Back in the 1980's, Tom Dart started his career in the State's Attorney's office. Dart wasn't a bad guy in Markham Court (Room 101). There were a couple of other young ASA's in that room who did well politically in Cook County. Colleen McSweeny-Moore became a judge and Scott Cassidy (retired from the State's Attorney,now working for Dart).
I thought all three were pretty decent people. I have no qualms with Dart and wish him the best. I hope he doesn't turn dirty.

seeing him on t.v. today i thought that same exact thing. first off, he has pretty much all of the white voters. now you see him on t.v. alinging himself with jessie jackson and the black community taking a huge part in this cemetary scandel. oh yes, i belive that tom dart will one day be the mayor of the city of chicago. which may or may not be bad.

Dart is a political opportunist who is taking advantage of the situation to get his face on television. This machine Dummycrat has his eyes focused on city hall, and will not be satisfied until he becomes mayor.
I can't stand all the local politics and back room dealing. But, I do believe Dart is definitely a cut above the rest of those guys. He seems like a tireless worker, honest and willing to get personally involved. I think he'd be a great replacement for Richie someday.
we need three new mayors-- one for the blacks, one for the whites, and one for the hispanics--- all three work together to try to keep everyone happy--- one person can not do it---

OT: Anyone else have this problem. I had surgery and i am currently still on the medical. I purchased my city sticker on-line because i couldn't go anywhere on May 26th. I still have not recieved the city sticker in the mail. They tell you to call a number (which i did about 100 times) and when you call the number, you get a recording and then get disconnected. You never speak or have a chance to speak to a human. This city sucks.
Can't we get anyone elected that isn't 'CONNECTED"??? tHIS IS GETTING WAY TO F*CKIN OLD.

I know some people don't like him, but I think I'd vote for him. He seems as sincere as a politician can get, and he does seem to come out on the right side (literally) of most issues. I can't say I've disagreed with his positions on anything yet. Why the hell not? What else do we have to look forward to? Mayor Jesse Jr? God help us.

This Scott Cassidy is the ASA who while pretending to help some officers along with FOP, was actually putting a case on form the GJ. He lied to FOP & got the officer indicted. He's the same Scott Cassidy that was arrested on one of the Gambling Boats while intoxicated & after a few calls had the case against him dropped. CASSIDY is nothing but a Piece of Shit!!!!!

You are 100 percent correct. BIG POS. He threatened detectives many times to charge police officers with crimes. Scottass didnt even want to hear the facts of the investigation, he just wanted the cop charged or he'll do it, which is how it always ended up.
cASSidy has a twisted mind to fuck with all police officers because his detective brother got fucked in a high profile area 1 murder case of a little girl. You know what Im talking about. I always wanted to ask drunkassidy why hes taking his anger out on the coppers, when it was the mayor and Hillard who fucked his detective brother - who for the record did nothing wrong in that case.

Cook County Sheriff was the only office Richard J. Daley ran for that he didn't win.
Granted, he may have run a half hearted campaign because he really didn't want the job, but it makes for an interesting exercise in altered reality.
What if Daley Sr. had been elected to the office, and either not run for Mayor of Chicago or wound up being defeated or shut out by another slated candidate?
I wonder what the city would have wound up looking like.

You might notice he has a tendency to congratulate himself when the media doesn't notice what a fabulous job he's doing, ie; "this one required thinking outside of the box". An unintentional pun and a really clever choice of words when you consider the investigation stems from about 300 people being popped out of their "boxes".
