Suspicious "Substance"?
Officials today were investigating a report of a suspicious substance package at a Chicago police station on the Far South Side.
Officials were called to the Calumet District police station, 727 E. 111th St., at about 5:28 p.m. after something suspicious was discovered at the station, said Chicago Police News Affairs....
We're sure it isn't another glaring security flaw in stations that are more like community centers than actual police facilities.
UPDATE: The hazardous material is supposed to be a tuberculosis infected homeless individual living under the stairs in the lobby. Situation normal. Carry on.

The City of Chicago has been in violation of Federal law for years in reporting and handling TB cases.
If you are exposed to a TB case you MUST do an exposure report and down the car for a cleaning. The lockup that held the TB shithead must also be cleaned and reported.
How many WC's want to deal with closing the lockup and downing a squad car???
tb is an airborne pathogen and exposure is not immediately known to the exposed.
if in doubt stop by st rogers and talk to any er doc about the ramifications of exposure.
the city of chicago will never tell you the truth.
Oh, must of been play cousins with that guy who sleeps in 011.
False alarm. It was just Grape Morale flavored Kool Aid being delivered by the policy group.
Area 2 is the biggest shit hole of all shit holes!!!!!!!
So many kids from Mexico are + for TB.
TB is making a major comeback, all thanks to the illegals, I mean undocumented immigrants. Also, chicken pox, small pox and malaria. Thanx shortshanks, for making us a sanctuary.
The facility is secure except of course for the practice of any asshole off the street walking in and using the bathroom and ATM which are behind the gate or the old guy that has a shoe shine business set up near the 5th district desk INSIDE the secure perimeter. What a fucking joke! In the suburbs you can't get past the front door. In Chicago, come on in, take a shot at the desk crew, whatever...
What newsbreaking threat to the free reign of lawbreakers has the dogged crime-fighting of A/2 caused the Taliban to try to take them out. Nevermind.
Anything, ANYTHING, is possible in Area 2.
