Not that FOX had anything to do with Pam Zekman, but they still aren't entitled to block fire hydrants:
Keep sending them. We'll keep publishing them. Pictures of tickets hanging on the vehicles are good, too. Daley wants revenue. Daley gets revenue. Everyone is happy.

O K ! Media trucks and vans park illegally. So write 'em or don't write 'em. But let's not overdo it.
Now move along. There's nothing here to see.
its not in a fire hydrant spot... its in a bus stop zone... when you blow up the picture you can see the bus stop no parking sign right at the end of the van.
Come on, don't pick on FOXNEWS!! It's the only conservative news network out there!!
I heard an interesting rumor the other day. It seems that a district wanted to help the mayor out with the lack of tickets. So this district started to write tickets and write tickets until the district commander asked them not to write anymore tickets! It seems that the tickets written were for violations to business delivery vehicles. Apparently there is some sub-section, that we were unaware of, in the IVC and city code that allows the beer trucks to drive on the wrong side of the street to make a delivery! But not only the beer trucks but the Times and Trib trucks to do the same along with going through red lights! Well this all came to a halt when UPS started to receive tickets too! I don’t really understand if the mayor wants tickets for the revenue why not write these guys? Or does he just want the little guy and soccer-mom to get the tickets since they don’t contribute ‘big time’ to his war chest? I really believe that if we all get together and start enforcing the vehicle codes on these abusers [and friends of the mayor] maybe he will pay attention to us. Since he needs money for our contract we will supply him the source until the contract is settled.
Do you think if you TVB the beer truck driver or UPS driver his load will still be there after he bonds out at the station?
Don't forget to write movers on the Scum-Times trucks too!
WTF, you get a pretty good package deal from Da Midget when you go easy on him and look the other way...
Da Media has clout... can't blame them, at least were not Valet Parking for them.
Confusion say
Who cares what the media reports and where they park? They do it anyways regardles if we like them or not. Worry about the jag offs living in your neighborhood.
ZECKMAN is a troll
Scc. What is your email address to send pics to?
TAG EM-SEMPER FI
I/F you name me the IVC or City Ordinance that allows any delivery truck to drive on the wrong side of the street or park illegally to make their deliveries.
I've written Waste Management Trucks for blocking the street and Frito Lay truck for parking in handicap parking in a Walgreen's parking lot. We are always worried about ticketing the working man but they all talk shit about the police when a negative story makes the news. I say fuck em all and write them tickets until this attack on us is stopped. Heck I know of a copper who wrote city work crews vehicles while eating lunch and parking illegal.
Again I/F cite me the IVC or Municipal Code that allows this.
Oh I/F forgot to tell you I even wrote Alderman Ed Smith a parking ticket for violations of signs. He dropped the do you know who I am and when I said no he demanded my supervisor. My old school sgt. with balls said the ticket stands and there is nothing he can do. The ghetto alderman became infuriated and demanded our star numbers and immediately got on his cell phone. Long story short I/F not a fucking thing happened to either one of us.
Wall paper them!!

That is a good point.
Do they have to pay the tickets? I thought they were non suited anyway?
This is a BUS STOP, and there is a vehicle ahead of it. Maybe it is the reporter's personal car.
Now you can also see that he microwave link mast is raised on the van. So it is almost certainly occupied and they are broadcasting "live from the scene".
The great trick would be to watch FOX NEWS, or whatever, and have an E&R tow truck waiting just out of sight. When the reporter starts his/her piece, have the truck pull up to hook up and watch the fun, "live from the scene".
Somebody should circulate a list of target vehicles, people who need to be taught a lesson in respect and if you mistreat the police, no breaks.
i thought Chcago cops were forbidden to carry personally owned cell phones and cameras while on duty.
yeah seriously, leave FOX news alone.
Great picture now someone get the balls to write a ticket. Typical a lot of talk and no one will do a thing but take a picture.
"Do you think if you TVB the beer truck driver or UPS driver his load will still be there after he bonds out at the station?"
Yes.
I/F:
There is no sub-section to Double Standing/Parking, Wrong way, Or Obstructing Traffic that exempts ANY Delivery Vehicle.
I hit them all the time in the Viagra Triangle.

I like the tvb idea, and if the load is gone ala "Tony Soprano" style oh well "berr for my horses"!
Hey I/F
Writing beer truck and UPS drivers is a pretty stupid thing. It would get alot aof attention but would also piss alot of peole off. Thes drivers have unions that are hopefully on our side. A short blitz may open some eye but may cause huge problems.
This one needs to be thought out carefully. For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction. It's just science.
Ticket slowdowns just means don't let the police write tickets. Lets give the power to civilians or better yet camera.
I'm just sayin

..................yes fox cable conservative , but fox affiliate channel 32 just another shameless police basher/w exception of Pat Elwood who has police friends outside of work.
Dickhead Daley crying poor to the media at noon today. He wants sacrifices from the unions, in his words. Here's my words. GO FUCK YOURSELF, TROLL. I AM CHECKING THE MONEY BOX EVERY CHANCE I GET. IF YOU CAN'T RUN A CITY ON A BUDGET, THEN YOU SHOULD PULL CHICAGO OUT OF THE RUNNING FOR THE OLYMPICS. TIME FOR A RECALL.
As a citizen, I would hope rank-and-file CPD would NOT give a pass to FOX news for repeated illegal parkings.
In doing so, itt would be showing the same type of targeted favortism the rat bastard democrats are so well known for.
If we want people to be responsible, we must expect them to be accountable for there behavior.
I am confident FOX would understand this and they probably would happily write parking tickets off as a cost of doing business.
Lord knows FOX must be a cash cow of a network the way there ratings kick the snot out of the rest.
JMHO
Buck Naked
If you're going to write tickets remember, no more X's only fill in the dots.
write them all
OT regarding Plegher flying the flag upside down, he is showing his contempt and disrespect for every veteran and law enforcement officer in this country. If he wants less guns on the street, demonstrate at the gun courts where the leberal judges slap hands and say "don't do it again" and hand out probation like it is some kind of fix everything candy. Get the judges to enforce the guns laws already on the books and congratulate the police who make the gun arrests. Also, if shortshanks is looking for anymore money from the feds, they should tell him that because he has ignored the federal laws regarding illegals in his "santuary city", there will be no more money forthcoming from the federal government.
Retired and so glad about!
Hey how about an investigative report on how many of these citations get non-suited courtesy of City hall and da Mare that runs it!!
that's great give the working man
a ticket go write the no city stickers , cars parked illegal at the schools and churches , fire plug
Im up to 7 parking citations issued to the Major News Media vehicles. As of todays 7MAY, There has been any word from my supervisor or exepmt to not cite certain vehicles.
In the 001st and 018th Districts Ive seen TMA's, Meter Maids, Dept of Revenue, Street n Sans Supervisors, CTA Supervisors and Tow Truck Drivers all writitng Parkers.
I'm looking for someone to substanciate that UPS, FedEx and other delivery companies give a flat donation to the city and in return have Parking Tickets non-suited at the Revenue level.
By increasing the Parking Enforcement city-wide wouldnt that "drive" people out of the city?
Hence, persons who may be coming into the city to spend money are being discouraged to do so. What are the long-term repercussions?? Of course, less money being spent in the City means less TAX REVENUE.
SEE THE TICKET ON THE WINDOW. NICE! LOL
After Pam's shit mockumentary aired, news guys all over the city were probably thinking ahhhhh fuck!
Slam those motherfuckers!
Look closely..you can see the officers eyeglasses, his nose, and I can almost read his nametag! Next time have your partner lean a little bit closer so you aren't in the photo! LOL
5/07/2009 12:38:00 AM
Is that you 921 3rd Watch?
Boy, daley's guys are really desperate.
They've got everybody they can think of writing parkers and they still need to jump on any reason to try and get the blue shirts to write parkers.
i think it would not make one bit of difference if you write the trucks, the stinger would be when you write the reporters themselves. the truck drivers are just hard workin stiffs like you and i, so writing them serves no purpose. handin out movers and parkers and finding out what bar these chmps hang out in and layin in the weeds to d.u.i. them would work more affectively.
i thought Chcago cops were forbidden to carry personally owned cell phones and cameras while on duty.

No sorry Charlie. We can carry them and take pictures and videos of you just like you do to us. Great evidence in court too. Try saying you weren't parked there now.
i thought Chcago cops were forbidden to carry personally owned cell phones and cameras while on duty.
5/07/2009 09:04:00 AM
This is going to be a big shocker for a ego-maniac such as yourself, but your wrong. Why in the fuck would you think you know the rules about being a Chicago Police Officer? The only rules you know about are the rules at the blow job factory. So when somebody needs to know about giving blow jobs, then you should speak.
i think it would not make one bit of difference if you write the trucks, the stinger would be when you write the reporters themselves. the truck drivers are just hard workin stiffs like you and i, so writing them serves no purpose. handin out movers and parkers and finding out what bar these chmps hang out in and layin in the weeds to d.u.i. them would work more affectively.

It does serve a purpose. The station pays them. From what I'm reading they aren't doing so hot financially so hit em hard.

Tell that to the bosses who constantly call them on it because they can't reach them on air. Cell phones are a lifeline for the officers when their batteries on the radios go dead. Is this your biggest concern? You must be such an asset to those around you.

There you go thinking....
Hey Bud this F U is for you!
Mike Barz from the fox good day chicago show is a good guy... If not conservative then very middle of the road and a truly fair reporter! Always making comments about bagngers under his breath and their nonsense interviews... I like him... he is a dieing breed in this city! Im not saying Fox local doesnt deserve to be hammered but Barz is a sloid reporter... very pro police!
So I suppose you'll also publish photos of police cars parked at bus stops, expired meters and the like?
And really, if you could hear (read) yourselves like others can, you would understand why you have some image problems with the general law-abiding public.

The only problem the police have with the 'general law-abiding' public is with the many idiots who've yet to experience being a victim of a crime, a real crime, not just being 'disturbed' by the mickey mouse bullshit the members of the 'general law-abiding' public whom you are referring to are always whining about.
In fact, if you're under the age of 50, you've likely never known anything close to what the police see and deal with every motherfucking day.
There are three types of citizens who hold the police in contempt:
1. Those whose daily ambitions are to take from those who have; ie., robbers, muggers, rapists, burglars, etc.
2. Those whose business is currently unlawful, ie. drug dealers, fences, loan sharks, pimps, etc.
3. Those whose knowledge of the world is pathetically bereft of substance gained from experience, ie. you.
When the '...general law-abiding public." are confronted with the grim realities of life, who do they call to assist them?
You?

............................................. No asshalt we take pictures of medias illegal parking because they show our illegal parking. If they did feature reporting about their own illegal parking or other illegal activities we would not have to. But the media has a "code of silence" that they don’t report about each other’s dirty laundry so we must.
GET IT DORK!
The media did not report on police cars parking illegally to get a job done. They reported on cars parking illegally to attend a Cubs game.
Who warrants that special treatment? Should it also be extended to doctors and nurses that save lives? To people who stock grocery shelves so that you might eat? To construction workers who build homes to provide you shelter?
When the '...general law-abiding public." are confronted with the grim realities of life, who do they call to assist them?
5/11/2009 01:35:00 AM
If you're talking about crime, I would call the police. Isn't that that your job? Isn't that the difficult job you chose? If you're talking about cancer, I'd call a doctor. I imagine you would too.
I, and people who have professions different that yours, have "knowledge of the world" gained from experience different, but no less worthy, than your's. Which was my point of "if you could hear yourselves as others can."
And real crime? I'm guessing you don't put parking violations in the category of "real," and that's what you all are "whining" about here.
But the media has a "code of silence" that they don’t report about each other’s dirty laundry so we must.

I just don't see the hypocrisy. The media reports on illegal parking to attend a Cubs game. The media does not report on illegal parking of police cars while on the job. The media does not report on illegal parking of media vans while on the job.

5/12/2009 01:22:00 AM
..............I said that code of silence about the medial to be flippant. Because that’s what pop culture and the media always thinks about the police. No there is no code of silence otherwise police would never be held accountable and we are. We are the most scrutinized public servants around bit nothing I say will ever convince you otherwise. You chose to believe pop cultures interpretation of what police are not what the reality of the job is.

No short memory; I didn't see that one, but I do remember a piece on users of fake handicap placards.
Back to the present, CTA vehicles are the current target. You're NOT being singled out.
