Lakefront Quiet-ish; Englewood Not
At least four people were left dead and 12 wounded in overnight shootings in Chicago, most on the South Side, officials said.
The most recent homicide occurred at 5:06 a.m. this morning, when police said an unidentified man was found dead in the 7900 block of South Ingleside Avenue in the East Chatham neighborhood after being shot in the chest. No other information was available.
Go read the whole list - all south except one. The midnight shortages continue to plague the city and it only gets more obvious as time goes on. Luckily, most decent people of all stripes are in bed overnight and the people being shot aren't exactly pillars of society. Maybe that will be J-Fled's saving grace? Fewer legit victims?

Gee, SCC! Pretty soon we're going to need a calculator to keep track of J-Fled's homicide counts . . .
Let's see, there are the "indoor" versus the "outdoor" murders, then there is Daley's all important "handgun" murders, and now we have south side versus north side murders aka "legit" versus "non-pillar of society" murders.
This last category is probably the most important one to the masses. The average "legit" god-fearing, tax-paying citizen can look at the majority of the south side, gang related drive-by shoot 'em ups and wave them off as just a bunch of ghetto behavior. But if that bullshit were to creep into the "pillar of society" neighborhoods, watch for the outcry then!

You'll notice, all the reverands and aldercreatures have police protection and special details, but not the poor citizens, some of whom are really taxpayers too!
Oh, and lets not forget, most of this violence is caused by the actions of the same people who DEMANDED a reduction in police authority.

The only way 1rst watch could dissapear is if we went to 12 hour days, never going to happen, they will get rid of the Captain position by attrition, Lt.s test will be a thing of the past, and become an appointed position...
