City Hall Cover Story
It's amazing that City Hall has a cover story all set up for Jackie Heard's House of Pharmaceuticals and releases it mere hours after our readers break the story before the mainstream media. These paragraphs reek of spin spin spin:
Daley learned of the situation while he was flipping through a stack of reports on properties deemed drug and gang houses. He noticed Heard was listed as the owner of one of them, Heard said.
She could not remember exactly when that happened, but noted that the mayor meets with police officials about once a month to find out which areas of the city are experiencing drug and gang problems.
Mayor Daley flips through stacks of reports? About drug and gang houses? Since when? That paragraph is laughable on it's face. Either Daley is a genius micromanager who knows where every penny, contract and vote is coming and going to or he's a bumbling idiot who answered, "I don't recall" dozens of times at a Federal deposition regarding the Machine. Pick one. But the media really needs to stop covering up the corruption that occurs on a daily basis by accepting these bullshit stories as fact.

If he is that involved to the level of looking at which house the City chould go after because there have been narcotics arrest made in them then he can never claim he does not know anything about the hire truck, min contracting, cost over runs on projects etc.

Speaking of Chicago consistency, did you see that Rio de Janiero was just voted the happiest city in the world. Chicago was ranked the fourth most congested city in the county, and we ranked fifth last year. The disappointed merit candidate asked Rugai why the promotion didn't come considering that a "donation" had ben made to Friends of Rugai. Evidently the Alderman was recorded telling the candidate that the "donation" was not enough.

Not B.S. that Daley reads through the reports from the drug and gang house enforcement unit every month. I worked in that unit and the biggest pain was getting ready for the monthly mayor's meeting. I never attended the meetings (not high enough) but always heard they were quite...lively, filled with rants.
Just imagine how many other political insider's properties qualify for this ordinance? The city could virtually close its budget with the seizure of these buildings.With of course the "Inside" guy's approval.

Spend millions to make shitty students average while ignoring good students who you could make exemplary. Maybe the money would be better spent on kids that go to school and that actually want to be doctors when they grow up.
Pookie and TeTe don't give a shit about school and neither do their parents, that's why they are "high risk". The only thing they are at high risk for is being shot by rival gang members... hopefully.
I really don't have much of a problem with some of it. I do think that Daley lied when he said he read it in a report. Thats is buklk shit. But I can believe that they didn't know before they reanted the unit to that person that they were drug dealers. And if they moved in around January it would take a while to get them out of there. Once they were arrested you can go to court to start the eviction process. But until then it was just people being suspicous about them. But I do have a problem with the husband being an Executive for a city agency. Do you think that his wife got him that job.
Also I have more of a problem with the AUNT BEA situation. It was the person that was living with her daughtewr in B.C.'s unit. She should be directly responsible for what goes on in a unit in her name.
I own a few units and it would take time to prove that something illegal was going on. Who knows it might have been the heards that tip off the police, but the police won't release that info so that bangers don't try to retaliate. But if my son was living in MY building and his roommate got caught. I should be held to a higher standard. Besides seeing as thou I am only a blue shirt I am sure that I would be out of a job if that was to happen. So my sons will never live in any of my units.
I wonder if Dart will take his time to evict Heards tennant as he has with all the others in order to get headlines.

I'm surprised no one mentioned how the head of the City's Olympic Committee said that traffic congestion in the city will be reduced by 50% by the time of the Olympics.
Since there is a tremendous amount of traffic, even on the weekends in this city, I can't understand how they plan to reduce traffic congestion by 50%. This town can't handle the traffic it has. No matter what time you are on the expressways, there is appreciable traffic. It is terrible.
The only thing I can think of is that they will institute some kind of fee to use the expressways. If they do that, how are we supposed to get to work? Take side streets? Why should anyone be forced to ruin their cars transmission by driving on side streets just so we can have an Olympics which will cost us more and bring nothing to the average tax paying citizen?
I hope I am wrong.

By my calculations he is correct that the traffic congestion will be way down. Have you ever been to Detroit lately? It's a ghost town. And when the people move out and live elsewhere the traffic will go along with them. By 2016 Daley will have screwed this city into the groud and there will be nobody left here.
