The bad part is now that Elmer is commander, Lucio (fancy hair) Martinez might return to 21. Midnite people in 2 should be happy if he does. Time will tell.

These were all very good moves on the part of our Superintendent. He seems to finally be getting the swing of things and is learning which bosses are the right ones to lead. By the way, the 3 hour combat firearm training course where everyone has to shoot at cutouts made to look like the bad guys is now mandatory folks. If you don't take the course you will be written up, so everyone better show up. Yes, especially you rusty barreled Detectives. You've all been warned.

Randy isn't going anywhere, he can stay in 018 and brood over why he didn't ride the rocket up with his old buddy Dan Dugan. An obviously unhappy person he also has no respect from the troops.
As for midnight Mary the 3rd Watch Capt. isn't going to let his squeeze get launched; at least not until he is done with her.
Except for Randy and Mary, 018 is getting back to being a great place to work. Thank God Steve Georges is gone. He is Special Functions micro management specialist now. He is digging his fingers into everything there giving headaches to Marine and Mounted Units.

I am so happy for these obvious well deserved promotions. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy as I ride around in my beat car. It is just too bad I didn't have the foresight to marry one of their sisters so I could do better on promotional exams.
With the exception of Hector Rodriguez ( who is the son-in-law of a very PROMINENT chicago politician)all WHITE males were promoted. This is the first step to getting this second rate department back on track. Unfortunately he left the Cancerous Crumpster in 003, Crazy Carter in 004, and "So what that I sell drugs out of my apartment" Cuello. Once all the bottom scum and aldercreature favorites are gone we might be able to start doing some policing around here.

For your information 12:31, Ken Angarone had nothing to do with the "racially charged portrait" that was displayed in the 015th District. It was done by a law school buddy of John Jemillo the First Deputy at the time. This is the same guy that Jemillo covered for every time he was sparred while Jemillo was Deputy Chief of Area Five Patrol.
Ken and his partner, Tim Fallon, were dumped from the tac team by Sandford Neal because they were White. They were both on Sgt. Eddie King's (later Chief) team and were great cops.
Hey Kenny if you happen to read this congrats. And Tony Riccio congrats to you as well. You will be missed by the resident Police personnel in 016.

Due to the incompetence of the Superintendent and his staff (like Hamilton, Bill Bradley, Mike Masters, Dugan, Kevin Ryan, Beatrice Cuello, all the FBI people that have NO CLUE about urban policing) we are stuck with uninformed people making very bad decisions. The only people suffering are the police and the citizens. JPud and crew will be leaving here for good next year. Look and see who stays after they suck out the FBI pension and our tax paying dollars, while we have no contract and you pay every last one of them over $100,000.00 a year and that idiot Superintendent $300,000.00 a year. Some of these promotions are well deserved. Angarone and McNaughton are two who definitely should be commanders. I don't know the others, but it's like reverse merit. 30% of the commanders seem to make it on ability.

Must be heavy as whale shit to get moved up and around like he has...we'll see if his "street tactics" expertise can handle the ridiculous amount of CAPS-related crap that the fine citizens of Bridgeport are going to rain down on him. Its funny how you first said he was a racist, then he was arrogant, then he was a hard ass, then he chased women, then you said he was only out for himself, then you said he never worked the street and you even tried to give him another nick name a few months ago, please let it go. Commander Eric Carter is one of the most professional and stand up guys I have ever met. Being a Marine and having worked with some of the best members of CPD of all ranks, I know a great guy when I not only meet him, when I take the time to talk to him, review and oversee decisions he has made and last but not least, I look into his/her personal life. You can't think of anymore BS, now you are trying to get a rhyming name (you three year old) Crazy Carter. Crazy he is not. Look up the definition. You and your crazy girlfriend (YW, who was psyched by the department and has spent time in a mental ward for erratic behavior and depression) who I was surprised to say he really did date in his younger days, are filled with major anger and jealousy. Get a life and move on. I am sure as his days go on and on and on as a COMMANDER, he can really care less about what you do, what you say and what you think. I on the other hand enjoy reading this blog and finding out some interesting information that many oversee because it is not tainted with BS, cursing and the demise of another person.
To all the newly promoted Commanders of this week and those that were moved to do bigger and better things, good luck. I was a ppo in 023 when Ken Angarrone was a FTO. What a great guy. I wished he had been my FTO as did every other PPO in the district. He was a great guy then and I'm sure he's one of the last bosses left who know the job and have the balls to do the job. I know he will be respected and loved in 018. Congrats!

Good to see you up and early to respond to all of your crticism's as opposed to doing any work Crazy Carter.
I'll be more than happy to support the bosses once they put someone competent in there.
Dave Jarmusz will be good for 009. He is an honest and fair guy. The only problem with that is this; he is the kind of guy that will do work along side you. When I say that is a problem, well, who wants to have their commander along side of them. I sure don't.
He will be the first through the door, he will do traffic stops, and go in on hot calls. He will inspect you for summer and winter, he will have gun inspection on Wednesday (or whatever the order says you are to conduct them) and he will get on the Sgt's and Lt's if he thinks they need some straightening out. If he wants something done he will tell the Sgt and he may or may not check to see if what he wanted done was actually done. He will show up at roll call on midnights on Christmas Eve. And he will demand you give 8 hours because that is what you signed on to do.
I see Dave Jarmusz checking out a ticket book and writing parkers, if he thinks his guy's are too busy to do that themselves.
He is a good cop that knows the law, knows how to "skirt around" problems to get things done.
He will not tolerate laziness, drunkenness, and any and all things that make him or his district look bad.
If your a worker, you should not have any problems. If your a dog ass then he will call you on it because, doing police is again, what you signed on to do.
I read this list and everyday there is always a comment that "I ain't gonna do nothing anymore." "Fuck these bosses, they don't know what real police work is like." "If they had to do any kind of police work they would see what it is like."
News flash, Jarmusz has done the work, has put in the street time and to be honest and if I know Jarmusz, he isn't done doing police work. He isn't done locking up gang bangers. And speaking of gang bangers, he has put away a shit load of bangers. He was assigned to 009 when he was in Gang South so don't try to snow him and think your going to bull-shit him when it comes to the 009 gangs.
Having said that, get ready because those that don't work, will have to start if they want to stay. Those that are still doing their 8 for 8 won't have to worry, Jarmusz will see who you are and make a mental not of it and give you your kudo's at the appropriate time.
Just give the guy a chance...... he is a good fit for 009.
