- I posted this last night and thought you might be interested in facts rather than innuendo.
The senior corporation counsel for drug and gang house enforcement is out today inspecting a property at at 5319 W. Adams. The owners of the property are Jackie Heard and her husband Henry L Bassett.
Henry Bassett is an exec with the CHA. The home is being used as the base for large quantity narcotic sales. The house was submitted for drug and gang house prosecution after a search warrant was executed there and narcotics recovered. The mayors office is in a tizzy wanting this one to go away fast! This case will go to Administrative hearings. I will let you know when the case is heading there.

Who locked up Kevin O'Brien for PCS?
Kevin O'Brien is the husband of P.J. Cullerton, the 38th Ward Democratic Committeeman. Kevin O'Brien works at the Cook County Assessors Office, the same place he was arrested at. Kevin apparently likes the cocaine.
P.J. Cullerton is running for 10th District Illinois State Senator against 41st Ward Alderman Brian Doherty.
The 10th District Illinois State Senate seat occupied by retiring Senator James DeLeo. James DeLeo is part of retiring 36th Ward Alderman William Banks organization. Rumor has it that DeLeo is soon to be Federally indicted, along with Banks.
41st Ward Alderman Brian Doherty is the Alderman who got drunk and fell down his basement stairs while on a bender. Alderman Doherty beat the responding CFD paramedics silly while half out of it.
Isn't it amazing that all of the misconduct of our elected officials manages to stay out of the media spotlight?

My bust-out brother-in-law has been an on again, off again crackhead and 5319 Adams is where my sister unknowingly would drive him "to meet friends from work to borrow tools". Turns out he finally confessed during an intervention that that building is where he was going to pick up 100-200 crack rocks at a time (a couple times a week) to bring back to Naperville. He was collecting money/orders from all of his asshole friends that were also crackheads and buying in bulk, so to speak. He's been doing this for at least 3 to 3 and a half years. I always knew he was up to no good, especially when he never left with or came home with any tools.
A former DC in 015, (Leroy), sent me and my tact team to shag some squatters out of a building that may or may not be the one described above. Afterward, he called me into the office and said the wrong ones were tossed out. A woman, that may or may not be the one named above, was there with him (wink, wink). She owned the place. The low life dopers were her tenants. She wanted some other people tossed from their apt.
Told it was a civil situation, she looked at the DC and he told me to be creative. So, we got the only decent residents out of the crack house, and when the CR came in, the DC hung us out to dry. Fortunately, the complainants disappeared and the beef went not sustained.
Many a slum or rotting dope house in this town, is owned by people who have the ability and the funds to clean them up. But why should they? Usually, the inspectors are steered away from THOSE buildings.
Ahhh, America! What a country!
