Reminder for Wednesday
Reprinting the 14 September posting for the Memorial vandals:
- New court date is 23 September at Branch 42-2 (0900 Call) at Belmont and Western.
Over 70 cops and CPMF members and concerned friends showed up at Court last week. When the case was called, the defendants nearly shit a brick.
We're going to need the same or better in just over a week. If you have an appearance scheduled, stick around. If you finish your shift and aren't going to sleep right away, stop by. If you're retired and have a free moment, welcome one and all.
We'd like to see a larger showing than last appearance. And if it gets continued again, an even bigger showing to let the judge know we aren't going away.

On furlough, but coming along with several relatives. A friend's name is on that wall and we want to see these POSs pay.

j-fed, as i sit here and ponder my situation i have come to the conclusion that you are an A number 1 asshole of the highest degree... as a young officer you learn to roll with the punches, you win some and lose some but you always give it your best effort no matter what the outcome may be--- when you put that third bar on your sleeve you are a little more jaded and may have slowed down a bit--- as the wise old copper sits in that squad car when it is 30 below hoping he doesn't get a 99b or fire call you come to the realization that you can only respect others who have walked in your footsteps and faced death many times over--- you don't have to say a word, it is merely a look between two warriors that distinguishes men who have proven that they have what it takes and men who will never show any testicular fortitude on this planet--- j-fed, you are a ball less yellow bellied poor excuse for a peace officer and you bring discredit to the department and yourself while masquerading as something you will never be in this lifetime--- you owe my friend and fellow peace officer william cozzi an apology for what you did to him and his family and you also owe an apology to everyone in the patrol division for letting a team member down--- before you are run out of town do you have the balls to admit you were wrong with the handling of the bill cozzi situation, probably not.....
Here's hoping the judge doesn't grant ANOTHER continuance!
On the subject of judges, I found this long but REALLY interesting explanation about how Ed Burke and the Democratic committeemen slate their candidates for judgeships. It includes references to phony candidates being slated to siphon off votes from "unapproved" hopefuls, and lots of other dirt!

The over-time Chicago police security detail assigned to guard President Barack Obama's Kenwood mansion since shortly after his election will end as of Oct. 1, department officials said today.

Between the useless state's attorneys in 42-2 that treat the Police like sh*t, but suck hole when a sh*thead former prosecutor/ now dope boy private attorney comes in and the Female Judge sitting in for Deboni I doubt much will get accomplished. They are not your friends. Deboni on the other hand treats these ASA and PD puppies like they should be treated.
I heard a states attorney try to tell a P.O. who just had a perfectly good positive SW thrown out by Judge O’Donnell, without the Defense even asking one question in cross examination, he said that this judge throws out any cases with small amounts recovered. And he continued to say he spoke with several other civil rights attorneys that when a case is thrown out of preliminary hearing only because of weight that you cannot be sued civilly. I beg to differ with this lad and would like an informal survey of how many times this is occurring citywide...
Hey SCC do you think you could start a post on how many cases where you only legitly recovered .4gms and because of case being thrown out in prelim it resulted in a false arrest civil suit...

It is AMAZING what can be accomplished when PEOPLE STAND TOGETHER. As part of the Increased Bond for this trio, 2 cannot go ANYWHERE but to and from school and the Male participant in this caper CANNOT GO ANYWHERE(you read right) ANYWHERE until the next court date. The crowd,many more than last time,was admonished by the Glorified Security oops I mean BAILIFFS that if they stood(which we ALL did last time) they would be held in contempt so all sat. I lined the wall along with many many others and was AGAIN proud to stand for something along with those from the CPD that stood.
on 14 OCT 09 (please correct if Im wrong) at 0900. We WILL be back. A heads up was passed along to 009 about the male tagger and his term of bond as well. THANK YOU to all the Advocates,Caps People,and of course the Chicago Police that showed up. I know at least 12 are looking down smiling on what we all did today.

OT but, ran across 2 guys from 010 today that pitched an idea and I would like to pose this to the general consensus:
Know what a pain in the ass it is going from your house @ 111th to br-29? yes we all do. The idea pitched by a PO from 010 is to have the court held in the courthouse closest to the PO. (determined by zip code so as to protect PO identity)It doesnt matter how far it is from the offender.This is to accommodate the Officer. This COULD work because:
a. incentive for arrest
b. convenient to the PO
c. INCONVENIENT to the offender
d. Arrests will increase,bosses
will be happy.
e. REPEAT OFFENSES may diminish.
Im not sure how to go about this BUT Im going to push the idea with whom I can. What I would like is input good or bad from the general membership.Ways to do this,critiques,or go to people.
I know its not much but if this flys I personally think it will be a good thing. Your help is appreciated.

They've been doing it this way for many years. This is nothing new. Read what Burke says, back in the day it was easier, Richard J. Daley just handed them a list of who got slated. Period. This is democracy in action compared to the old days when 'da mare just decreed who got slated like he was a fucking king.
This is why France made good use of the guillotine. They took people like those who call themselves our elected leaders and they loped off their heads in public. The trouble is you need to do that regularly. Once is never enough. New evil bastards sprout up to take their place.
Leaders are like socks and underwear, they all need to be changed often.
