I heard a rumor regarding everybody's 19th Ward Chinaman (can I use that term or has it been put into politically correct storage along with retard?)and her visits to 219 S. Dearborn.
It seems one of her 19th Ward party planners was promised a merit promotion.
When it didn't come he/she got wired up and went to Rugai's office. The disappointed merit candidate asked Rugai why the promotion didn't come considering that a "donation" had ben made to Friends of Rugai. Evidently the Alderman was recorded telling the candidate that the "donation" was not enough.
Tee Hee.
This should be interesting.
Given the largish amount of promotions that seem to come out of the 19th Ward, it would seem that a whole bunch of people might be sweating at being squeezed by the feds.

Have worked African Festival in Washington Park the last few days. Great people in attendance. Mostly black...some white. So far, no instances. Actually, haven't even seen a knucklehead. These are the people we are working for!!! I doubt they are the ones posting on scumtimes blog about how much they hate us...but if so...correct me.
Thats crazy! There should be a general order as to how much a donation should be and what kind of rank it gets you. Because then one could then take out a home equity loan for the correct amount and go straight to the top. That would clear up any miscommunication!!
Hello out there to all my fellow gang and tac officers. I'm hoping I can count on you now, more then ever, in my dire need. I just got out of a meeting at headquarters where I was slapped with a 45 day suspension and I did absolutely nothing wrong!
Long story short, my fellow tac officers were detailed out to white rapper festival for the day and I was left behind. I decided to take some initiative and serve a warrant. While on top of the roof, my grappling hook went out and I fell a couple stories through the garden window into the PERPS lair. My mace grenade accidentally detonated, so I could barely see anything. A figure approached me, whom I assumed was the offender, so I gave the figure 20 open hand strikes to the face. Little did I know it turned out to be this 80-year old lady that had lived in the building for decades. (Since I was a couple blocks off from the target and I never bothered to actually get a warrant I'm in a bit of hot water, so to speak)
This September 16, a benefit party will be held at the Chuck E Cheese off North Ave. in Melrose Park. 40 dollars for gang and tac, 65 dollars for blue shirts. A warning to the female officers, please do not expect to attend. Long ago I realized that woman cops at police functions are bad news. So please, stay home. Men only! Of course you are all welcome to buy a ticket to help donate to me.
Besides beer and pizza, games include: the fifteen block one rock in a sock foot chase, pin the tale on the donkey, bobbing for dime-bags, frisk 101, spin-the-bottle, and Call your Alderman!
Raffle Prizes are: the complete "The Shield" dvd set, a used yellow thong worn by me, a signed PAR form by Depudy D. to go to whatever unit you want, flamethrower, a get out of callback free card, and a one week course with personnel instructer J-fed!
Plus, there will be a live magic show performed by everybody's favorite tactical Lt., Johnny G.!

After I stopped laughing when I read this post I thought about all the people in my neighborhood that are City workers that have kissed her ring. While the majority of them are Streets & San I can think of more than a few Police and Fire that have asked for help from Ginger.
With twenty years in Mt. Greenwood and now Beverly I can honestly thinl of only a few (maybe 2 or 3) that have actually gotten something from the 19th Ward that equaled what "they gave $$$"

I just wanted to say that I received a letter from COZZI today. I sent him a card a few weeks back. If you could let people know he would like news from Chicago, like papers, magazines etc. He said it's bad, and I believe him. He's just doing what he can to get by. I wrote previously that all Department promotions should be on eBay. That way it is the fairest it can possibly be. High bidder wins and we all know who bid what. If you have the dough, you get the promotion. What could be simpler or more fair in our capitalist society than high bidder wins?

Want to know why you had such a pleasant experience at African Fest? Because the patrons had to pay to get in...$10 in advance, $15 at the gate. FSLA time is not comp time, it has a specific definition of what/how it is accumulated. And FSLA time cannot be denied time. That is why they're not going to let you carry hundreds of hours on the books.

What the City has done is they found a way to negate the entire FOP lawsuit regarding the FLSA time and the City being required to honor requests to use time due if it is FLSA time. There simply will be NO FLSA time on anyone's books past one period.
Officer will simply be paid off each month for any accumulated FLSA time. Doesn't matter then if you check money or time, if it comes under FLSA, such as for court, and the officer's FLSA hours exceeds 171 hours per 28 day period, you will be paid. Period. And the FOP can file another suit but the Department will claim they are complying with Federal Law.
That would appear to be a checkmate for the City on the FLSA issue. Shortshanks must be giggling in his gin over that one.
Now go out and generate some activity, shut up and like it and be glad you have a job and be prepared to have our pension fund invest in Olympic Village.

That 6K would have been returned to him many, many times, and would have continued to be repeatedly returned to him until he headed for the great beyond, however, morally speaking, it was the right move. Read the following case. The appeallate judges blasted Shadur for overturning a jury's verdict by declaring the officer's testimony was perjury. Shadur then held a second trial where he banned police from testifying. The jury, of course, found for the defendants and awarded them money damages.
Thankfully, the case was overturned and, hopefully, this one will also be overturned.
Federal judges are lifetime appointees and have enormous power. Especially ones that have been on the bench since 1980.
The only way to attack such power is public exposure of an obviously grossly biased judge.
Let future juries know how unfair federal judges are.

I heard from someone in the know that anyone who has in excess of 480 Hours of Comp Time will be given mandatory vacations in the dead of winter in accordance with the recent court decision. I guess because FLSA hours weren't differentiated as to when you used them or not all personnel with excess of 480 Hours comp time will be given mandatory vacations in the middle of winter.
All of those that have more than 480 hours on the books get ready for annual January-April Vacations each year.
I heard from my contact that each employee that has more than 480 hours on the books will be required to use 120 hours a year until they get under 480 between January 2-April 30.
To those that have all that time, enjoy your time off.
I don't know how they came up with the 480 hours but that is the number that is being cited.

No dummy, FLSA hours start after you WORKED 171 hours in a pay period. If you work Every day that you are scheduled and take NO Comptime or holiday and you work only 11 hours of overtime in that period, you get paid for all hours over 11. It is not 171 hours of overtime. You work 160 hours during a police period. Pay attention and try not to confuse yourself.

What an idiot...you and your uncle. Our GI's went to Europe and the Pacific to fight fascism....the opposite of socialism. Socialism was the enemny in the COLD War....the non-military stalemate between communism and democracy that ran from 1946-1989, starting with the Berlin Airlift and ending with the East German wall being dismantled. Sometimes I wonder if you people make up these stories...I sure in the hell hope you do because if he was fighting socialism he must have been pretty fcking lonely.
By the way...just who in the hell is attacking the Christian faith....you must not live in Chicago and see how all the churches, of all faiths and races, are packed with good people every weekend. Perhaps you are too busy fighting the dreaded, though absolete socialism.
