McDonald Decision Monday
Good news widely expected - from the Illinois State Rifle Association website:
- As expected for weeks, the Supreme Court is holding off its ruling in the Second Amendment Foundation’s case against the Chicago handgun ban until the last day of the current session, which is next Monday.
Joining in the case was the Illinois State Rifle Association and four Chicago residents, including Otis McDonald, for whom this sure-to-be-landmark case is named.

In my opinion the NRA gave up on Illinois years ago.
The ISRA and The Second Amendment Foundation are the ones who filed the McDonald vs. City of Chicago lawsuit.
Those are the two I donate money to.
The NRA gives police life memberships for $600. Send them and email for the form. If you know a life member, have them go to the following website and they can get you a life membership for $300.

So, what's the sense of waiting until the last day of the session to release their decision? Do they want to get out of town before the wrath of Daley (and Walter Jacobson) is thrust upon them? Or did the stuttering prick just want his gun ban to last as long as possible before it's found UNCONSTITUTIONAL?
On June 28th, 2010, the number one news story across the U S, (and perhaps the better part of the industrialized nations of planet Earth!), will be that the U S Supreme Court struck down Daley's famous handgun ban in the City of Chicago.
Thank you Mr. Mayor for making this once great City the laughing stock of the planet, and the focus of world ridicule! There will undoubtedly be comparisons made from REAL journalists outside of our City, of our crime rates (high), number of people wounded (we're #1), people murdered (#1 also), and street violence (we're tops there too!) to the number of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan.
So what are we doing so differently here in Chicago, (outside of banning our law abiding citizens from arming themselves for personal protection), that would cause this aberration of criminality and carnage to occur?
How about having a mob influenced city government, (Daley Crime Family).
How about having an inept person in charge who continually appoints questionable talent to oversee critical city Departments (Daley)?
How about appointing someone who has NEVER been a sworn police officer, (Jody Weis), to head the nations 2nd largest police force?
How about appointing someone who was a career police officer and has NEVER had experience in garbage removal, recycling, street maintenance and/or snow removal, (Byrne), to run your Dept of Streets & Sanitation?
How about appointing someone who has NEVER been employed in the field of public transportation, (Huberman) to head the CTA?
How about appointing someone who has NEVER been a school teacher, (Huberman again), to organize the CPS?
I could go on and on and on...
The police pension money & Daley's nephew...
Illegal sewer contract & Daley's son...
Hired truck scandal...
Parking meter giveaway...
Hundreds of million$ $quandered on failed Olympic bid...

Oh please. Daley has zero control over the Supremes. By tradition, they hold the biggest decisions to the end of the term. I'm hoping that means we get a SWEEPING decision, not a narrow one that richie can get around easily.

And the sad truth is, the people of the City of Chicago have only themselves to blame for this, THEY have voted for him OVER and OVER and OVER again. Are there good people in Chicago? Of course. But you cannot overlook the culture of corruption that permeates the city, the county, and the state. I lived there for 12 years, and wish I had left a lot sooner than I did. Wasted years, most of them. Not much way to get ahead unless you know someone or are willing to pay someone. It's not a place for an honest man. Bravo Zulu to the Real Police who soldier on regardless.

Mike Dumke in the Chicago Reader reported today that the Right to Carry Town Hall meeting scheduled for June 30 has been cancelled and the permit revoked by the City.
That means Daley has no regard for the 1st and 2nd Amendments. When are Chicagoans going to wise up? You're being killed because Daley won't let you defend yourselves

I for one hope & pray that the gun band is lifted. But seriously guys do you really think that the murder rate will drop? Most of the killing is happening in a few areas of the city where the shooters and the ones being shot are both packing to begin with. Don't you think. The gangbangers are packing and have to guns. There are not too many innocent people dying. I think what the gun ban will do is bring down some of the other crimes that are being committed in the nice areas of the city. Less buglaries,home invasions, strong arm robberies, and others like that.

That's not really the issue.
Who really cares what the savages do to each other. Or what the murder rate is, for that matter.
All that is important is that the TAX PAYING citizens, already suffering from dwindling police service because the stuttering prick refuses to hire more cops, can live a normal life while the crime spree stays out of the good neighborhoods.
The more shitheads getting shot and/or killed by "good" citizens protecting their homes and families, the better. Make them think twice before trying to rob or burglarize our people. If they get shot trying to commit crimes outside of their turf or comfort zone they will likely stay at home.
