Connecting More Dots
- Mayor Richard M. Daley today named new commissioners for the Departments of Streets and Sanitation and Fleet Management, a new director of the Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy program (CAPS) and a new Deputy Chief of Staff for Community and Faith-Based Initiatives.
Vance Henry, Deputy Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office for Community and Faith-Based Initiatives. Henry has served as director of the City's CAPS program since 2001.
"In his new role, Vance will work with me and alongside Police Superintendent Weis and the CAPS program to continue expanding community policing efforts," Daley said.
"I have directed him to work with neighborhood organizations and city agencies to ensure the strategic delivery of city services and programs in the neighborhoods of most need, and I expect him to expand our partnerships with the faith-based community.
"Vance is a passionate and dedicated professional. He grew up in Chicago and he knows that strong and safe neighborhoods represent the key to our city's continued progress," he said.

This guy is a boy scout compared to what Lil' Tommy BYRNE has gotten away with. There isn't a federal prison cell built small enough to accomodate him.

SCC, can you please ask him to answer the below questions as he is streaming out new iniatitives and attempting to put key knowledgeable people in charge. The Academy incident should be investigated as Violence in the Workplace - Retaliation. No officer should be moved for doing their job. If we continue to allow this type of behavior from the 3rd in Command, coupled with her criminal related background, how can you continue to claim we are connecting the dots to a better city or a better department? I want to hear these answers. That would be a start to say the Jfed and the Mayor at least have an eye lid open and are actually trying to support this department inspite of political associations or intimate history. Please jfed and daley, read below.

What happened with the case against her daughter's boyfriend regarding the guns and the drugs? What happened with the CR number? Last but not least, what did the Problem Buildings Unit and the City of Chicago's Department of Buildings and Law do regarding the property since their is an ordinance that comes to play here, felony criminal charges that require CPD and the City to respond a certain way legally in regard to the owner of the property? I also don't see any information regarding this property in the places it is required. Now, lets address this Mr. Mayor.
Supt. Jody Weis, answer those questions for us, the troops. I am sure the news media is eager listening and waiting.

Henry, who makes well in excess of $100,000 a year, was in charge of the 60 or so civilians that work as community organizers in districts. They also have people who work with schools and bad buildings.
He’s a piece of garbage, racist against everyone but blacks, and stupid as they come. Ted O’Keefe, who recommended him to the Mayor, has to be embarrassed by him but has never spoke out against him...

All of these tapes should be released involving these Reverands and news media types. But unfortunately the Blacks will come to the aid of there fellow Black criminals.

You forgot that he was caught on tape bashing the police, swearing about us mofos to the gang bangers he was passing info to. Of course the tape has disappeared.
I have no clue about any tapes and haven't ever heard that before. He is really a very nice guy that loves the police. He is also one of few civilian bosses that directly support us. I do know he stood up for me and my team when we got into some shit that was not true, against the warnings of many political heads because it involved an aldercreature's son. Since my interaction with him then, he has been nothing but supportive of all of us in Area Four through now. I really think this is bad information put forth by Beth Ford because he put her in her place at a march out here a few weeks ago. She let him know in his face she was going to get him. I guess she did. Women!

That would be amazing, if she was the only CAPS manager to do this. What’s truly pathetic is, Glen Brooks an area coordinator and another con man from CAPS out did Fords antics. He smashed Vance Henry’s city leased vehicle into 6 parked cars, also while drunk. He also didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Consequences…he had 2 Sgts drive him around and now acts as CAPS spokesmen.
The head of Chicago's community policing program is coming under scrutiny for his relationship with the alleged leader of the Mafia Insane Vice Lords street gang, officials confirmed Tuesday.
Vance Henry acknowledged he was interviewed this year by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration about his ties to Troy Martin.
Martin, a convicted murderer, was arrested in May at his family's home in suburban Bolingbrook in a federal sting on the gang. Authorities said Martin, known as "King Troy," ran a West Side drug operation that netted $5,000 a day.

caps was invented so that pieces of crap like the ones here in 019 that work in there don't have to go on the street. Lord knows how dangerous it is in 019! They are the hdqtrs rejects, so these spots were created at district level. And Cline had said none of these would be promoted. What a joke. Just like the entire tac team that made sgt. cuz they pulled over the aldermans son and found 1 gr. of marijuana in his car. He got cut loose and the other kid took the fall.
