Suburban Cop Shoots Three
Oops (on the part of the bad guys that is):
At least three people were shot on the South Side late Friday during a robbery attempt on a man believed to be an off-duty Markham police officer.
Several people approached the man a little before 10:20 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Yates Boulevard and attacked him with a baseball bat while trying to rob him, and he responded by shooting three people, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor.
Taylor said she believed the man was an off-duty Markham police officer, but as of about 11:15 p.m. was trying to get confirmation from Chicago officers who responded to the scene.
Evidently, the three offenders were attempting to graduate from Stick-Up College. This was the final exam. They failed.

This was a big misunderstanding. This guy with the gun acted stupidly. We was playing midnight baseball and when I showed this new guy my batting technique, he shot me! Then he shot the catcher and the umpire! He would have shot the rest of my team and the opposing team in their dugout, but they was far enough away to run and not get shot! And run they did! Mutha-fucker! You cannot even play midnight baseball no more without getting shot on the streets of Chicago. What the fuck! As soon as we heal, we are gonna try again, so y'all come on over to the famous old baseball field at 78th & Yates with lots 'o cash in you pockets. To buy tickets, I mean. The Off Duty P.O. from Markham was there to buy a used car he saw on Craig's List. He might have been set up to carry cash. (Lesson 1. Buy from CARMAX, they will finance or take a check.)
His girlfriend, also a Markham P.O. was with him, good if she was also armed. (Lesson 2. Bring a Friend with a Gun.)
He fired 14 shots but none of them fatal, but at least he hit all three which is better than what we usually do. (Lesson 3. Practice! Practice! Practice! And once engaged, keep shooting until the threat is neutralized.)
The Off Duty P.O. was checked out at Stroger and I hope that he is doing O.K.. I'd Like to buy him a beer and a box of ammo.

The best part about cops now these days, is that you would never think that they are. I was born, raised, and live on the south side of Chicago. Trust me...if you see me, it'll never cross your mind. They need to designate sections of Chicago green zones, red zones, and yellow zones like they do in Iraq. If you enter or live in a red zone, you should assume you will be shot at any moment. The only issue with this idea is that most of Chicago should be considered a red zone.

If my memory serves me correctly ANY cell phone carrier is required to send a 911 call through even if the phone is not activated.
If 911 is all you want, keep an old phone charged & ready.
If you're looking to keep a regular phone & keep your number all carriers are required to "port" your number.
To "NEED FREE 9-1-1 PHONE" person who posted: Any cell phone will dial 911 whether it is an active cell phone with service or not. I believe it may be a law, but even cell phones without a current service plan will still dial 9-1-1. I have my regular cell phone on me all the time, and I keep my old cell phone (the deactivated one) in my car in case I need it. If you do that though, remember to check the phone once in awhile to be sure it has a charge.

All cell phones sold in U.S. require the availability to call 911 even without a contract or active service, as long as it is powered up, even if locked, it will conect to the nearest 911 authority. If you cancel youe verizon account, keep your battery charged and you have a free line to 911.

Do what you gotta do to go home safe officers. Be it by firearms, boots & fists or other means at your immediate disposal.
