Safety is the most important thing on the job today. Attacks on police are not to be taken lightly. Use that gun if you have too. That is why you have it. It's not for show. And speaking about attacks on police our own department has attacked some officers with that behaviorial program that the FOP didn't do anything but take the dues from the members. Talk about an attack. Not only do police have to worry about the enemy outside we have to worry about the enemy inside our own department.

Why not attack the police? They'll only charge you with a minor offense. You would get a heavier charge for slapping your wife. So go ahead slap the police.

Good video. Now only if our media showed this, then the public could know what is like to be the police. Then they should show all the shit bags and cracker jack reverands ranting and ravinng that the altar boy didn't have a gun after a police shooting. Also throw a bull shit law suit in the mix, no contract for almost 3yrs, and a few tard ass bosses and one pretty much has the basics to know what it is like.

Off duty po from the suburbs grazed after he was attacked by a hype, while the officer was trying to stop him from stealing. Odpo told him before it got physical he was the police, the piece of shit tried to shoot and murder him again before he left but the gun jammed. Offender in custody. Great response by cpd, thank god he is okay. Offender is a great canidate for the death penalty...if we had it. Of course none of this made the news but the abbate incident was played thousands of times!

to 2/4/10 at 1:57. know what you mean bub. we felt attacked too by the program as we call it. forced to sign a sheet saying we were put in it. forced to submit to a physical. medical technitions took blood and urine samples. how the heck they had permission to go draw blood is beyond us. we told the FOP and they told us they were filing a grievance. they were filing for almost a year, mind you and then the department apologized to some of the officers. we think it was 50 or so. cpd admitted a mistake. the fop decided to have all the apologized officers signing off on the grievance. we didn't sign off on anything and are still waiting for restitution. what kind of union representation is this? what are we paying union dues for? to have fop keep the gift shop open? we are keeping in touch with other officers. some have given up in seeking lawsuits, others are calling daily to fop to keep pressure on getting restitution. other officers are hanging in there.i am surprised this site has nothing to say either then just publishing comments.

off topic: to the copper in the 13th dist that called my station last night and asked the desk sgt to non suit a ticket that my partner wrote to your play brother. first of all he drove thru a stop sign at 20 miles an hour while talking on his cell phone. he was cited for both. and then when the desk sgt informed you that they would not non suit the ticket you stated that you will tell your play brother how to get a c.r. number on the officers for talking rude to him and that you would make sure he would get the c.r. number. well you have my partners name and star. and my star number is #4776 you can come and talk to me anytime you wish. Now when you get the CR# alleging that you had your gun out. You remember this video. Your to-from should say:

While Investigating a possible felony, R/O initiated a felony street stop of an individual who exhibited the behavior of a violent offender and for the safety of this officer, my partner, and the citizen, (Describe the citizen, the elderly gentleman, the mother and her son etc...), R/O had his weapon trained, in a controlled tactical position, as to control the scene and ensure the safety, and to prevent any violence from occurring.

Note: If you have your long gun what difference does that make whether it's that or your hand gun. Think about it.

Be safe...A South Side Sgt.

Regarding the radio in 006.

Listen for radio traffic before keing the radio. When you do key the radio wait at least a second before talking. There is a short delay before the radio transmits.

There are too many p.o.'s that like to hear themselves talk.
When coding a job you don't have to add a 10 minute synopsis of the job.

When running a name or sending a flash, listen part way through, a second or two, so you can hear if someone is
calling for help.

Basicly keep it short and to the point.

Anybody ever heard of police departments barring an applicant because they were too smart?

Not kidding here. I couldn't believe it when I read it.

I seen a number of prisoners get out of a cuff and attack the shit out of a P.O., run away, been attacked by them myself, headbutted on the way to lockup, ofcr's kicked in the balls, pushed into traffic, a guy in cuffs stole a suburban squad the other day, don't forget about the manacled guy who got the ofcr's guns, made them strip, robbed a bank, crashed, all kinds of shit while handcuffed. Remember handcuffs don't mean shit, you can still get hurt and they still have delivery systems.Be carefull out there!!!!!!

the money the city is paying for making us take bullshit "mandatory" drug screening should be spent on equipment to make our jobs safer. FOP doesn't do shit. why should anyone have to piss into a bottle if their behavior on and off duty is not questionable or problematic? More Liberal government intrusion into our Lives.
VOTE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN IN ALL UPCOMING ELECTIONS. TAKE AMERICA BACK FROM THE

Great job too 008th dist po who caught offender who disarmed and try to kill odpo. I believe the po who caught offender just got off of his ppo status. Way to start your career! This is the kind of arrest that really matters. Oh and it was a beat car!!! Good heavens where were all the specialized units!

way to go # 4776, You and T.O are my heros, Seems to me that the police are forgetting that some of their family members are pieces of work and just because thier Brotha is the man that they can do what they want, now if you wanted to turn the tables, your desk sgt should get a number for conducting unbecoming a police officer and jam him, but thank God you boyz are the real police that you are, take it for what its worth on the face of the stop, I'm sure you were not the aggressors, I will support you boyz forever, a former Gang guy and SOS Buddy, and you know who I am Wayne Feta cheese forever

Sorry to say it but the majority of the public only like the police when they need them. To many people second guess the police now. Its so sickening.

Here in Az. there has been such an amazing outpouring of sympathy and fund raising for the Gilbert police dept. LT killed by a piece of shit with a history of assaulting another officer a few years ago. The respect and and dignity that the police in this state is 100% better than you guys and gals can ever hope to get.

No it wasn't that beat car in 008 that got the shithead in the ODPO shooting, it was an outside unit (who did an outstanding job), but that beat car (813 I believe)with the 2 younger officers did a great job too. One just got off PPO status and the other one I think has 3 years on, but they are 2 hard workers, very good guys, and they did a great job assisting in that arrest. GREAT JOB TB and CK. GREAT JOB TO ALL WHO WERE THERE!!

Regarding Radio Traffic in 006 or anywhere....when running a plate, name or anything, it's NOT necessary to say "F as in" Frank, "T as in" Tom you can just say, Frank, Tom, etc. The system was created to eliminate words and keep the air traffic down. Don't let me hear any more of that. It sounds retarded.

I saw an old video of a Colorado copper riding slow with his pistol in his lap. His left hand on the wheel and his pistol in his right hand...Seems like a great way to get the drop on jagoff cop killers. Shoot through the windshield or any other vehlcle glass if thats what it takes for you to go home in one piece.
