68 to 68?

A commentator claims that we are dead even (pun intended) for homicides January through March this year compared to last. This would mean that in the course of a month, the city managed to wipe out a double digit decrease in the homicide rate that J-Failure and company was publicizing all over the media just last month.

That warm weather can be a bitch, can't it?

Manpower, too.

So with the huge shortage in manpower in the detective division and numerous retirements. Whos investigating the crimes. Limited overtime. Plus there hasnt been a dectives class in 2 and half years.

My prediction: by mid-July (or sooner) the ghetto "reverends" will be calling for J-Fed's head on a platter due to the out-of-control shootings and homicides plaguing the inner-city black and Hispanic youth.

It is at precisely this time I will begin boxing-up all the drop guns the city has issued me since calendar year 2010 started, and drive them over to the nearest "Gun Turn In" location.

That's right. This police is finna get paid!

I checked the homicide numbers Sunday before my rdo's and we had 61 homicides this year as opposed to 68 last years. When I came back on Wednesday we have 71 homicides. And the Columbia College student who was found murdered in the river in 004 last month still hasn't been counted. Hands tied behind back, both achilles cut, shot in both knees and one to the dome...I'm sure they're just waiting on the toxicology on that one.

The detectives working that one told me it was the worst case of suicide they had ever seen.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

It's great how the politicians and jfed took over and just made the department implode on itself. People are being killed at their hands of failure. Glad I'm not them trying to sleep.

I've taken the Detectives test 3 times in my career. Finally, this last attempt I scored a respectable score and was ranked near the top.

I am still waiting. My ranking would have me with a detective's star on both previous tests. But now I'll probably never make it because of these criminal assholes (I.E. Daley & his merry band of alderthieves)balancing their budgets on the backs of the police! Promote 800 detectives now!

Shame on this administration for not promoting dets., nothing is getting solved because every dic gets at least 10-15 new cases a day. Times that by a week and closes to 70 plus a week. How can anyone do any decent investigation, and I mean have the case wrapped up in a pretty bow for felony review to approve charges. Nothing gets done, no cc by arrest....just suspend.
