Local Media in the Tank
In case you needed any more proof, there's this:
- The Illinois Senate race is shaping up to be a high-profile and influential campaign that will have national implications. Not only because Illinois is the most populated state in the mid-west, but also because the seat up for grabs is President Obama’s former seat. If Republican candidate Rep. Mark Kirk, were to win the seat it would be seen as an enormous PR loss for the White House.
- Now we have the spectacle of one of the major local stations in Chicago threatening not to cover the campaign if the Republican continues to discuss the most damaging aspect of his opponent’s record. Is this the role of an FCC licensed station, entrusted with the role of serving the public interest in relation to a free-flow of information for the citizenry? Maybe in Chicago it is.
Channel 2 has been backtracking all day over this, but a supposedly "neutral" media outlet saying they won't cover a campaign because that candidate's biggest and strongest issue is that a bank his opponent was the chief loan officer at cost the taxpayers almost $400 million in part because of questionable loans made to Organized Crime figures?
Does anyone want to tell us what would be happening if it was Kirk's bank that failed? Yeah, that's what we thought, too.

Channel 2 and 5 are the worst. Channel 32 -FOX is the best...Although Larry Yellen is a big TOOL! Dane Placo and Jack Mc are very good at asking tough questions. Channel 2 are a bunch of elitist liberals...Fuck them.

So, channel two means to CONTROL the race for this seat? First, they were reporters. Then, they were attractive news readers. Then, they became newsertainment (or entertainews). Now, they mean to overtly influence the story?
At least now we're clear on who and what they really are.

That's not all he lost the taxpayers - just ask anyone who had a Bright Start 529 account and tried to use it to pay for their kid's college tuition last fall. Why do people in the media keep ignoring the fact that Alexi's terribly risky investment strategy in a fund that's supposed to be safe and stable lost that fund MILLIONS?

He's the reason why I haven't watched Fox TV news in over four years-and I don't patronize their sponsors.
Fox tv news ratings is in the toilet with the rest of them I avoid that news program and their sponsors like the plague!

Become informed by listening to conservative talk radio...research the facts yourself if you have doubts. Glenn Beck is on WIND radio from 9AM to 11AM daily. Rush Limbaugh is on WLS radio from 11AM to 2PM daily. Mark Levin is on WLS radio from 9PM to 12 Midnight daily. Read www.freerepublic.com daily for reprinted articles from other newspapers within the USA and nationally...articles the mainstream/govt.-owned media WILL NOT PRINT. Check it out for yourself. Understand that our government is now run by communist/marxist believers...they are destroying/ignoring the Constitution by instituting their own policies and slowly taking away our freedoms, our liberty to choose. Communists in this country have been planning this for some time. Just review the policies that obama has put into place and compare them to the policies put forth by communist/marxist countries such as Cuba, Venezuela and Great Britain to name a few. Read the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights and see who and what we are as citizens of the USA and then compare that to what obama has implemented in this country since he came to power.

I read in the local paper Scott Cohen was making a 7pm appearance at the Erie Cafe to announce he was running for Governor.
I didn't vote for the guy for Lt. Gov. but I made it my business to go to the Erie Café. to ask the guy why anyone should take him seriously. I wanted to tell him, if he didn't have a chance of being elected Lt. Gov., he did have the bully pulpit during the campaign to say things that needed to be said and hold those in the state who have ruined it to address the tough dialogue he was in a position to put forth which the media would be hard pressed to ignore in the midst of a campaign.
I noticed media trucks had pulled up outside. I go outside and see Fox, WBBM and NBC trucks by the park across the street from the bar. There is a small group of people gathered. I walk up to one of the trucks and ask the Reporter in it if they're there for the Cohen appearance. The reply is, "Yes".
Around 7:30pm I mosey back to the Reporter I was talking with earlier and ask him, "What's with this Cohen guy? How busy can he be? Doesn't he respect those of us who made it our business to be here to make it his business to be here when he should be?" Reporter asks, "Did you vote for him?" I said, "No." and I tell him why I came, "I'm pissed. You should be too. Cohen gets you out here and doesn't show? I got things to say. If I call the media up and say meet me somewhere. Will you and the other stations come out? Will you get your camera and interview me?" Reporter laughs.
I move to another Reporter and some of the regular people adjacent to the park. There is a guy in a suit and I find the guy is handing out cards for a group that was called Reform Chicago Now or something like that. In talking to him I learn that he asked Cohen to make the appearance that day. I ask him where is Cohen and he says one of Cohen's people said he was on the way. It's almost eight o'clock and I say to the guy, who are you? Where did you get the money for the cards you're handing out? He says just public donations. There is another Reporter standing next to me and I say, "This Cohen gets you to come out here so the media can interview him after he's dropped out of the race and he's not here on time???? The reporter nods and says something about Cohen may feel slighted and wants T.V. time because he was pressed to drop out of the race because of his hooker girlfriend but Giannoulias and his mob ties don't reach the same level of outrage to jetison Giannoulias from running.
A clean cut looking young guy steps up to me and gives me a flyer that states he's running for Gov. On the flyer it says he's X-Marine. I show it to the second Reporter I was just talking to and I say, "Hey Cohen is a no show. Why don't you interview this guy and broadcast what he has to say about his campaign for Gov?" Much to my surprise the reporter says, "We don't like that guy." Shocked I say, "What? You don't like that guy??" The Reporter says. "I have to be careful what I say, it's not that I don't like him but my Editor doesn't." I say, "Ah yes, the one guy who decides for the rest of us what we should or shouldn't see." The Reporter smiles. I say, “How about interviewing those of us who showed up about how we feel about this loser Cohen being a no show?” The Reporter keeps smiling.
Past 8pm no Cohen and media trucks start to drive off with one stations reporter saying to another, "Hey you guys got a story somewhere?"
I walk off disgusted the media is on the leash of the politicians and thinking about the manufacturing that was around the Erie Café when I was a kid and that Cohen is a shill working for the Combine to make it more likely the vote gets split and the Combine wins.

The obama/government-run media is now making no bones about the fact that they WILL CENSOR what will and will not be reported to the public. Reminiscent of the Nazi Regime, the communists, the socilists, the marxists and their handling of the media. Stop this enemy in the White House by getting out the vote and voting conservative in NOVEMBER. REMEMBER NOVEMER. Conservatives believe in and will uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. obama is destroying this country by trashing the Constitution and instituting communist policies...check out Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," and the Clowerd-Piven Strategy on Google....these are the communist rules of the road to destruction of our country as we know/knew it, and the transformation "Change," into a communist/socialist country. There is no "Hope" where there is communism/socialism. As rahm emanuel has said, "never let a crisis go to waste." Straight out of the communist handbook.
