Levine Works Judge Story

And admits to 025 officers that he found the story on the blog:
  • A showdown between the cops and the courts over setting violent criminals free, before and after they've been convicted. CBS 2 Chief correspondent Jay Levine chased one lead -- and ended up uncovering a much larger controversy.

It was a tip that seemed almost unbelievable -- and took us all day to confirm. Because in Chicago, police and prosecutors are afraid to criticize judges they'll have to face again.

In the end, several beat cops quietly filled us in, and authorities confirmed the facts we brought them: 18-year-old Chandra Crittenden is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault on a police officer.

She was arrested following a police chase on the West Side. When officers caught up with her, according to this report we've obtained, she allegedly pointed a loaded .380-caliber handgun at one of them. He pushed her to the fence and the gun fell to the ground.
The editors at CBS asked us via e-mail to find them cops willing to talk on camera. We got a bit short with them and told them they ought to be doing the job they've been neglecting for 20 years concerning Daley, Cook County and the endemic corruption within.

We can't help but wonder if the recent spate of stories pointing out a bit of Daley-led corruption are kind of "feeler" stories the media is doing to see what kind of market there is for anti-Daley and anti-Machine material. Jackie Heard has got to be sweating if she isn't the media's only conduit for info anymore. That might be a way to save $180,000 in the near future.

It's about time the media starts taking notice that our CEO (Da Mayo) has made a mess of things in Chicago, Cook Co and all of Illinois. He must take heat for the current budget crisis also. He should not get a break for all of his wasteful spending, knee jerk reaction deals and family kick backs for the last 20 years. Chicago employees and the Citizens of Chicago deserve more accountability from Da Mayo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever people on the beat bitch and moan that so and so never does any time, I encourage them to attend their local felony branch court for probable cause. I tell them watch how 90% of the cases will be dismissed for bullshit reasons, and if they want things to change write the attorneys and judges that throw every case out and demand to know why. Its funny now that the asa's take you to the back and ask you all these questions for a rock when you know as soon as your testimony is done and before the defense attorney says a word, the judge will end it with a "no probable cause".

OK, media. We'll spoon feed this one to you. Go check (or have one of your more competent interns check) court records. What you'll find is that the gun laws, which are the toughest in the nation, are not being used to put criminals away in Cook county. Check our stats against the stats of other counties in the state. And it's not just violent crimes.

Why do criminals here get away with supervision or probation for crimes which would get them prison time elsewhere? And don't buy into that overcrowding crap. Build more jails if you have to. The reason that idiots get away with crimes here is that the ASA's office won't touch a lot of the cases and judges slap them on the wrist when they do get to court.

I've had the benefit of working in Cook county and counties outside of "Crook" county, and I can tell you that criminals don't get away with this crap outside of Cook. Perhaps that is why crime is lower in those other counties. Laws are enforced and there's no feeling of being able to get away with criminal behavior.

The people of this city (your customers) pay the price when these thugs feel that they can, quite literally, get away with murder in this city. Selling dope, carrying guns...it's "all good" in this city because our ASA and judges let them get away with it.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but a judge story was on the news yesterday. It seems that a Judge McGinnis (?) was involved in a DUI auto accident awhile back in which the Judge rammed into a van with a mother and 3 kids in it. There were no repoprted injuries but McGinnis caught a DUI. She was found guilty and fined $1000 along with other sanctions. Now the part I don't get. Her case was referred to the the discipline board for judges and she was given "a reprimand". End of story. No other action against her.
My question is, would a police officer face the same type of judgement from his/her department and receive a reprimand? How about 30 and pending. In recent times we have heard and saw the phrase " police officers are held to a higher standard" shouldn't a judge face the same higher standards rule? At the end of the news story it said that a review of actions againsts judges wih DUIs showed that the average punishiment was a reprimand. HUH? Questions, I only have questions!

She needs a new photo with her in her graduation gown and mortarboard hat. This way, for all her future criminal endeavors, the family will have a photo to provide to the media when they say she was an Honor Student and she wanted to be an Astronaut, Lawyer, Golf Pro, etc.

This post/news story proves what we have suspected all along, the media and other non-police go trolling on this website for dirt. You are morally responsible for what you print even if you choose to remain anonymous. There are many comments that make this site worthwhile, along with allowing a place to vent. Don't print hearsay or petty bullshit, you could make someone's life turn shitty real quick without having deserved it. CBS did the bare minimum of homework on this "investigation" and still couldn't help themselves from finding some asshole to quote from the west side to give it a little anti-police twist. Don't help the media! Not for any reason! They are not your friend they are your enemy! Monday morning WGN played the Abatte video immediately after reporting the Valadez shooting! They have no respect for us! They have no respect for anyone! Journalism is dead, sensationalism is alive. Ignore them at the wake and the funeral, our thoughts and prayers for our fallen officer are not for them to sell advertising time. Starve them, don't tell them about your heroics, don't answer their allegations, act as if they don't exist. Think about who has had a role in the destruction of this department, JFed, Daley, Loevy and Loevy but most of all the media. The media poisons the public against us every chance they get, and this might be the most dangerous subversion of all. Francis, Taylor, Airhart and now Valadez in the 16 months since this witch hunt began. How many were murdered on-duty during the Cline years? Zero. We weren't under attack by the media in those years and the bad guys weren't so bold. Wake up people.

HEY, JAY! I cannot believe that you have been working this town and only now see what is going on in the court system.

There are scores and scores of violent offenders with gun charges who are released on idiotic and ridiculously low bail bonds.

These criminals do not think to themselves that they need to adhere to the requirements of their bond. NO! They go back to doing what they know, being criminals.

Judges, and I'll throw in the SA's office, too, do not apply the law fairly, without prejudice and balanced. Judges particularly have nearly unlimited power with what they can do AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THEIR PREJUDICIAL OR INANE JUDGEMENTS.

If a cop were to make decisions like a number of these judges he would be raked over the coals.

In the end, these decisions don't the affect the judges they affect the citizens when these criminals are too easily released. And when they are back at their crimes can you or another citizen defend yourselves against becoming the latest victim?

AS for the police, you don't have to worry about us being unbalanced or unfair, because we have just about given up. If this is what society wants, so be it.

No one disputes that. However, there is a public safety issue here.
The honor student in question was arrested and charged as an armed offender, that threatened the life of a police officer.

If she will do this, what will she do to the average citizen? With the amount of violence in this city it's time the judiciary errs on the side of caution. Once the trigger is pulled there is no bring that bullet back.

Personally, I would be the last to complain if the MSM "stole" a story idea from the SCC blog site.

Make no mistake. Aside from all local newspapers, local TV news affiliates as well as CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX national HQ read this site as does the U.S. Department of Justice.

What I find frustratingly outrageous is that the media has a "sacred cow" in that they refuse to touch the obvious: CORRUPT CLOUT in CPD PROMOTIONS and ASSIGNMENTS. They could easily ride herd on the evil Daley to bring meaningful reform to the whole process.

I submit that there is no single more destructive influence on the CPD that is as demoralizing as the corrupt cancer of "da Chicago Way" politics versus excellence, integrity, honor and the most exemplary ideals of what could be the finest big-city police department in the nation.

Remedies could be quite simple yet the media silence is deafening?

WHY?

Hey Jay heres a story. Everyday throughout Chicago branch courts legitimate drug cases that are good arrests get thrown out. Why you ask? Because there is an unwritten rule that if its less than a couple bags of heroin or cocaine then its ok to have. The Judge finds no probable cause and the offenders are set free. This results in on a busy day at least a hundred people that should be tried for their crime, being set free. For no other reason other than in Cook County it is legal to possess small amounts of Cocaine and heroin. Go to a narcotics court and see for yourself.

Really? Reasonable bond is supposed to take into consideration the totallity of the circumstances. Not a persons socio-economic status. If a person commits a violent crime and has the propensity to commit another violent act then the bond should be high enough to keep that person in custody in order to protect society from further harm. I agree in that, for minor crimes bond should be reasonable and minimal. For a first time, non violent offender a low bond would be reasonable. The probability of the offender committing the crime again is low and there is little chance of harm coming to society. But when you have a gun wielding, violent criminal that is brazen enough to point a weapon at an armed individual, that person is not in their right mind, or they have a great propensity for violence. Therefore, that person's bond should be set in proportion to their crime, and it should be high. As for reasonable bonds being the foundation of a democratic society, pish. The foundation of a democratic society is the right of the individual to decide who is going to govern them. The only way we are going to change the system and society as a whole is to get out and vote when the opportunity arises. You don't like Daley, vote him out, you don't like a particular judge, vote him or her out. We must take back our country and do it fast, because these the liberals are chipping away at our freedoms very rapidly. See what foundation your democracy has when the cornerstones have been destroyed.

Yes I know American History and history shows us that if their is the slightest perception of impropriety or favoritism in the judicial system, the citizens will react. In the early history it was with pitch forks and torches. Today its with the vote.

Bail is also based on the allegations. The worse of the allegation the higher the bail.

Hey Jay Levine,
you think these kind of rulings are rare in Cook COunty courthouses? Think again. Half these judges are political appointees from Eddie Burke, Richie Daley and Mike Madigan's personal lists. They rule the way they are told because they are afraid they will get removed from the bench if they do not do as they are told by their sponsers.

Two judges who are prime examples of this are associate Judge Donnelly at branch 46 and associate Judge James Brown (Daley's close personal friend and neighbor) in branch 42.

Please be knowing you muther freakin' Engish and grammars before you be posting, yous!!!!! (The first sentence is in sarcasm to your uneducated ass.) Hey moron, what the hell is a dictorship? Can you please clarify what "the right to be post a bail" means? Of course, let's not forget the first line of "Please." This is not a sentence, idiot. Then you follow it with, "Know you American History." What the hell does that mean? What the hell does any of this mean? Ahhh, I figured it out. It means you are an uneducated idiot. That is what it all means.

For future reference to all posters, hundreds maybe even thousands of individuals read these posts. Thank you for that post. The numbers don't lie. We see it every day. How is it that I stop convicted murderers who are still in there twenties on a regular basis. That means that at the max they did 10 years. For most, it is along the lines of 5 or 6. A few months back, I stopped a convicted murder that served 4 years in prison. Yes, you are correct that his background was nothing. Well that is because he had barely made it to being an adult when he murdered somebody. Even if he was 50 and never arrested before in his life, murder is murder. This county is beyond belief. It is beyond reason. It is beyond control.

The only way for our children and their children to live in this city 10 years from now is for the powers to be to wake the hell up and look around. Look at the streets. Look at the criminals. Look at the crimes. Look at our officers that every day are being assaulted, battered, and ultimately murdered on our streets. It is almost past the point of no return.

Somebody, anybody, please, help us help our city. We need our police powers back. We need to be able to control these streets and keep them safe for each and every citizen and not be afraid of losing our jobs or homes because of it. We are not asking to be vigilantes. We are simply asking to be able to protect ourselves and the city and those that live in it. We need criminals to pay for their crimes. We don't need new laws. We simply need to enforce the ones that we have, and then we need to punish those who break them.

The time has come for someone to take a stand against the criminal enterprise that runs this city. The time has come for someone to show the rest of the world what is going on here and the lack of what is going on here.

On the whole topic of POSs who get off easy by judges....someone should investigate the misdemeanor branch courts in the city -- 46 (555 w. Harrison), 23 (5555 W. Grand), 34 (51st and Wentworth), 29 (Belmont and Western), and 35 (111th and Ellis). Something needs to be done about the judges assigned to those branch courts....as a former ASA assigned to those courts, here are some of things the judges there told me:

(1) Any case involving a police officer who was the victim of a battery is an apology case. Meaning the judge wanted the state to dismiss the charge against the defendant if the defendant apologized to the police officer.

(2) Any case involving Resisting/Obstructing should be dismissed because no one wants to be arrested, so dealing with resisting defendants is just part of a police officers' job.

SCC, you do a great service for the working men and women of the CPD. I have to disagree with you actions towards CBS.

The media has made us the bad guy. I believe you were correct to chastise CBS but, you should have said you would try to help amyway. We need to work with the media to get our point across. The bitching and moaning is just bitching and moaning if we are not going to work towards trying to solve our problems.

We can't be a group of rebels without a cause. I want to change things for the better for not just the police but all the non connected law abiding citizens of this city, county, and state. The revolution is calling. U SCC have a connection to keep the ball rolling. I think you should do so.
.
.
.
You're entitled to your opinion.

We already have jobs - Chicago Police Officers. We are not reporters. We aren't going to start asking cops to speak with the media. If CBS wants to start questioning coppers about their opinions, then CBS can go out and start asking cops. But don't expect much cooperation since they've been bashing the crap out of us for a few years now.

We've written some 5300+ posts in four years, many that are damn good sources of info for a few enterprising reporters. How many has a CBS editor written? We're doing our part - and this is an unpaid hobby. We don't even subject the readers to blog-ads or pop-ups or anything.

Trust is a two-way street. So is information. We didn't violate the trust. The media did.

Let's see a bit more of the "Freedom of the press is a flaming sword - use it justly, hold it high, guard it well" and a bit less of the "let's not aggravate Richie or the Machine because we might lose the nice seats at the table."

------------------------

Couldn't agree more. Judge Donnelly at Branch 46 is one of the worst!

As for why there are so many misdemeanor cases tossed in the branch courts even when the defendants aren't there....its because of the judges. If the complaining witness isn't in court, it doesn't matter if the defendant is there or not, the judge won't give the state a continuance so without the witness, the state must toss the case! Its ridiculous.

When Judge Maria Kuriakos was at Branch 46, she was just as bad as Donnelly. (She's the judge who set the bond on the two POS who killed Officer Valadez).

There's an unwritten rule in Cook County, that judges don't think misdemeanors are legitimate cases, so they want the state to dismiss all of them or just find every defendant not guilty. Its ridiculous!

As for the dope cases in the felony prelim branch courts, I've witnessed it. Judges don't find PC unless there's a minimum weight. William Balfour's case was tossed by Judge Skryd for no PC and if you've read the RD, there certainly was way more than PC. (It was a traffic stop after the officers' witnessed his car driving over curbs at a high rate of speed.) Dismissed because it was a low weight.

6/05/2009 06:55:00 AM

As for judges, not a higher standard---THE HIGHEST standard. But what do you expect? She's related to Daley.

Low life drunken bitch. Didn't even blow---tells me all I need to know about her fucking ethics.

How can anyone stand before her to be judged for anything? You would think she'd have the decency to quit or retire. But, no, there is more money to be made.

Carry on.

Based on my own personal experience with former Channel 5 "investigative reporter" Peter "Judas" Karl, I would generally advise against any active identifiable officer from making critical yet truthful comments to the media on "matters of public concern".

The media cannot be trusted.

At first, Mr. Karl was our knight in shining armor on his great white stallion in exposing the brazen, in-our-face corruption of EXAMSCAM to WMAQ-TV viewers.

Then, when the shit hit the fan with the City's vindictive retaliation against me, Mr. Karl would not return my desperate calls for help from these treacherous bullies. He was nowhere to be found. I was left to twist slowly in the wind at the mercy of Daley, LeRoy "The Father of ExamScam" Martin, then Corporation Counsel Susan S. Sher and even Anton Valukas, the then U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

Incidentally, "Judas" received lucrative contracts with the City shortly after his "expose". How fuckin' convenient!

The MSM must be aware that no active and sane CPD officer can trust them with truthful documentable criticism of the City made in the interests of citizen taxpayers.

Yet, media continues to approach officers, their CPD nameplates visible, as if they expect an honest answer. Keep it real, media. Sooner or later, the Antichrist Daley will make the life of a whistleblower absolutely miserable.

Anonymity notwithstanding, only fools in denial or media actually in collusion with the Daley administration can peruse this SCC Web site and not realize that Daley and his management have totally destroyed CPD morale with "da Chicago Way." God bless SCC and the Internet.

And then the MSM will attempt to defend their inaction by stating that no officers came forward to complain.

Hey, I'm outta here and don't really give a fuck. But for the sake of the fine men and women who put themselves in harm's way and the uninformed good citizens of Chicago, a vigilant media has the obligation, responsibilty, power, resources and audience to turn this around.

Then again, even the less than cynical say that Daley "owns" the media. Under analysis, this appears to be the only plausible explanation as to why the MSM sits with their thumbs up their asses and refuses to intervene in this Daley orchestrated clusterfuck.

Prove me wrong, media. Any questions? I can be reached via eMail at CPDfop7@yahoo.com

Everyone of them walking out smiling. When my guy went up and my name was called I answered present. He was in shock that he had the misfortune to have someone who actually showed up when they signed a complaint.

Rather than make all the dregs wait all morning, the case was continued and of course I had to wait until the revolving door was over, not the bad guys.

What the media should do is a story on this, go sit in the court and follow a few of these lower cases. It would be a start to show how messed up things are.

retired with a cause:

I always believed that being a homicide detective was the best spot in the cpd.

A new dick would keep his mouth shut and learn from the experienced ones. You'd read their writing styles and flow of a case, usually the cleared / closed files.

Learn to type, organize yourself and think.

It was most appalling to me to learn later in my years how many killers were to be let go , walk free, due to the poorly trained ASA's and most of all their egotistical, political, and second guessing supervisors.

If you want to do justice to the citizens of the city of chicago and the great work of the members of the cpd...all of them...

Jay / check out some cleared closed exception reports (CCX's)
Do the work, don't expect to be hand fed information.

These will tell ( between the lines) why known murders were forced to be released.

We have the finest police department in this country bar none. Bad apples/ yes, they are everywhere but by the numbers we have the fewest.

Too bad politics has it's tentacles
so far into the courts and government.

Levine should work the judge story and those aspiring to become judges.

Violent crime victims, like police officers know how screwed up the Cook County Courts are. And people wonder why there are so many murders. These POS's know nothing's going to happen to them, so they continue to do what they do, commit violent crime. They can and do get away with murder! But, when they're so brazen to murder police officers, and no one thinks nothing of it, this city is fucked and will only get worse.

I had this piece of shit scumbag gang-banger threading me, telling me that he was going to SHOOT ME, Police report was made, and then the SAVAGE was arrested. The scumbag “17 year’s old” has been arrested about seven times, once for the possession of a (fire arm) I went to (Grand n Central) court three times and the Fat fucker Defender, kept asking for continuance, thinking that: I was not going to show up, WRONG! I was there every time, one day the thug was late for court, He made some bullshit excuse about the bus being late, but a court advocate that I know, told me that someone SHIT-HEAD drove him, and that he saw him getting out of a car, the IDIOT JUDGE already posted a warrant for his arrest, so I left thinking that, this SAVAGE was on the hunt WRONG! He showed up before closing and the judge removed the warrant and gave him another court date, so I’m thinking my self that my next court day is when he gets arrested on the warrant. WRONG!! The fucking States Attorney never send me a court day and the case was dismissed when I did not showed up…That’s what I called a worthless p.o.s States Attorney “I hope he is the next SAVAGE victim” so I can laugh my ass off!

Officer also say's Ernie Brown is ordering them to seize and inventory everything of value at said residence, even if it is outside the scope of said "Ernie Brown" warrant. This entire scenario has caused the officer to crawl into the bottle. That's pretty good for a retiree, no? I knew I'd be missed.

Why is morale so bad they ask?

A car tonight tried to stop a vehicle that was displaying a bogus temp. The offender purposefully backs his car up striking the officer's car inorder to defeat the arrest. The officers do the right thing and try to give chase, bec you know, no one can lawfully defeat an arrest. Well bec there was a traffic crash, the "chase" was terminated. The offender carries on into 2 other districts nearly smashing into numerous other police and citizen cars before making his escape onto LSD. Making us look like total fools.

The policy groups should not have to wonder anymore!

--------------------

That's PPO training day 101.. A vehicle used with the intent of being a weapon and knowingly makes contact with another vehicle or person commits aggravated battery.. That is clearly not a traffic accident.. Just glad the POs are ok.

"It was a tip that seemed almost unbelievable -- and took us all day to confirm. Because in Chicago, police and prosecutors are afraid to criticize judges they'll have to face again."

I’m the POLICE and I’m not afraid at all!

Two words: Judge Clapps.

Talk about a useless piece of shit!

Was at Juvie, is at 26th St.

And there is a lot more!

Part of the problem is, if we, the police do something “out of line” or “wrong” in the eyes of the public, everyone is calling for blood! We get CR’s, suspended, sued… But a Judge, OH HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE AUTHORITY! There is NO recourse if a Judge makes a bad call. Absolutely NONE, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, ZERO! Judges can’t be sued. It’s a law.

Sooooo, This “Honor Student” gets off lightly for pointing a gun at the Police, thanks to our beloved Judge. Somewhere in the (near) future, the same individual goes out and actually shoots, and heaven forbid, kills someone, any recourse for the Judge? Oh, I’m sorry, this scenario will NEVER happen, not her, not with these stellar individuals of Engelwood, Roseland, Pilsin, The West Side, et al.

The System has become a fucking joke, it’s time for the “sheepole” to pull their collective heads out of their asses and wake up! But, than again, no one really cares about crime, judges, and states attorneys until it happens to them, and then, its just one big inconvenience.

A couple years ago I found the Officer Down Memorial Page. odmp.org Every once in a while I go and read about the officers. The honored officers listed are from across the United States and some countries around the world. I've learned so much from their tragedies, about all the danger officers’ face. It's not just death due to gunfire like the murders we've seen in the news of Officer Valadez, the Philadelphia & Oakland police. You see their faces; some are filled with 20 years of experience & some that look like someone I had a crush on in high school. You learn about their families, their honors, and many friends and family share personal stories. Some officers died due to their health, accident or by the criminal actions of another. It's tragic and humbling to learn about the remarkable individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect the citizens of the United States. The honors are not only for the hero’s of our recent past but they have slowly added information about the fallen hero’s of history dating back to the 1790’s. I’m sure the majority of the readers of this blog are already aware of the existence of this amazing non-profit. But many may not realize there is a place on each hero’s page to leave “Reflections.” As someone who has never known a police officer killed in the line of duty, the memories left by friends, family, and fellow officers plus the condolences by strangers, officers from other agencies, survivors of a similar tragedy, people who are family members to of police officers in the same dept. and from departments across the country are inspiring. To the police officers that think that no one cares about what you do will hopefully have a change of heart. I understand that you deserve more recognition by the people of Chicago but it may touch your heart reading the concerns of complete strangers. I’m not naïve enough to think it make solve the issues with the lack of personnel, equipment, lack of a contract, overall morale and many other problems, but it may help. I also encourage those who worked with our fallen CPD heroes to tell us your stories, the heroic ones, the funny ones, sad ones and everything in between. Help us honor and remember your fallen heroes. In my humble opinion, Officer Valadez is not a hero because of the tragic end to his young life. Officer Valadez became a hero when he took the oath to serve and protect. I extend my heartfelt condolences to all the heroes of the CPD, and the friends and family of Officer Valadez. Thank you for all of your honor and dedication to our city. I want to send a special thank you to the Officer who so generously cut me a break when I went the wrong way down a one way street right in front of his squad recognizing that I had not been drinking (shocking, I know) and I was not trying to cut through anywhere, I was just your basic idiot. ☺

At Juvenile , I know there was a big difference with our State's Attorneys in the early 90's under Jack O'Malley ( Republican, ex-cop). They were much more aggressive in prosecuting and sentencing . I'm not saying we don't have some good ASA's now, just that there seemed to be many more good ones back then. There also seemed to be a much different attitude from the State's Attorneys office as a whole.

Jay / check out some cleared closed exception reports (CCX's)
Do the work, don't expect to be hand fed information.

--------------

Absoutely right.

All Jay needs to look at is any Homicide CCX "Bar to Prosecution."

It would completely lay out why an offender was arrested, then released, after the ASA refused to prosecute. Any one of those reports would make the public scream. In 90% of those cases, the fact the offender was not charged is illogical and completely unjustified.

Jay could then go interview the victim's family and compare it to an ASA saying, "I don't know why that wasn't charged." That would be some good video for his next piece.

I hope you read the blog, Jay.

I've been off work on medical lately, but I've heard that the judge in branch 44 is throwing out every dope arrest that involves less than 1 gram of dope. Even on surveillance cases where multiple transactions are witnessed. This doesn't surprise me since I've watched branch 44 become more and more liberal over the years, but anything less than 1 GRAM?!! That is absurd! So it's become perfectly legal now to sell or possess 8 or 9 rocks or blows? Outstanding. Why bother anymore folks? Just get home safely to your family every night.

6/05/2009 04:53:00 PM

This has been going on in Branch 48FOREVER. The same shitheads get brought in for MFG/DEL of Controlled Substance with multiple transactions, each and every month and the cases get dumped due to the amount that they have on them. So why not sell dope?! They quickly have learned to keep a small amount on them, if any, and if they get locked up the case will get dumped. Countless cases have been dumped and the shitheads literally laugh and smile in front of the judge as they walk out of the courtroom. And the judge doesnt do shit!!!!!

I always figured that possession of controlled substances was LEGAL in Cook County according to the local branch judges and the trial judges in our system.

Anything up to 1 gram is legal because it gets tossed out in preliminary hearings CITYWIDE/COUNTYWIDE!

EX. 1 gram equals about 10 foils or bags of let s say HEROIN, of which ONE foil or bag is equivalent to .01 grams (.01 to .02 or two foils or bags of said substance is enough for the possessor to get his high for the day or get straight to keep from being dope sick)

Possessing this only leads to them wanting MORE!!!

Meaning since they have no money....they commit CRIMES, THUS they break into your precious YUPPIE car and steal your lap top or GPS and then pawn it only to get enoughto go to the DOPEMAN and buy more DOPE!

Then if they get busted with a foil or bag they go to county then to preliminary hearing in a weeks time they get their case tossed and are out to DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN or to rape , kill or rob as well as steal!

WELCOME TO CROOK COUNTY!!!!

Now the same thing is certaqinly true of the entire City Council. But, I think we could do with out them. In fact, this next election, we should run candidates against all of them.
