J-Fed Knows We're Outgunned
The linked article is actually about how Daley isn't hiding anything from the unions - aside from billions in TIF money. But J-Fed makes an appearance toward the end of the article. He comes up with an interesting statistic. But he just doesn't care:
The superintendent said police have also taken 400 more guns off the street than they did in the same period last year.
“What concerns me though is we’re taking more than one assault rifle a day off the street,” he said. “It’s a clear message as to what our men and women are facing every day."
So he knows these guns are out there. He knows we're getting more than one a day off the street. Yet he throws up all sorts of road blocks to us actually being able to counter these weapons should we run across them in a street stop, a school shootings or a domestic. Way to have our backs!

Everyone should know by now that Shields is too young to draw a pension as of yet. I don't fault anybody in his shoes for taking a LOA from what has definitely become a shit job on a poorly managed Dept. today and going somewhere else. And his promotions occurred long before BO was running for Prez. I doubt the BO got involved in any discussions about hiring Shields for the new job anyway. If anything, you've gotta wonder why Shortshanks would have allowed the demotion to occur right after BO's election. Weis seems to have a serious problem in promoting and maintaining any serious numbers of African American exempts, and it seems to be a problem that is largely ignored by many in the Dept. along with the media.

I don't know what the heck you're talking about, Clinder Binder promoted Shields first. Mikey is not 50 years of age yet, correct. But the thing to watch here is how long will they allow stupishields to be on a Leave of Absence? Will the rules be the same for him as the rest of us?
Two face Clinder-1505-Spender pretended to change the policy of allowing officers to be on Leaves forever...except for his friends. Will Jag Fag make an exception to Clinette's "new" rule. The real question is - who will be watching what they do with Shields from this day forward?
OT: If anyone went to Springfield for the Police Memorial Services they would have seen our Superintendent NOT standing with his officers, even though (3) were added to the list this year. J-Fed was on the stage with Pat Quinn and Jesse White while they gave speeches..J-Fed never gave a speech, and no other police Honcho was sitting up there.

Unfortunately, the undeserved high rankers of all agencies usually do stand with each other during publicity functions they have no life experience nor knowledge of. Furthermore, each of them want to take over the podium and not allow the other to speak. Sadly when that happens, they insult each other behind each others back, but they all shake hands in front of the camera and blow sunshine up each others butt. That's why its called Politics.
With that being said, Jody - supposed Mr. Experienced - should have politely declined to stand on the podium and should have insisted on standing with his officers, because if he had police experience - especially in the State of Illinois - he would have known that he was about to be insulted on stage by these two other criminal buffoons - who knew it was too easy because they know Weis is hated by his unit and and that he is too gullible to realize it.
So thank you again Superintendedstupid, you only made the other two buffoons look smarter than my unused abacus. And you, once again, proved your loyality to yourself.
(OT)-SCC love this sight. Much like Northside, try to write posts that make sense and get to the heart of the matter. No ripping on cops, no ripping on outside units and simply trying to defend the honor of our department. Recently someone posted under my name a comment about how great lilly crump-hales is. This comment drew some pretty angry responses. I was called a liberal and someone who should be banned from this blog. The sad part is, when I write something about honor and dignity, the responses are fewer. I now see the problem with this department. When you write something with some heart and thought behind it, a COWARD jumps on the blog and makes something up because they are so insecure they have to mock you. Yes you are 100% right on this one SSC. I would love to take the carbine course but because of the wear and tear on my knees after 18 yrs on this job I just can't make the run on the power test in time. I am 48 yrs old and no I am not a fat ass. I can run the 1.5 miles but not in the required time. I broke my leg in 2 places IOD, messed up my petella tendon really bad IOD, and had to have my left knee drained 3 times because of this. But if I was a desk jockey or a do nothing I would be able to pass it . Go figure, Are you listening J-Fed. The working cop is the sucker in your Department.

I'm a suburban cop and was there. J-Fed sat on his ass during the rifle salute and while TAPS was played. Everyone else is standing at attention saluting and J-Fed is sitting with his thumb up his ass. Now in all fairness, there was an Elmhurst detective and a Chief of Police from some department downstate somewhere that were also sitting during the rifle salut and TAPS. All three should have known better. Event if they didn't, they should have gotten a clue just from looking around at everyone else including the class of CPD recruits that were there. Gov Quinn and Jesse White were at least standing.

Ronnie Lubberman has been on LOA for almost 10 years. His name appears on the list of those who are granted LOA once a year.
It's real simple. Possession of a weapon = (potential) power. That's why people like the stuttering midget don't want those they rule to have them, they want it ALL, while leaving the illusion that the ruled have any. It's also why he doesn't want YOU to have M4's on the job, as well as the "image" it would present...because you just know that half of CPD would be pulling them out of the trunk all the time for calls where there was no reason to believe they were needed, and pics of this would be in the (midget influenced) media, and he thinks it'd make him look bad.....like he needs help with that.....
Also, the criminal element would make the targeting of squad cars to steal guns a priority.....go ask the ATF how many AR's and SMG's have been stolen from LEO, it's a LOT.....
My partner and I were told by our W/C to go to one of our local CPS factories...er..high schools and inquire about a dance. Not surprising, none of the "students" knew what we were talking about. Whatever. We started walking the school. Being ex-tac guys we started thinking "tactically". We envisioned an active shooter senario at this school. Goooood Luck! hundreds of rooms and hall ways a city block long! If all you got is your 8 round .45 you are going to be in trouble. Jody should drop the power test for the rifles.

more guns is not the answer, the dept. already has 12 guages that are seldom, if ever taken out. The Dept. has Carbines, =same thing. We are always in a defensive position, we are not offensive troops, we must always be cogniscent of civilians and can't just go blasting away like gang-bangers. More tactical training, more shooting with live, moving scenarios, like other agencies have used for over 30YEARS NOW, and up to date refresher training is necessary. The Daley Administration does not want to spend the money on updated, modern firearms training, so whats the sense of having a million M-4's and such? don't you get it, Shortshanks does not CARE. So, be safe, call for assists/backup at the slightest hint of being outnumbered, outgunned, or danger of any sort, and wait it out if possible. Because the St Jude march has shrunk in significance ever since Daley had it stuck in a corner of the Lakefront out of the public eye.
The sight of 5,000 officers stretching down Michigan Ave on a glorious Sunday in May got everyone's attention and the news media covered it. It was news worthy. As it is, the St Jude march is now an internal police event, no longer worthy of coverage by the news media.
In my opinion, moving the march to the lakefront was one of the larger fuck jobs given to the police by Mayor Richard M. Daley. May he die in the gutter. And soon.

Thats what I'm talking about. I know officers who took a LOA and after one year they were forced to resign or come back. This was done by Cline only two and three years ago. Cline always thought Huberhead was the greatest, obviously so much that he looked the other way for the useless political hack. Ticks me off.

Area Mission Teams have always been rewards for alderman. They each get a few "favors" to dole out to coppers who are either related to them or donating political contributions to them. It was worth it at one time because of the huge amts of OT that one would amass during the course of the mission but due to current overwatch of OT, only a true sucker or novice PO would be fooled by the ruse of this being a good deal anymore. I am 58 and have to do the run in the same time as a 21 year old female! I have been shooting the AR15 type rifle for many years but never for this department and it seems I never will. From what I have seen of JFed the M4 is something I do NOT want to carry and defend my use of. I don't trust that man for a second. Same as Daley, untrustworthy, a back stabber of the first order.
How the hell does anyone with 2 years on get on a search warrant team? Super elite or not. What is elite? The phone call??? What boss made a phone call for his kid? Secondly, how the hell can you tell ANY war stories when you have only two years on? WTF is that? And why the fuck is a search warrant team going after 5 bags of rock?
