When I met Mike Masters during his assignment at City Hall, just prior to CPD, he was really a descent person. He looked to work WITH you on ideas, he seemed to really be interested in learning about our city and this department. Once he came over as Chief of Staff I was firstly very very disappointed that the new Superintendent guided by the Mayor, would not have had the decency and respect for us to choose a person who had the history of an officer. Someone who knows this department and the players within. They replaced all top management with idiots and I mean complete idiots. They are now riding on the backs of the young Exempts and forcing them to give up their lives and their families for this bullshit! He has nothing to offer CPD because he does not KNOW CPD. He nor the Superintendent LEARNED this job or experienced the life of an officer nor a regular citizen. They both have no children and get paid enormous salaries as they fuck with the real police or anyone with half a brain that may stand up to this bullshit! They also live in downtown Chicago in secured buildings. How confident are you with just your living arrangements, in the lies and bullshit you spout each day. Your actions show us better than you can tell us!
The sad thing is each day we loose the historical past of CPD and it is replaced with bureaucratic morons and him!
We will never move forward, we will never truly impact crime, we will never create a more peaceful city environment with YOU in this city in any capacity. You MM, Mayor Daley or Jfed!

Old School Bosses who might yell when you did do something stupid, but then told you how to fix it and save your ass.

In regards to 017: If you tell your boss you are brown bagging it and you pull off to a certain location to eat. Who are they to tell you where to dine on your alloted time? I believe you are entitled to that lunch by law.

They have no loyalty to the troops, the city or the people in it and not even to Shortshanks. What could have been a good thing for this department as O.W. Wilson was, and my roots go back that far has been one of the worst.

To know that every PO snickers behind your back (the polite ones at least - the bad ones do it in front of you ). To know that every Boss you talk to doesn't respect you or care what you say. I too met Mike Masters during his assignment at City Hall, prior his coming over to the CPD. You're right, he was really a descent person. He did work WITH the department on ideas, and he was indeed really interested in learning about our city and this department. As Chief of Staff, I don't really see a difference in his interests. He still works hard to improve things for the department. I don't know what he has done wrong to anyone. I've never heard anything concrete. Rumors are just rumors. He is on the side of policemen regardless of what you think. I know this for a fact. And no I do not work for him.

Not true. They regularly speak with all of the above and all of the above offer their advice and knowledge and line their friends/family up for promotion as they do.

That is so true. And Cline played follow the leader and got berated by midget mayor many a time and ate it. All for the money and power to abuse the department with phils kiss ass crew.
What infuriates me is Hilliard started the trend of double and triple merit which led to him promoting exempt with 9 years on the job. Again Cline followed the same trend and added to it by making gang specialist and sgts exempt.
I don't care whether you want them back or not. They have a huge responsibility in the mess we're in. Especially the huge gulp to our pension.

Thats is not true. I am very good friends with a few still and I am too retired. Cline can't stand him and he turned Cline away when he first came to CPD. He also dumped all of the people Cline promoted. Hillard thinks he is an incompetent idiot and has let the Mayor know how he feels. Bill Bradly, keep your lies to yourself!
