Provocation or Prediction?

From the comments:
  • William Banks- former Alderman- 36th Ward

    Brian Doherty- Alderman- 41st Ward

James A. DeLeo- State Senator-10th District

    To be INDICTED shortly...
Banks left awfully quickly around the time Ike was revealed to be wearing a wire. Doherty is a bit of a joke. DeLeo has been neck deep in all sorts of questionable stuff, spotlighted on and off by John Kass.

No one would be surprised if there was an indictment sealed awaiting release on Banks or DeLeo. Doherty though? He's got different problems.

Still, it'd be nice to see Ike take a few of his fellows down with him.

oh please yes DeLEO and Banks probably do have the fed issue but Brian my god hell no! And why would you even put those guys together. What has Brian done but go out and have some drinks. No different than any other officer. Lay off the guy what has he done something bad for you what not given you a garbage can or something. Brian has always been on the CPD'S side! So he drinks WHO THE FUCK CARES! So does 95% of this department. Get a life!!! And pick on someone who is well deserving like 90% of the democrats running this City, County and State as well as the Country!

DeLeo is stepping down too. Doherty is stepping down from the Alderman position and has brokered a deal with Mulroe in the State Senate race.

Things are not what they seem to be in Illinois.

WHEN WILL THEY INDICT DALEY?

There is a buzz going around that the mayor wants to sell off even more of Chicago before leaving office.

The Going Out of Business Sale may become a Fire Sale while the building is still burning.

He may retry to sell Midway and the Water Department in such a way as to bypass all controls and oversights at the last moment before leaving office. Remember this is the sneaky man who destroyed Meiggs Field in the middle of the night.

Another rumor from the offices is that there is a possibility of selling the city's museums to a private operating company. If they gain control of the facilities, they can charge whatever they want, just like the parking meters. A visit to the Art Institute, the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium or the Museum of Science and Industry is expensive enough as it is for working people.

If they get control of the collections, they can sell them off. The art of the Art Institute could be parceled out to the Chinese, the Russians and the Arabs.

You will know that something is coming down on Shortshanks if Obama announces that he is moving the family home to Hawaii, his supposed birthplace.

I'd like to see Doherty's precinct captain, the bald eagle, do some work once in a while. This schmoe's act consists of guarding Little Caesar's office, answering the phone, ferreting away the vehicle keys, reading the paper, and playing on the computer.

Must be nice to have a Tony Soprano job.

Willie the Whale. Coat-holder. Please stop going to the CAPS meetings and pretending to be Banks' guy in your 'after-career.' Enough is enough, slither off to the nursing home. Oh, and spend some money from all those 'hours' you cashed in. With any luck you have a speaking part in this act of the play! What a stellar example of our department's misery you are, all the way up to City Hall.

Wrote Deleo half a dozen movers 30 years ago as he was an arrogant prick then working for the county and it took 2 miles to catch his insanely driving ass. He said they would disappear and he was right but I figured as I wrote them it would cost him a favor. Been disappointed watching his shitty career progress. Would like to see him catch some time on the end.

Well, let the indictments begin shall we? Daley needs a louisiana sweathole not Cozzi, as he has been beating and cheating his citizens regularly for many years without remorse. A daley indictment would be too detrimental to Obama right now because of their cozy relationship, so he wont let it happen till he gets voted out too. Indicting his kid and vaneko would be nice now though.

"Whitey Bulger" Daley will call in a "favor" and "just like that, it's gone!" With Obama in office, "Whitey" has unlimited favors to use! Ike will be back in Streets and San 18 months from now after he "shaves" off some time by joining "AA" in the "pen", "the Laski" trick and all will be forgiven! Nothing stays in the news long in Chicago, someone else will take their "turn in the barrel" and this will all go away!

I would just like to know how DeLeo tore down the house next to his and built a inground pool and a poolhouse on the property? Oh thats right he got a hold of Ald Banks who was the head of zoning and happened to be his alderman. It's all legit right? Seriously his house looks like Tony Sopranos. Inground pool and all!

Your blog said that the government always wins Federal criminal cases because they move at the speed of a glacier (or words to that effect). That is very often true, I think.

One of the cable channels said in a program that Federal inmates are divided into two groups: those that cooperated with the government and those that wish they did.

You must be a drinking buddy of our alkie Alderman Brian Doherty. He’s had a close relationship with both Banks and DeLeo for nearly 20 years. If he is not indicted by November, he will lose his race to John Mulroe for senate. When he tries to run again for Alderman, he will lose to Committeeman Mary O’Connor. Either way, Doherty will be gone.
What has Brian done, you ask? Well, off the top of my head:
Numerous bar room fights.
Assaulting a Chicago Fire Department EMT after a drunken plunge down his stairs.
Drunk driving, caught on tape
Telling constituents to “Get the Fuck Out Of My Office”
Unresponsive and rude office staff
He’s an embarrassment to the entire 41st ward

An Alderman impaired by an alcohol addiction is ineffective....

Time for rehab...

Those of us that live in the 41st Ward know it is more than a "few drinks"

Would not be surprized by an indictment either...alcohol addicted people make bad decisions and choices under the influence...

O.T. This afternoon I received a letter from Bill Cozzi thanking me for the Christmas card my wife and I sent to him. He also detailed the terrible conditions at the prison he is in. After reading this, I took a few minutes to recollect and pray for some kind of retribution for Bill, and to wish for bad things for asshole Weis.
Retired and glad.

Anon 4:29 your a clueless. Doherty backed Mulroe when he lost for judge and backed O'Connor in her bid to oust Caparelli. The three of them of thick as thieves.

They are in cahoots. Mulroe lays down in the Senate race so doherty wins and guess who gets appointed to the alderman spot, yup, Mulroe. O'Connor is Mulroe's lapdog and he'd rather continue the zoning shenanigans as alderman and steer people to his own firm.

Win win for all of them

Doherty is an A** H***! He allows a halfway house full of drug addicts and burglars to open next to a licensed residential day care facility, and when the local residents go to his office for help, he gives them the brush-off. Numerous needles and empty baggies are found in the alley behind the house and no response. He has an (R) next to his name, but when was the last time he voted no to anything Daley wanted?

You all can say what you want about Doherty, but, I can say that after I moved into the ward, I needed a second garbage can and after a phone call ( never mentioned that I was a city worker), poof...there was a new can in my alley. I personally don't care either way as to your opinion, but, the one time that I called his office, I got the help that I needed. If you need your alderman more that a few times in 2 years...you may be part of the problem and not part of the solution! Not that the garbage can thing is that important, but, maybe a nice quiet visit to the office or an equally quiet phone call, can get the desired results. As they say...you can catch more bees with honey!

I'm sorry, but I don't think the people of Illinois would be comfortable being represented or even voting for someone with a drinking problem to the extent of Doherty's. It's not even a moral issue. They guy has a problem and can't be trusted. I mean the guy's been phoning in votes for the city council. This guy can pass out on the floor of the senate and press NO when somebody wakes him.
