Asked why not, Daley said he is "leading by example" in Chicago.

Chicago had 72 hours to deliver a ransom in a dead drop with instructions to follow. Otherwise, they would videotape the beheading of our mayor and send it to al Jazeera. They demanded two hundred dollars ($200) in non sequential, dirty, wrinkled one dollar bills.
After much soul searching, it was decided that we would not cave to the terrorists' demands.
Budget constraints.

Daley is either clinically insane or he really believes the public will continue to swallow his bullshit. On top of it all, the mainstream media handles him with kids gloves.
Ace reporter Phil Schitz works the streets and says there's a lot of angry citizens out there; and the number is growing at an alarming rate each month (roughly one-half million Americans are losing their jobs each month). Daley and other corrupt politicians in this country are going to have to deal with the upcoming civil unrest-they will not be able to handle it. You law enforcement officers be safe.

As much of a criminal as our mayor is, wouldn't you think that there must be a security camera or surveillance tape SOMEWHERE that has the goods on him the way the videos popped up on Abbate or the Jefferson Tap ? ? ?
Some old forgotten footage of him doing a dope deal with the former Crack buying Mayor of Washington DC, Marion Berry ?...
Or maybe a cell phone cam shot of him doin' a bong with Olympic Champ Michael Phelps thinking that would help him land the 2016 Olympics? ...

I alarmed to see,that there is no armed security guards patrolling the pier. Used to have off duty CPD.

Why doesn't Mayor Daley protect property tax payer's by removing all of the City's TIF zones. They do make taxes go up, since, they freeze property tax levels. The City secretly deposits money into an off-books account the mayor controls with little public scrutiny. Despite what every poltican says, TIF's do make taxes go up, as all the other tax bodies fight over a small piece of the tax pie. Cook County has 254 TIF, eveyone makes property tax percetages higher for the special tax districts. The rates are not froze like poltcians keep saying on television.

I'd like to see the old dogs in the City council follow him: Stone, Mell, Allen, Levar, Doherty, Laurino, Banks, O'Connor come to mind immediately. The northwest side aldermen need an overhaul and house cleaning. Get their lazy do nothing relatives and cronies out of the City infrastructure.

Dear Officer: I suggest that you read the order on hate crimes. The hate crime statute is used to elevate what would ordinarily be a misdemeanor to a felony when said misdemeanor is perpetrated based on race or other factors. Crimes that are already a felony do not need to be charged as a hate crime for the simple fact that they are already a FELONY. I am sure that our great judges in the county of Cook will take race or other factors, if they exist, into consideration during sentencing.

Maybe the citizens, led by certain individuals willing to lead the charge, could establish a reward fund; a fund to help promote honest government in the city.
A fund that would pay a reward for information leading to the indictment, trial, conviction and incarceration of the chief executive of the City of Chicago for presiding over massive systemic corruption and multiple crimes against the citizens and employees of the City of Chicago.
Anyone could contribute to this fund. It would just grow and grow and perhaps if it got large enough some tongues might start wagging.
Think of how many of Daley's cohorts are sitting in prison right now and what they must know and how good would about a half million or more bucks might feel to one of them about now.
Just wishful thinking, you know.

The hate crime statute is used to elevate what would ordinarily be a misdemeanor to a felony when said misdemeanor is perpetrated based on race or other factors. Crimes that are already a felony do not need to be charged as a hate crime for the simple fact that they are already a FELONY. I am sure that our great judges in the county of Cook will take race or other factors, if they exist, into consideration during sentencing.

I heard this morning there will soon be a new state tax on soda and "flavored beverages."
I retire soon and it will be to an area close to the Illinois border. In Illinois to stay IL Income Tax exempt and close to the border to go shopping elsewhere.
It goes without saying that my retirement will be spent OUTSIDE of County of Cook, City of Chicago.
Shortshanks and the Toddler want to tax bowel movements by weight.
