Wikipedia Entry
Someone has updated J-Fled's wiki page:
- On April 6, 2010, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that the Independent Police Review Authority received a complaint charging Weis with "failure to take proper police action." The complainant, retired Chicago Police Sergeant John Northen, called Weis a "coward" who "cut and run" from a shooting incident where a man was killed, instead of responding to assist and support his officers. Weis was holding an outdoor press conference at an intersection in the crime-ridden Englewood District on a recent 26 hour period of violence in Chicago where 41 people were shot with four dead. Four blocks from the shooting incident, Weis abruptly left the media event and reportedly returned to headquarters after the shots rang out.
We didn't even know he had a Wiki page. Belated Congratulations!

Fuck his Wikipedia page. I'd much rather read his letter of resignation.
SCC, I just can't bring myself to attend this years St. Jude march knowing that judy weiss is there, wearing the same uniform as those who died earned. I will however have no problem marching on Sat morning the day before, in honor of those that gave their lives as well as a show of no confidence to that coward.
Also has prior articles linked. From 3/2009 article Also, 180 SUVs the department ordered for districts began arriving Tuesday, and another $6 million in stimulus funds are earmarked for more police vehicles, the department said.
Whatever happened with the $6 mil?
Say what you will about J-FLED being a coward, but he sure loves his cats!

Im sorry. I have no want or desire to be at the St Jude march. God Bless our fallen Officers. I just cant deal with this political crap anymore.
Just as you dont need to go to church to pray, I will celebrate St. Jude at home and spend the day with family and friends in honor of those who have made the ultimate scarifice.
I know I will catch flack on here. But I would rather be honest and say it like it is than go march and want to vomit the whole time.
If we can organize our own thing without all the smoke, mirrors, and all the over inflated ego crap. I will definately be there!
God Bless our fallen Officers.
God Bless our Gold Star Families.
does any of this really surprise anyone? Look who has run the city into the Ground for over 20 years, and the mess we are in now. Folks in bad neighborhoods are all marching in the wrong places against violence. The place to start marching is City Hall, good people, where the real problem lies...

No offense intended but...
Once again some brothers are associating the St. Jude March with J-Fled.
No comparison could be further apart.
Historically, marching at St Jude honors all our departed brothers and sisters.
Show up for the 'right reasons' and let our departed brothers and sisters know that, "We Will Never Let You Walk Alone."
JUST AN IDEA...
If work or family obligations prevent your participation at St. Jude, another event deserves our recognition.
Again this year our Honor Guard will march 24 hours in a row in military fashion (ala Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington) in front of OUR Memorial with an hourly, "Changing of the Guard."
I would hope someone could post the exact date(s) but I believe it's midnight to midnight 28-29 April 2010.
If you can stop and visit during this time, please do so. If you are working, and can just drive by at any hour... 'light up the blue' as you slowly drive past.
It would be a great 'unofficial' additional way to, "Honor Our Fallen."
A symbolic, 24 hr. 'CPD Memorial Drive-By'... yet another way to honor that, "Thin Blue Line."

Can we have our own Wiki Page on the shit squad cars we are forced to drive 8 hours in -vs- the war machine J-Fled get chauffered in?
What else as Officers can we do to demonstrate our feeling of "NO Confidence" with our current leadership? I too cannot stand to see him wear our uniform, especially at St. Jude.
Perhaps like an early poster mentioned, if for once we could all collectively band together, form up the day before and march on our own, it might actually demonstrate to the whole city, just how we all really feel.
The only other way would be to just abstain from St. Jude altogether.
I have always felt strongly about attending, and in over 19 years have not missed one march. My gut feeling however, tells me that the Officers we always march for would want us to do something to show the department how we really feel, and to finally demonstrate that a change needs to me made.
St Jude is not about you, me or jfled. You march for those who sacrificed their lives doing what was right. Don't bring him, Daley, a contract, a backlog etc. Into the equation, do bring the parents, the children, the brothers and sisters in and show them that although all these blowhards forget their loved ones sacrifice we don't. Run the day before in honor of them and walk the next day, it's the least you can do.
Wiki page is like a tombstone , he will never shake this stigma. He's done. He will be sitting on his hillbilly porch soon chewing on a hayseed mumbling "second city fucking cops." He and Burge have a lot in common, hated, but at least Burge was the police.

I understand how you feel but anyone who goes should go for one reason only, to honor those fallen officers and the Gold Star families who lost loved ones. Those loved ones are our comrades still, even in death, we honor them, not our impostor superintendent. We can and will find more ways to show our disgust for jfled, but dishonoring the memory of our fallen colleagues is not one of them.
I go for people I knew in life who now have their names chiseled in granite.
To weis, know this, that as I walk past I do so to honor our fallen comrades. This St Jude event certainly has nothing at all to do with you. I was here before you got here and I very likely will be here after you are gone. Please go soon.
We should not relegate the remembrance of our fallen heroes to just one day. They should be remembered everyday. The bosses used to use the "shame on you for not marching thing" 30 years ago but in reality the only thing they cared about was making them look good and saving their spots. Anyone who remembers CPD's fallen on just one day is doing them a great disservice. Weis and Daley deserve to have their noses rubbed in their shameful behavior. Why not have an alternate march at the Memorial? Let the idiot twins stand in the reviewing stand by the, selves and salute the wind.
I heard that J-Fled has a cat as a pet. Can anyone confirm this? If he does that explains quite a bit about what the man is. There is another designation for a cat that begins with the letter "P." I'll let each of you come to your own conclusion as to where the similarity lays.
