Indianapolis - A Metro police officer is on desk duty after being injured while breaking up a staged fight.
The officer was invited to give a presentation to a church group at Municipal Gardens. Sometime during his talk, two men started to argue in the back of the room. The officer tried to break it up and was thrown to the ground.
"First, it was verbal, then it became physical and the officer doing his duty went to intervene," said FOP President Sgt. William Owensby.
The officer had been asked to teach a lesson on dealing with the police.
"When I first heard it, I thought, 'That is too stupid to be true. There is no way someone is that stupid to stage something like that'," said Sgt. Owensby.
It was a staged fight, one to gauge how a police officer would react. The problem, the police department did not stage the fight, they say a minister from the Mt. Vernon Community Missionary Baptist Church did.
How about instead of working at cross purposes trying to be slick, you work with the police to educate the community. Or would that be too simple?

And now the guy is INJURED?? I'm thinking a charge of reckless conduct or maybe just gross stupidity is in order here. I'd say he has a hell of a civil suit against the rev and the two participants, too.

Sunday morning, stage a robbery during the offering and when the parishioners call 911, no police respond. After a while, stop the staged robbery, say praise the Lord you've been saved and walk the hell out.

501(3)c provision of the tax-exempt
code and make it only availabe to those
reverents who actually build a real
church ediface from the concrete
poured for the foundation to the tip of it's spire.
This should weed out businesses
on the west and southsides that pose as storefront churches.
And start billing the remainders for taxes and water bills.
A preachers's license is a license
to steal and print money.

They only sue the police. They have high standards and morals to maintain. OH wait their spawn's of satan and that is a church! Payback!!!!!!!!!!
