Ouch!

Ugly wreck (picture from WBBM780):

Officer should be OK though:
  • A Chicago Police officer was hospitalized in good condition early Tuesday when his squad car slammed into a building on the city's West Side.

The squad car -- which was not on its way to an emergency call -- was eastbound on Madison Street around 2:40 a.m. when a car that had been parked started moving and pulled out in front of him in the 2500 block of West Madison Street...
We're assuming he was working 99? Because anyone in the passenger seat would have been destroyed along with the squad car.

He was already in the intersection (if this took place in an intersection) by the placement of the t-boning of the rt side pass door. That is for all gawkers who want to place blame on injured copper.

ot: last nite the gnome reporter zekman did a story on parking tickets. said officers will be retrained on the laws. but every car shown had a meter maid ticket on it. not one had ours. guess its easier to go after the police then to get the facts right.

Copper in 024 last night was "doored" while on an ATV. He's going to be ok, but be careful on those things, they are deathtraps.

Hey man, just be glad I had fast reflexes!

J-Fed's gonna shit!

Make up your mind, dude, is he gonna shit or is he gonna kill us?

First he's gonna shit, then he's gonna kill us!

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

I doubt it is an attack on police. She probably was told by someone that police were going to be retrained on parking tickets and just reported it.

I doubt they knew or cared who issued the tickets shown.

Are you kidding? It took two weeks to get my beat car back from getting a new starter put in! You know, that strange and exotic hard to get part, a starter. The hardest thing about getting one is paying for it. The City is bad about that stuff, they roll the vendors over a barrel, unless they are connected, and get cheap prices and then the terms are net 90 which means net 180 days with no interest charged.

regular honest businesses get hosed doing business with the city. that's why it takes two weeks to do a starter on a ford.

Yes they are. Also they are not designed for the street, they are off road vehicles, NOT hard pavement vehicles. They are not DOT approved for the street. The original supplier was Polaris. Polaris stopped selling to the City because officers were getting injured on them and Polaris told the City they were NOT designed or approved for the street.

Now the City uses other manufacturers. Still not DOT approved for the street. Why doesn't Pam Zeckman go after something like that?

Thugs, yes thugs, you heard it here first, want to know how the copper is. They're concerned. They have more morals than anyone at city hall and the Sun Times combined. I never thought I'd see the day. My dad did, but I didn't.

F you. F Rayl. The only rat is Rayl. For the record he got himself busted because he's stupid. His career has been unearned cheesecake. And he wasn't a great boss. He was a puss who didn't want to know nothin, didn't do nothing, never had to account for nothing to nobody. The only person he took care of was himself. His boys in the B-port hood carried his ass, like Huels and King Richard. Everybody knows.

Going on the medical one day before retirement and keeping the squad?! Was told somebody high up saw him driving the wifey to work downtown one too many times in his exempt squad. When Brown confronted him his excuse was nobody told me I had to turn it in. WTF?? He got 38 years on the job and he don't know he can't keep the squad when on medical?! F him.

Another example of an exempt getting away with somethin that a PO would be fired after being criminally charged. Why no medical check on anexempt gone with a department vehicle over 6 months? And he goes to the pump using city gas!!Nobody says shit, just tells him retire or you go back to capt. They let his ass off with no IAD investigation, no dockin his check to pay the city back for the stolen gas and stolen department vehicle. The city needs the money. We got no cars and he's driving one on medical?! Never accountability for exempt. Proved over and over gain, exempt can do whatever they want on or off duty. FN bullshit.

Rayl should be kissing Brown's ass for letting him slide out with a retirment check. Brown should have charged him with a felony, and then what, no pension for you!!

What? You didn't hear me? F U and F RAYL. Call Richie and have him yell at Weis, you useless city car thief. Dont even start me on his security side job he had years as exempt...got away with that too!@
F head probably took the car in for G&O on medical. And HE DID throw his troops under the bus asswipe...many times>STFU!!!!!

That's the new pilot vehicle program. If you park it at the corner you can cover two streets at the same time. The French invented it...very clever...no?
