Technical Difficulties

Please Stand By...

UPDATE: The Internet slowed down last night, probably as everyone checked out election results and stuff around news time. That threw a wrench into our ability to moderate comments and articles. We shall resume normal service shortly.

Thanks for your patience and enjoy this music and open post in the meantime (OK, we don't really have music unless you hum a tune to yourself.)

It's G. W. Bush's fault. He's trying to destroy the interweb that Al Gore invented.

Nothing new on the Behaviorial Program Compensation program? We in the know have heard rumours that a guy from Area 1 had Vrdolyak's law firm sue and he got a total compensation award of 18,000.00. A combination of a violation of civil rights and harassment in the workplace or something to that effect. If that is true, fine. I would agree it's a step in the right direction, but why not have other brother and sister cops alerted to this settlement. Why so hush, hush? Comments about the BP have been made, but nothing in the way of the FOP newsletter. And that's the shame. The BP program was designed to " weed out " bad cops but it didn't quite do that. The BP program created an internal program of such a mess that it was shelved. But the reprecussions of all involved can be likened to job discrimination, sexual harrasment, etc. I am surprised that our moral leaders of the department, the rabbi and the catholic priest have not stepped up to the plate and hit at least a base hit. Too much Kool Aid drinking I suppose. Too much TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES? God, forgive them for they do not know what they do. Another round of Kool-Aid please.

O.T. - Just noticed FOP discount site list AT&T as discounting 18% on wireless bill. Does anyone know if this applies if bill is under spouse's name or do I need to open my own account?
