Eeek! Snow!!!

Byrne better keep the streets free and clear of snow over the next day or two. All Shortshanks doesn't need at this moment is a Bilandic flashback:
  • A winter storm watch has been issued for late Monday when up to 10 inches of snow are expected to begin blanketing the area, officials from the National Weather Service said today.

The snow may cover the area over a 24-hour period beginning late Monday, according to the National Weather Service Web site.

Officials said a strong surface low is expected to develop over the Mississippi Valley Monday and make its way into Kentucky by Tuesday and then into Ohio by Wednesday. The low is expected to drop a band of snow over north central Illinois on Tuesday.

Seems like a bunch of senseless panic setting in again. This is still Chicago and it's still February. We get snow. Sometimes we get lots. It's not like we're going to have to pick out a few lieutenants and sergeants to eat if it gets deep.

now that's a recipe for food poisoning if ever there was one, even if you go really heavy on the tabasco.

The 'BIG STORY' will be thousands of workers "Late For Work" while spending hours waiting to jam onto non-existant express buses.

I hope the transit workers jam it into the Mayors Fat Azz!

Why eat Sergeants and Lieutenants?

I suggest recalling Fat Phil to duty, check out the nearest Old Country Buffet, and feeding the entire metropolitan area.

Bon Apetit!

Can you imagine what little Tommy Byrne is like todaY? He invented micromanaging! He probably hasn't slept from the first mention of the storm. He is getting paid well though with that fat police pension and the 160 grand a year as the commish!

Wow, a pontentially crippling
snowfall and most of the CTA is
on hiatus ! That should give
Mayor For Life Daley cause for
concern, but if it happens he
has someone to throw under the
bus or who is willing to fall on
their sword for him. Damm, where
does he find these oopa loopas ?

If I ever had to consume any portion of 95% of my Sergeants or Lieutenants, I'd wind up overdosing on merit and clout. About the only benefit therein would be that the meritcloutorious are usually nice and tender (not to be mistaken with palatable) as a result of never seeing the outside and actually doing police work.

Not to worry, though. I'm sure my body would naturally reject it before I had the opportunity to jam a finger down my throat.

I am not sure how long ago it was...maybe 2003 and once or twice in the 90's when we got hit with serious snow. the plows were scarce, The 2nd watch in 025 would get a list and pick up the 3rd watch guys at home and take them to work and the 3rd would get the 1st and so on, until it was reasonable...it only lasted a day or so but it is just a great memory. what a great crew we had over there then.

My wife has to take the CTA to work, she doesn't drive. Her express bus route was canceled. She just called and is standing on a curb with 20 others waiting for the lone bus that still runs on Ashland.

This fucking city blows! Fuck this goddamned fucking shithole! I cannot wait to get the fuck OUT! My last 9 months will be spent recovering from my knee surgery and visiting my doctor. In Naples, Florida!

May God help the rest of you.
