Sooner they get the ground tamped and the sod replaced the better I'll like it...

...but not the cockroaches. "Miles and miles of tapes in Jackson vaults," the bugs report -- enough for them to re-mix and re-master and "discover" and re-release for approximately forever. Worse than Tiny Tim -- he sang a song once and lived on the strength of it for the rest of his life. Here, you've got an army of camp followers, secret loves, and parents-who-weren't following the line of march, each one with a lawyer, and none of whom ever sang a note...

He was a fantastic entertainer, no doubt. His music through the years was phenomenal, and THRILLER was 2nd only to Sgt. Pepper.

BUT….he was a living caricature of himself. The plastic skin and the constant surgeries to re-tool his face was just too much. You just knew he wasn’t going to last.

Short memories people have...and all the fawning over him now makes me sick.

OK, let's give the devil his due.
He was musically talented. THE END.
He was also demented, disgusting, & a very negative role model for
anyone, white, black or green. It's especially disturbing to hear
anyone who is critical of him labeled a "racist".Who cares what color he was,he was a whack job.
More heartbreaking, is the media response. Somehow he's a king, superhero... and a young U.S.serviceman, who has died for our country, is ignored. It's so pathetic & value distorted. But is indicative of shallow Americans.
I thought California was bankrupt, & yet they have millions
to squander on this freak's funeral?

Yea lets have unlimited coverage of a creeps funeral along with two brutally, merciless killers and ignore the death of the CCSP Officer blown up in Afghanistan serving his country. He left a wife and five children. I really just cannot stand the media in this town. My condolences to the friends, family, and department of the CCSP.

Next thing there will be the one's who don't believe he's really dead. Maybe there will be headlines on the tabloids of him and Elvis taking the kids to the beach in Michigan or something. Course, that right there is the clue that it's made up. Elvis and Michael Jackson. Elvis would TCB right off with his karate moves. If he'd come near Lisa Marie while Elvis was alive he'd have had good reason to need plastic surgery. Wait a minute, maybe that's what happened? Hmmmm. Gotta rethink the Elvis is dead theory.....

He made multi million dollar payoffs to three minors and their families that we are aware of and those were just the ones who talked about pursuing criminal charges. Oh, and by the way Depak...pedophiles don't go after children whose parents are powerful or famous themselves and might have the wherewithal to actually win a court case against the pedophile. They go after

I'm sooo sick of all this media coverage I can barely type.

Out of all the celebs that kicked the bucket the last few weeks (they come in 3's and I lost count after a while) Ed McMahon is the only one that I care about and will miss.

He was part of TV history. A great sidekick to the late, great Johnny Carson for 30+ years. He also had many other successful TV shows and was also an integral part as co-host of the Annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon for years.

But most importantly, he served our Country twice in his lifetime as a USMC WWII and Korean War Vet.

Now how did the little kid toucher MJ "serve his country"? He did it by bleaching his face, grabbing his crotch, having countless plastic surgeries in a desperate attempt to be "white" and raking in billions of dollars from "fans" worldwide from his horrible music.

It sure would be nice to see the same amount of media coverage given to all those that gave their lives for our Country serving in Iraq, and Afghanistan.

The "King Of Pop?"

More like the "King Of Poop"

His big hits were in the mid to late 1980's. Hadn't really done anything artiscaly big for over 20 years.

In todays' fast paced media world, that is like so last-century.

A big song-and-dance man to be sure. But NO way anything near Elvis or Sinatra.

His death might be a financial boon to his corporation. Look what Elvis's death did for Elvis, Inc.

Especially when you factor in that there won't be any more big legal defense bills or settlements to pay.

To say MJ was eccentic would be a understatement. As to the allegations of pedophillia,he was aquitted. And if I'm not mistaken, one of his accusers who walked away with millions of dollars recanted his accusations against MJ after his death. As with any larger than life celebrity, there will always be those who love or hate the person. In Michael's case MANY more expressed love including his daughter who clearly loved and adored her dad. This is a person through his craft touched the entire world. This is why his memorial service garnered so much attention. Also he was beloved by many because of his charitable efforts around the world. Having said all that, he was in no way perfect. Like all of us, he had his demons and skeletons. But one thing is certain, he was the greatest entertainer on the planet. I was able to attend only one of his concerts. The experience was magical. Many people on this blog will disagree but two of the most respected people in the music business have expressed the same opinion. One is Barry Gordy a man who worked with some of the most talented artists of the last 40 years. The other is Dick Clark, a person who has worked with everyone who is anyone in the music business for over half a century. Sorry SCC, didn't mean to be so long winded, just having fun playing "devil's advocate."
