderer no excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get help.
No I dont, what happened?
Dumb Ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May God have mercy on him, because it's for sure the courts aren't going to if what's being reported is even partially true.
another guy who can't hold his mud or is just a regular idiot. while this is tragic for the det involved imagine how tragic it is for the family of the deceased.
what happened to calling your fellow POs working midnights and asking for a transport?
Well it was nice to see an officer from Chicago make it out to Pittsburg Funeral Service for the slain officers.
An officer Patrick McGrath drove all the way from Chicago according to interview.
http://kdka.com/video/?cid=5659
DALEY WILLL USE THIS TO EXPLAIN THE NO CONTRACT
Based on the mayor's reasoning in the Abbatte case, Jodi should be run out of town soon. Cops planting dope on thier ex-wives, the tow truck scandals, and now this! Obviously Jodi has no control of this out of control Department! Time to run him out of town!
In addition, when the retarded midget comes to FlOP with requests for concessions to plug the budget gap, offer to accept layoffs of a hundred officers - from the budgeted amount. That way we only need to hire 1900 instead of 2000. Otherwise tell him to go fuck himself.
FUCK!!!! That should have been the only question on a CPD Detective test. If you had to ask like many of you did, you are absolutely clueless.
I heard that the current recruit class in the academy is slowly shrinking. They started with 54 recruits and now are down to 42 recruits. Somehow, 8 recruits were injured in the gym. GOOD!
There hasn't been enough failing at the academy for the last 20 years.
Softballs getting injured in a damn gym class, at least reporting that they're injured. Let's hope they never get on this job.
Guys and Gals of the CPD:
The Job can easily drive you to drink.
Do your drinking at home ONLY. Discipline yourselves, please?
Do NOT drink, then drive. It's not just your life in the balance--it's the lives of your families, friends and ordinary citizens like me.
If you have a drinking problem and can't beat it alone, seek out help.
We, the people of Chicago, need every last one of you to be sharp on the JOB--and off!
Thanks, SCC, for allowing me to say my piece.
--Grammar Gal, descended from a whole family of Milwaukee WI coppers
Is the officer at least Ok?
4/10/2009 12:35:00 PM
The drunk officer who killed 2 people???? Are you serious, what about the families of the disabled vehicle that he slammed into.
Signed a PO
A .277, that is ridiculous!!
ohhhhhh mega-fuck!!!
this shit is way beyond old already...
media black-out on our march but like a previous poster said, the comment sections of the scum-times & fibune are a fucking free for all with every police hater with an opinion & an asshole has silly shit to say...
Like I said, don't panic.
BUT I will stand by my friend, I will not condem him, those of you who do, that's your right, but remember the first one of us who hasn't sinned be the one to cast the first stone.

what difference does it make now??? he'll be rooming with casper (005) for the next 10-15
three times the legal limit-sad.
2 already serving time for reckless homicide. Now it's gonna be three.
As a Watch Commander I ask, "What more can we do, people!? How many times do you have to be told?"
----------------------
If you are my watch commander, you can't tell me a damn thing because you are a fraud
Daley cronie. Lets see what happens. Maybe he can get the same lawyer as the off duty Chicago Fire Dept. chief who killed a guy who was changing his tire on the side of the expressway ramp. He received probation. Go figure!

4/10/2009 04:35:00 PM Dude, You're an idiot!!!!!
Fuck him. I stopped driving to bars, I drink in my garage or within walking distance of my home. Thank you very much Defective.

Dude, you wrote the biggest bunch of bullshit I heard in a long time, get real!
Prayers for all involved, particularly the families of those killed.
GUESS J-FED IS GOIN TO TRY AND RAM NEW RULES ABOUT DEPARTMENT MEMBERS DRINKING!!!
DONT 4 GET THERE IS A SECTION IN THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ABOUT DRUNK TESTING DURING WORK!
15 YEARS OUT IN 7...
BIDS OPEN 4 SGT AND LTS!!!
Another Bridgeport hack!
When I was young and stupid, I did this shit too. Too often. Never had an accident.
...But for the grace of God there go I...
NOW,
I have never spent more than twenty bucks on a cab including a tip.
TAKE A FRICKING CAB !!!

You are a piece of shit!!!
i am very sorry for the family of the ones that were killed, very sorry.

The state wasn't told shit!
They are doing the investigation by the book. Which is what anyone of us would want if it were our famly members that were killed by a DUI driver.
This det. FUCKED himself!
Our Lt. has consistently said at roll call. Use the blue and white taxi. No charge.

what will it take for us to learn?
If you need a drink that badly call a cab or get a pickup with a cap....sleep it off in the back. That's why God created sleeping bags.
Otherwise move to a neighborhood where you can drink and then walk home.
Two young guys are dead because of this stupidity. There is no excuse.
all the '' you guys'' people are gonna come out of the woodwork. you guys killed those people etc....society likes to paint us with a wide brush. the truth is i am responsible for my actions. the stupid shit other police do is on them.
pray.
Jesse Ventura for Mayor!

Man, you gotta try your hand at writing a screenplay.
now is not the time to throw stones brothers. lets keep him, his family, and the deceased in our prayers.
Who was he with?
That fire dept chief got lucky. The man he hit & killed's family said they were happy that this happened, the guy was an abusive person.
The officer made his own bed. I feel for the two innocent lives lost.
Its terrible that these events occur at all, but this is a time when we really needed a clean slate.
Be smart and most importantly, be safe.
