Shots Fired At, By Police
Chicago Police detectives exchanged gunfire with a suspect who reportedly shot a man early Friday in the North Side’s Lincoln Park community.
Police responding to a report of a person shot near North Clybourn and West Fullerton avenues exchanged gunfire with the suspect about 1:35 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
Belmont Area detectives observed a person firing shots in the 2400 block of North Clybourn Avenue, and followed an SUV to the 1800 block of West Fullerton Avenue where an occupant exited the SUV and fired shots at detectives, police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor said.
Again, it seems that more and more of these assholes are willing to take a few shots at the police to avoid the trip to jail. Be careful.

014th district 1st watch and tact officers did a great job. The surrounding district units from 019, 017, 013 and 023 did an outstanding job responding and helping out! Even the outside units and ETs respond! Good to see.
Glad the coppers are ok.

A/3 detectives on view shots fired by the driver of a vehicle at a group of people. A/3 detectives follow vehicle away from scene. passenger of vehicle fires several shots at detectives. passenger bails from car, fires more shots at detectives. detectives return fire and chase passenger. passenger is apprehended by assiting units. As detectives and responding units chase the guy that shot at them the driver and the vehicle makes good his escape. shit head who shot at police is charged and shit head who shot at civilian makes good his escape. hope that helps. great job by all assiting units. It was good to be the police that night.

Who the he'll is lathrop one it was beat 1995 that found and stopped the offender and assist units help in the arrest. MSF was no where near or lathrop one it was the 14,19 and 23 district that responded along with the first watch. Great work by all and not msf or lathrop one!!!!

Well now while I truly appreciate the references to "taking him out old school style" I wasnt there. While a good many of my friends and associates WERE there taking care of business,I unfortunately didnt have a chance to "old school" the bad guy. You can rest assured that HAD I been there I wouldnt have hesitated for a moment to jump in the mix. And to 1995 OUTSTANDING JOB. To those that have actually seen whats left of someone that I have "old schooled" thank you for remembering when it could be done that way. Im not proud of having to tear some animal to shreds or use a can of 2 MIL OC on someone who tried to fight back,as you know, it was something that at the time and under the circumstance HAD to be done. Again thanks for trying to attach me to that caper but sorry, was no where near that scene. STAY SAFE 019 youse da best.

If you have to ASK who Lathrop One is then,my friend, you havent been in 019 too long. Suffice to say a local folk hero. He isnt the Police but if anyone ever should have been,that would be MY choice. A stand up guy very PRO police,had my back on a few occasions when we were serving warrants in the "projects" in 019.Im sure that if he could have been at that scene to help,he would have been.
