1968 Reunion Pics
Someone sent us a link to an online album. You can see a bunch of pictures inside and outside of the Hall from last week:
That's a lot of gray hair, but they still look like they could have taken the protesters out front.

Look at all the liberal fucks on the first couple of pictures just dying to "make a statement". Waaa Waaa, you oppressed people, and took away our rights. Reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman killed all the hippies. Makes me want to fucking puke.
Here's to you boys.
You should have kicked little Dickie's ass too.
Seeing the demonstrators kinda makes one's clubhand itch.
There may be snow on the roof but the fire burns inside.
Man, there's not one cute girl in that crowd. Those guys should hook up with the PETA group.
I'm glad the police from 1968 could get together. They deserve it with all the crap they had to put up with.
What's with the protesters and their signs? Most of them don't even look old enough to have been around in 1968. What really ticks me off is that if they think what they are doing is so righteous why do they have to hide their faces? If they are proud of what they are protesting, let them show their faces.
The gentlemen from 1968 deserve our gratitude.
God Bless each and everyone of the officers and may they all be here and healthy for the 50th anniversary.
When Irish Eyes are smiling!!!
GOd bless these men. THE REAL MOTHER FUCKING POLICE!
God bless theses fine officers ..... Mike Masters!
Are there commemorative tshirts availble from this historic event?
There is actually a copper on here that worked cermak rd. for years. Caught me throwing snowballs and kicked me in my ass. That was in the 50's. When I was assigned to 010 he was still there, We are good friends to this day. FOP might have smelled like "ben-gay that day but I would go to was with these guy's. They were and are a credit to this city/country.
For old time sake those boys shouldve went outside and beat the shit out of the protesters. That wouldve been classic.
I think you're right, SCC, some of those old-timers look like they could still kick ass. God bless those men!
Now those guys were real "warriors", and had real "leaders" that led them into and out of the battle! Unlike today, like what they allowed to happen to a great copper Swiss, another 1 thrown under the bus! You cannot tell any copper that j-fed could not stop this! You know he was told before they did this to Swiss! Karma is a bitch boss, you did COZZI and allowed this to Swiss! No wonder it is hard to find coppers that work, and risk losing their, jobs, pension, homes, families, lives!
Those coppers saved the city in 68, 69 & 70 plain and simple.
Don't forget that the person who coined the term "Police Riot" was one of the three, soon to be four, Illinois Governors who went to Federal Prison in the past 40 years.
A big, hearty Fuck You to Dan Walker.
Jodie, don't be so nervous, the convention guys didn't slap the shit out of one of your protesters. But it is a good thing you sent the younger officers to protect your protesters.
Saw Dahlberg and Farrel in the bunch. Explains a lot.
the police from the 60' & 70's are the real deal , got the job done
great bosses
not a bunch of whining ,back stabbers like some of the newly hired officers of the 21st century
Those KIDS outside look like they were not even born in 68. They go to colleges where the real rioters from 68 now impart there socialist ideals as teachers.
saw ole bill jac in one pic. a nice man! the only thing missing from the police protesters is the old vietcong flag! i guess jagoffs breed little jagoffs
You have to feel sorry for the protesters. They are probably upset because we beat the snot out of their parents. I'm retired now but I cut my teeth on the 1968 events and I loved the job for 36yrs. Can't say that I envy the situation you guys are in though. I went to the first march and will be at any others that you have. BE SAFE!
A couple of good shots of Capt. John Farrell. His white shirt matches his full head of hair.
The Real Police from 1968 when you were able to be the Real Police and do what was right. I am retired and became a Police Officer in 1970 but grew as a Police Officer as those of 1968 being my mentor. Thanks guys. J-Fed should take example and know that the Real Police of yesterday and today are Fraternal Brothers Always, remember the Blue Line
I thought that was the early rollcall in 016?
hope abut the male white in his early 20's with the remeber fred hampton sign..dude i dont you were even alive
SCC,

maybe you don't want to list this, but to me it shows some pretty good restraint and decent police work in the face of a rather idiotic crowd.
To the protestors,,,
What a rag-tag bunch of candy-butts. Wow, you are such a revolutionary wearing your Che shirt bought at a Mall and covering your face as if a death-squad would ever come and take you away. Go home to your Mom and Dad and get your spending money for next month and blow it on Latte's at the coffeehouse while you go to classes such as "comparative art appreciation" and "the social effects of identity politics in a gentrifying nieghborhood", then take that spending money and go for a walk through Englewood and see how far you get,
Did I hear you chanting?: The Whole World ISN'T Watching.
And how come minorities were so underrepresented in the ranks ? I didn’t count more than a handful, and only a couple of African-Americans,,,hummmm,,,think that says something about you ? There were more minority Police Officers guaranteeing your rights of assembly and the ’68 Officers rights to assembly than there were in your ranks. Maybe you should try and make some friends outside your circle of armchair radicals.
As for the “Fred Hampton” sign carrying dude: You can blame the FBI for that whole mess, you know those guys right ? The agency that the Supt Weis comes from. They set that all in motion. (Read the Wiki article) Oh and Hampton would not have been any friend of most of you folks, ever read any of the BPP platforms. Your Lily white buttocks would have been…never mind.
As for the “CPD Beats everyone” sign carrier…That had to be the most classicly stupid sign I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a few of them. Ummm, moron, when you carry a sign saying “ X beats Y”, what you are saying is that “X” is better than “Y”. Nevermind, kind of hard to understand when your Mommy kept feeding you Ritalin so she could bonk the poolboy while Daddy stayed out late with his secretary.
All that publicity, and only 75 people show up ? You are really great organizers !!! Considering how hated the CPD is these days, how the largely media fueled hype against the CPD is played out in endless news cycles after newscycles,,,you could only muster 75 people…75 people in the age of facebook, twitter, myspace, you are pathetic. Hey I got an idea, next time tell everyone the CPD is killing squirrels, then you may get a crowd.
Don’t even get me started on Critical Mass…
SCC Thanks for posting this lengthy diatribe, and to all Police reading this, Have a safe Independence Weekend!
--Not a Cop—But not that –not a cop--
God bless those officers, who by order of our own mayor's father, followed orders. They sustained blows by bricks, stones, shit and piss, hands, feets, spit...you name it. You get a wood shampoo if you don't obey orders so deal with it.
F*ck the protesters. No doubt socialists bordering on communists.
Those powder blue helmets were the shit. Man, what it must have been like to wade into a see of dirtheads with a two-foot club. Wish I had been there...
Phil Cline is pictured in the group. 1st picture, 4th row.
Think I saw a few boys from the old 39th Street Station. As was said before...THE REAL FUCKING POLICE not one drop of hair jel there !!! Take a lesson kiddies.
I only watched it once but I was amazed at the lack of diversity in the protesters. Some caucasians gotta have a hobby, I guess. And what about the chick with the trombone!?!?! Bet she's got some good bandcamp stories.
I was one of the "old guys" at the reunion and I just want to thank all of you officers who were assigned the detail. I would also like to thank all of you for the kind words and the way most of you feel about us. I hope none of you ever have to repeat what we went through, although it sounds like you would welcome the chance. You people are the "real police" always remember that and be assured that any march, actions or whatever you have planned in the future, we be there for you. All of you, Stay Safe.
I only wish my Dad were still alive so that he could have been there.
