One Last Drain on Society
- The family of a 15-year-old boy whose body was found burned, beaten and shot in a South Side gangway last week has set up an account at Park National Bank, 3501 E. 106th St. in Chicago, to accept donations to help cover costs for the teen's funeral.
So the family, which couldn't (or wouldn't) be bothered to send him to school for 8 months, couldn't (or wouldn't) manage to control his behavior and let him wander 11 miles from home into a war zone, couldn't (or wouldn't) pay attention to what he did on the computer to advertise his gang affiliation, now wants the public (who would have suffered from their criminal neglect at the hands of a fully mutated gangster) to bury their error.
And they use what is evidently the only non gang banging picture they own of the deceased, and not the other one that we were directed to and saved, posted half-a-dozen or so posts below this one. These people left their son and nephew to be raised on the streets and now they want the streets to pay to bury him? Sorry, but no.

O.T. Regarding the "Social Security Fariness Act:" Rostenkowski's political career ended in 1994 after a two year investigation by the Justice Department. When a certain segment of people in our society are LITERALLY HANDED things free of charge in Government Program after Program, they feel entitled to receive it ALWAYS. Often, it removes their will to succeed, as they do not always learn the value of a dollar or a good days work!

Actually almost all of their promotions are merit and really merit, rarely just by clout. The nice lady cashier I talked to the other day at the Target store can barely afford her little $750-a-month apartment even with her daughter helping with the utilities -- while the corner boys and porch-hangers wear gold, and clothes so new that they just about glow in the dark.
The "no visible means of support" type always seems to be able to swing the purchase of a nice old bungalow on a formerly quiet street -- and has more money to put up a really ugly wrought-iron fence around it and then screw five or six mailboxes to the fence, all with different names.
They've got money to pave both the front and back yards and turn them into parking for their many personal vehicles --luxury SUVs and Hummers and custom pickups. Then the garage is turned into an auto repair shop, with a radio blaring, work lights blazing and air tools roaring day and night -- and of course they need numerous dogs that bark continuously to guard the whole thing.
All the crap from the repair work -- tires and batteries and fenders and doors -- is shoved out into the alley for the city to pick up, mixed into a horrible, reeking salad with dirty diapers and smashed baby carriages and ridiculous women's platform shoes and empty #10 cans of pozole, along with the obligatory 20 cases of Corona bottles. Some areas in 025 get TWO trash pickups a week to try to keep the rats down, and it still isn't enough.
As if the mailboxes and the double-triple parking weren't enough of a tipoff, how many God-damned people can possibly be jammed into a house that buys "Suavecito" fabric softener -- the label says to use two ounces per load -- in FIVE-GALLON BUCKETS?
We'll never know for sure -- when that census taker comes around, the place'll magically go dark and silent.
I dunno. The phrase "tipping point" comes to mind...
