Passing the Time

The guys over at TheExpiredMeter.com had a bit of fun with this picture:

Channel 2 picked up on the story. It seems that most of the tickets were written by Streets and Sanitation supervisors for street cleaning violations and the Department of Revenue who ordered a tow from the wrong address and then forgot about it. The district wrote a few tickets, too, but seeing the tow numbers written on the car, probably assumed the tow had been ordered.

We're pretty sure most cops have a certain area, a certain block, maybe even a certain car they zero in on for a short time and just tag it for days on end to pass the time.

Pardon our laughter, but this is funny as hell.

Off Topic: Okay, the 15th has come and gone.

Who retired by the COLA deadline?
(Maybe those openings in 003 can be filled now?)

I'll bet that if Shortshanks saw this he had an "orgasm" in his wallet. This is what he'd love to see city wide.

SCC,

I think that you and the Parking Ticket Geek are both good for Chicago.

...Much better than the mayor and his alderfreaks.

Keep up the good work.

Hey, don't laugh! Someone got a meritorious promotion out of repeatedly ticketing a car (and not bothering to run the plate) from the Andrew Cunanan caper!

Im sorry... is there an order saying how many times a vehicle can be ticketed before "MERCY" is given??? I have written a vehicle multiple citations on different days did I do something wrong?? I would order a tow for abandoned vehicle but from my understanding, unless it is hazardous, only the worthless CAPS office can order a tow for abandoned and we all know how much work gets done by those do nothings! So sorry, channel 2, I see nothing wrong with this! Perhaps the owner of the vehicle should have made right whatever was wrong with the vehicle... And if it is truly abandoned, then why is this news??? And by the way... IMAGINE if a cop had so many outstanding tickets! OOOOOOO DADDY! Now THAT would be news, RIGHT!?!?!

These dummies should know that this is an "activity car." You find one on the beat that's been abandoned and plaster it with tickets. You get the "activity." Daley gets nada!

that looks like the car sgt. OD from 025 made merit sgt. from. She covered it with tickets then was told to run the plate by her supervisor, because, well it may be stolen. Low and behold it was, by andrew cunanan. Lets make her a merit sgt. because that was some great police work by her supervisor. this job is a joke. she is a great supervisor as long as somebody isnt hanging in lock-up dead, oh no what do i do? I better ask for time on the end, and not say a word to the WC, maybe it was a bad dream and i will wake up and the former chief of Det. MM, will make me a merit LT. like she promised me. This job is legit boys and girls.

Now watch, they'll discover a dessicated corpse in the trunk when they finally do tow it.

Doh!

So you are so smart that you never have a question about something thrown at you for the first time. She is an outstanding Sgt. merit or not, she has NEVER thrown a P.O. under the bus. She handles all her beefs with P.O.'s one on one,can you say that about our so called earned white shirts. The parking ticket may have gotten her noticed but she still had to pass all the tests. Your a mindless moron. How can you bash someone who is on our side. who cares how she got her stripes, judge her for how she treats the troops. I have seen her go to bat for P.O.'s on numerous occasions. With all the dog ass, piece of shit, suck up to the boss no matter how many P.O.'s they step on white shirts we have on this job, you bash one of the best. FUCK YOU!!!

"Berteau" and Carmen run the same direction, about 1.5 miles apart. What is an "amudsen"?

Where is your info coming from?

absolutely true, bubble butt made merit sgt by writing a parker on vehicle used by killer of migglin(sic) real estate guy---- she used to carry a milk crate with her on traffic stops so she could stand on it when talking to traffic violators... how pathetic--- the copper with hundreds of felony arrests is still wearing a blue shirt and boo boo the fool gets a merit spot for being an idiot....

11/17/2009 01:03:00 AM Good people? Hell, while working the desk she'll tell beefers how to get a CR# on a cop. "Now if the officer said something sort of racist I'll get the # for you"

Just for shits and giggles I looked that car up on the DOR site.

90% of the parkers were issued from CPD. 6 tickets from PEAs.

About 7500 in Fines, all the way back to September.
