Theft of Mink
If you can't trust the folks at a party for a pawnbroker-turned-lieutenant governor candidate, who can you trust?
- The Sun-Times is reporting pawn shop owner Scott Lee Cohen's election-night party at the Palmer House Hilton had some unexpected guests -- Chicago Police -- who arrived within an hour after Cohen gave his victory speech in the Democratic lieutenant governor's race. Police weren't responding to anything involving steroids or a domestic dispute -- topics that led to Cohen withdrawing Sunday night as Gov. Quinn's running mate.
Instead, police came because of a missing full-length woman's mink coat valued at an estimated $5,000.
When Cohen aides "saw I was calling police, they asked me, 'Please don't do that. It's going to cause negative press,'" said Cecili Tomlin, a Cook County medical examiner's autopsy technician who was at the party with a friend.
An autopsy technician in a $5,000 coat? Whatever. Cohen's 15 minutes seems to be up now and Madigan is taking names for the #2 spot on the ticket. SCC is running a distant 12th seeing as how we are registered Independent.

Did anyone see Walter Jacobson's Perspective on Chanel 2 tonight? He called out Mike Madigan, Dick Durbin, Mayor Daley, and Obama. He said they were all too lazy to go into his background. They didn't seem to care until after he was elected. He said they could have gone through the records first and then told him he couldn't run. They never bothered! Now they are picking name for the new Lt. Governor.
Just vote republican and try and get some of these goofs out of office. I wish someone could put Madigan in his place.

We should check the internet for suspicious transactions. Maybe a some of the deceased went to their graves missing a few internal parts.
Or maybe, someone should check that coat. Maybe the skins it was made of weren't really mink.
On Chicago Tonight - Cohen hinted that me might run as an Independent for Lt. Gov. Heck, I'll vote for him just to f... up Quinn!
Cecili Tomlin is also a pharmacist and works very hard at two jobs. She makes good money at her pharmacist job. Good for her, for several years she worked at CCME and also went to school full time earning her doctor of pharmacy degree. Fur coat? Good. How many police drive Cadillac and Lexus autos? We work hard, we buy what we want. Besides, she probably got that $5,000 coat for $2,000 or less in today's fur market. Very smart young woman.
Why is Madigan choosing the next Lt. Gov? What happened to all the people who voted? Why isn't the next highest vote-getter going to get in?

Anyone wonder whether the coat existed, or if said coat was really a $5,000 mink. Plenty of thrift stores here in Chicago receive fur coats that are then priced around $100 - $250.
Hardly anyone wears a mink coat anymore. Look up and down even Michigan Avenue, nary a mink in sight with exception of a few elderly women.

I met her when I worked the wagon and we still hauled bodies. She and I worked third watch. She worked intake at the ME's office, she took the bodies from the wagons, funeral homes and whoever else dropped bodies off at CCMW.
She went to school during the day and worked afternoons at the ME. I worked CPD third watch and went to school days. It is a common practice except CCMW does not have tuition reimbursement like us, to the best of my knowledge.
So, yes, she "hid" at the ME's like I "hid" on a CPD wagon while going to school. Only she was smart enough to get into a doctor of pharmacology program and snag a job making 6 figures right out of school.
Most wagon men who hauled bodies to the ME from around 2004 - 2007 will remember her. Small woman, good looking, smart, and able to move those stiffs around. The dead ones.
Cohen should have stood his ground, he was elected by the people! Madigan the Pimp wil now gain even more power if that is possible! These guys just go in and take over everything! Daley, Madigan and now, O'Bama! Now Quinn and Madigan can raise taxes so they can give what little is left away to the lazy, homeless,illegal, and non productive citizens who "just can't get a job!" Cohen is no worse than Obama but they were both winners in an election! You really think Quinn and Madigan are the saviours of this state? Are you guys nuts! Cohen could not be any worse than Ryan, Blago, or "Ali Baba Daley and his 50 Thieves!" So if we don't like who's elected we just threaten him to withdraw? That shit belongs in third world countries, not here! Steroids? Arrest the whole WWF! "This whole world, it is exploding!"
