Prints in a number of different sizes are available for sale at the BuckleyTypoGraphic site and he is also setting up a CafePress site so you can order the image on an assortment of products.
In any case, we only wish we had thought of this one in time for the march. Good stuff.

OT and sorry to start off like this, but...we attended the Department Awards Ceremony on Wed, 08 Apr 09 and immediately noted a lack of representation by the Patrol Division. 32 P.O.'s, Sgts. and even 1 Capt. from the districts. Took up almost a page off the program. Then BIS had 22 Dicks and then came Gang Intelligence and the Narcotics section. They had almost 4 pages of names.
Problem Solving Awards and Joint Operation Awards took up another 4 pages. A couple of Commanders, lots of Lts. Sgts., and again Gang Intelligence and Narcotics.
Good God, even Police officer of the Month...not one from a district, all 19 came from Gang Intelligence.
Jeez, you'd think a Watch Commander or two would spare an hour from his "duck" to write up some good work.
Informational picketing should be done on the day of the next city council meeting AND on the midget's birthday.
Start time 11am and continue through at least 5pm or later.
Picket signs should include short condemnations of examples of the daley administration's most recent and egregious mismanagements of the taxpayers dollars and assets, as well as this city's administration's neglect of basic city services.
The obvious references to the disparities between how the taxpayers' dollars are spread generously to those city employees, elected, appointed, contracted or hired, who do the least, and miserly to those who do the most work that actually benefits those taxpayers should be succinctly worded.
Remember, the average city resident has been well conditioned to be an apathetic, docile and mindless drone, so, getting through their thick skulls will take both time and consistent effort.
And don't look for the local media to do much more than what they usually do, ie., minimize everything negative concerning the daley administration's hijinks and avoid reporting said negatives whenever they can get away with it.
The daley cabal will not go quietly into that dark night, but, they cannot survive being subjected to the same forces that they regularly apply to those opposed to their chicanery, if those forces are consistently, repeatedly and relentlessly imposed upon them.
Remember, also, that the daley cabal includes every last cook county and state elected official, whom, unless proven otherwise, are intimate 'bedfellows' to all of the dale regime's scams and schemes.
Time to make the donuts.
Blue Party Ticket.

Can't blame this one on the W.C. blame it on the awards committee for not notifying the recipients. Talked to a lot of guys on the list and they weren't even aware of the ceremony.
I still want one of the signs with the five linked handcuffs. Where can you get one of those?

Hey numbnuts: Its was for Investigative Services (D-unit; OCD; etc. a couple from patrol but involved in D-unit investigations. Did you fall asleep? even St. Paul & Evanston were their on INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES INVESTIGATIONS.

Thank you for your comments. Yes, I noticed, they were a part of the JOINT OPERATIONS AWARDS. I got one.
I was referring to Department Commendations. Highly slanted towards OCD. And Police Officer of the Month. All GIU.
It just throws a light on how little District folks get appreciated.
If the City can't afford the Olympics then we should not have the olympics.
Some of you remember that when Chicago could not afford the worlds fair Harold Washington canceled it!!!!!
If you can not aford to pay the police or fix the city streets then you can not afford the Olympics. Walsh Construction will do just fine without building the Olympics
Remember, the stress of the job gave Harold the big one.
Hey OT, geeze if you think this lands at the feet of the W/C you need some schooling. Look at the merit lists, look at the Sergeant list going to executive training, look at any other list of promotions & or training-------notice something-------YEAH a slim few from Patrol! But go ahead blame it on the W/C.. With DOOFUS'S like you no wonder patrol isn't represented! Almost every award sent up the chain of command from the watch is sent back honorable mention.

A lot of district people watch movies and just respond to OEMC calls all night doing absolutely the minimul just like WE ALL BEEF ABOUT on here so.........
Why would you expect them to get awards for coding out jobs?
Tact and Gang teams are not really that "ELITE" in the eyes of the department you know! They never have been!
You actually have to earn something and BE written up for something and I am not talking about "Joint Operations or Problem Solving bullshit awards....."
If you are doing "work" and not getting the proper accolades then TIME TO MOVE ON!!! YOU HAVE SHIT BOSSES!!!!
Wake up.........
As a SGT. I had team guys come to me wanting Honorables for just doing a search warrant and getting a gram or two of powder or rock??
I would have been embarrased to bring that to my supervisor in the past!
Some guys wanted a Lifesaving award for something they figured was worthy and tried to give me the Hospitalization report and as I read it.....It made NO MENTION of any heroic deed!
Now how am I supposed to attach this to the write up and get it by the Commander?
In other words people you actually have to get soemthing good I feel to get an honorable.
For a Dept. Commendation I would think common sense here, that it was the furtherance of the efforts you or the group had made to get the "quality pinch or recovery".
Hell I'll write most anything and I'd even help you out but somethings need to make sense to the Commander and Dep. Chief for them to concur!
Careful out there trying too hard to get these things "Awards"! Acitivty is great but USE YOUR HEAD!
Sgt.
my internal poll with all friends, family, neighbors and co-workers is up to 293 people and 291 voted No to the olympics. hmmm - daley caught lying again. Yep!
