Thank You Sir

  • The 80-year-old man who was forcibly held at knifepoint by a panhandler during the lunch hour in the Loop Thursday said he couldn't even feel the weapon against his throat.

  • "He brought it upon himself,'' Bayenderian said about Stolarz today in an interview in his home.
Yes he did. And anyone who attempts to make excuses for his behavior and the subsequent actions of the police really needs to get their heads out of their asses and look at the road society is traveling down.

A word of thanks to the two Police Officers who dispatched these two assholes and a speedy recovery to the injured.

And to any liberal minded morons who think the Officers were wrong, fuck you.

Very wise words from this old timer. I'm glad that this gentleman wasn't hurt and the police officer was saved by his vest. The police officer who fired the fatal shot at the assailant is a hero of the highest order.

If Shortshanks or your boss J-Fed had any sense they would declare a day of honor for this officer.

I know what I wanted to ask. What's up with these SWAT guys? I went to Paul Howes seminar the other day and all these SWAT guys were there. What's up with the Marine style "high and tight" hair cut, especially that Spanish guy whose head was completely shaved on the sides with a small patch of hair about 1/16th in length on top? Is that style haircut required to be on the SWAT Team? And to the guy with the t-shirt with the takeoff of the Navy SEAL Trident on the back- aren't you a little embarrassed? Do you really think you are impressing anybody with that? Do you really think the rest of us think of you guys as being in the same league as the Navy SEALS? I've got no hardon for the SWAT Team. It's probably the only legit unit in the department but when I see you guy's playing or dressing up like GI Joe, I gotta say something. Aren't you happy being a Chicago Police Officer? Why do you feel the need to pose as somebody or something else? And to the Spanish guy with the goofy haircut. How do you go out when your offduty and still be the "grey man"? Your haircut gives you away in a second as a copper. C'mon guys, I think some of you need to growup a little and face up to the fact that you are what you are and your not what your not.

Woman charged in theft of unmarked police car
A Cicero woman charged with stealing an unmarked Chicago police car was ordered held on $25,000 bail Saturday. Shana Hayes, 27, was charged with taking the car Friday from the 4700 block of South Cicero, police said. Hayes allegedly escaped arrest for soliciting prostitution by fleeing in the police vehicle.

Family went to a party last night. There were some kids there that had recently got into trouble for drinking. Somehow the conversation moved to our youth and all the crazy shit we did (and mostly got away with). Then we started talking about the tough cops in our old neighborhoods. I wish you all could have heard people talking about cops WE grew up with. Everyone had a story. One cop got a new puppy for a kid whose dog got killed. Another guy said that they had some cops on the block who would hose down the alley in the middle of winter so the kids could play hockey (and people couldn't use their garages until a warm spell). Another cop used to save pop bottles all year and then used the money to buy all the kids pizza. And there were other guys who went to the service instead of jail. Cops who didn't show up to court but beat their asses outside the bar. Cops who anticipated what we were up to and talked to us BEFORE we got into trouble ("real police work"). These kids couldn't believe how cops used to be such an important part of the neighborhood and influenced all of us in ways only they could. And we all agreed that the CPD hasn't been the same in the last twenty-five years. Cops have always been a rare breed and they know how to be cops without a weird looking superintendent and a fat ass mayor threatening them for doing what they do best. We all agreed we miss the old days.

About the SWAT guys comments. I do agree with the response that you should have aired your issues with them. I am NOT a SWAT guy, but I completely respect what they do, a lot of us can't do it. As for the hair cuts...well he spelled it wrong, but most have connections to the MILITARY, those are some what standard haircuts. The SWAT/SEALs t-shirt, I thought it was kind of creative. They are a cut above the rest of us in terms of tactical skills. Now I do have my head shaved, and that is not what makes me a cop, most just assume I am or was in the military, which is true, and people can make any assumption they want about what an individual does for a living. The long and short of it, your posting was pointless. Most could only hope to make the cut if they were to try out for SWAT.
Now this Womans Tactical Association is looking to tarnish the SWAT team by trying to lower the standards for women to make the cut. I got nothing against women, but I already don't agree with POWER test standards, changing SWAT would be unacceptable. You either fit the requirements or you don't.

Man charged with spitting on cop

OSWEGO (STNG) -- A Chicago man was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer after a Saturday incident in west suburban Oswego.

Victor Smith, 20, of the 1700 block of East 81st Street in Chicago, was in the Kendall County jail after being charged with aggravated battery to a police officer in the 1400 block of Light Road in Oswego, the Kendall County Sheriff's office said.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at apartments on Light Road, and arrested Smith for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor when he allegedly spit on the officer.

Later, Smith also was charged with resisting a correctional officer at the jail.

That is a great idea! The apps themselves are relativly simple. There was an article in the Tribune about two college buddies that came up with one when they couldn't find a decent summer job (Battery Go!) and it ended up being a 10 ten seller and they are both set for all college costs until they graduate.

Cops were different in the old days. After they got done chewing your ass out if your parents started up with them they would go after them too. One cop told my dad, "I'll beat the fuck out of you in front of your whole family!" Dad said I didn't do it cause he didn't want to pay for for the damage. Anyway I was in awe that someone could stand up to my oldman like that.

The SWAT team has T-shirts yes.

The eagle on the back of the shirt is the symbol adopted by SWAT teams across the country and IT IS NOT the Spec-War eagle of the Navy Seals with the Navy Trident. The SWAT logo, in use across the country, looks similar but is NOT THE SAME.
Come to Homan Square with $20 and ask for a shirt for yourself. Sorry, no XXXL for you.
Or go to www.centermassinc.com for an explanation of the logo.

The Old Schoolers:

Came to Chicago with with nothing but the clothes on their backs and a dream of doing better for their kids. Whether they were immigrants or refugees from overseas, blacks from the South or whatever. They worked hard, paid taxes, kept a foot in their children's asses, minded/handled their business and respected authority.

For a lot of us of "certain age" these were our parents and grand-parents. We listened to what they had to say at the dining room table. A lot of it was just good hard eyed common sense. We knew to dummy up because the old man was trying to get a few hours sleep between leaving one job and going to another. You dare not be a fuck up and God rest your soul if the Police dragged you home because it would definitely be all about you and your ass for weeks to come. Can you imagine getting your ass kicked by your parents? Then Sunday dinner after your grandparents finished with you, all of your uncles would be pulling up slamming on brakes and double parking to come in and kick a pocket in your ass? School never looked so good on Monday morning...

You see, American society got soft and people were rewarded for not getting off that ass & going to work.

As one poster said, "we miss old school."

The legacy chasing kleptocratic-democratic libs cum trotskyites have ruined this city... Hopefully the rest of the country is made of much sterner stuff and can resist the "enchanting musick and magick odours" waifting from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. by way of 121 N. LaSalle St.

The Police get it... The old schoolers get it too...

Listen, our neighborhood had dirty cops too. And everyone knew who they were. But you know what, eventually they all got what was coming to them, as it should be.

In any organization, you will have a percentage of losers, but that shouldn't tarnish the reputations or mission of most of them. The cops my family grew up with were neighborhood guys who wanted to make a difference. And they did. They stood for something everyone should aspire to, led by example, had a positive impact on all of us and re-directed a few lives in the meantime. I just hope they are all enjoying a nice retirement or better.

Scum hangs with scum and they all end up the same way. No loss there.
