Packers Favored

  • It's been some time since Chicago was anything but the second city in the quarterback portion of the rivalry with Green Bay, but with both teams at 2-0 and tied atop the NFC North heading into their Monday night matchup, the gap may be closing.

The Bears are coming off an impressive win at Dallas and are off to their best start since the 2006 Super Bowl team won its first seven, in large part because Cutler is delivering the way they anticipated when they got him from Denver last year.

Now, the difference at quarterback appears as narrow as ever as Chicago prepares for its 180th meeting with the Packers, a new wrinkle for the league's oldest rivalry.

Oddsmakers have the Packers by 3 to 3.5. The Predictive Analysis Unit says this means the Bears will win by 6. Place your bets.

UPDATE: Wow. Anyone seen our lucky horseshoe?

Dream on. The Bears are 2-0 only because the refs made chintzy call for them over the Lions and they beat a vastly overrated Cowboy team.

Air-Rod has been better and more consistent than Cutler. He has far more and better receiving talent to throw to.

Better defense too.

And all you fantastic players out there: How many of you picked Cutler over Rodgers? Not many I'm sure.

Well, the Bears HAVE to lose a game, it might as well be this one with the Packers: If only to promote goodwill with our "Cheese-head" neighbors!!

It has to do with the Order of the Universe (you know: Ying & Yang). Because of the Bears' "Lovie, Lovie, Winnin' Ugly" game with Detroit: Where a "catch" is something that is NOT "caught", even when both hands sieze the object! Where a "catch" is something that has "hidden difficulty" or perhaps a "drawback", (you know: Where there's a "catch"!!!!). Where a "reception" is something NOT "received"!!!

Only in the NFL!!!

P.S. No, I won't get over it!

is this a joke? Packers will win by double digits! The Bears barely, and I mean BARELY scraped by a lowly Lions team that was without its starting QB the entore second half! They pull one out of their ass last week against a very unorganized Dallas team and you want to crown em? THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!! YOU WANNA CROWN THEIR ASSES? CROWN EM! Packers 38 Bears 24

the bears "d" is over rated--- the bears can beat the packers if they play a perfect game--- no pic's and no putting the ball on the rug--- rodgers may be the best qb in the nfl---- the bears offense has to eat up minutes to give the defense some rest--- to many 4 and outs for the bears will spell disaster.... my prediction--- bears by 3 in ot....

Dear Sir,
Another day of no unmarked pool cars, and not enough cars here to man the units needed. 015 is in the same boat, since they inquired today if we had any to lend. I facetiously ask, do the numerous people working at 35th Street with take-home cars share the same issue as those of us in patrol?

You would be better served, as a leader, to look at solving the problem, rather than sending me cute comments. Pck up the phone, call DS O'Keefe, and see if he can help you. That's your job, that's why you're a sergeant. JW

Im a bears fan and hope they win but Im thinking a 9 point loss is ahead. They arent as good as their 2-0 record. That being said an upset would make them the only undefeated team in the NFC and with a weak giants team and a bad carolina team the next 2 weeks, they have an opportunity to prove a lot of naysayers wrong

What's with all the long hair sticking out from under some of the GB helmets.

They look real white trashy and I would think it would be dangerous to have hair like that sticking out.

I thought the NFL were sticklers for this kind of stuff, they actually fine players for uniform infractions.

I also don't like the slobs in MLB who desecrate their uniform by not wearing the stirrup socks by having their pants all gathered by the ankles.

The Packer head coach should have his paycheck shredded for this week. That was the sorriest excuse for a performance by a football team, especially a professional one I have ever seen.

18 penalties--for well over 100 yards.

Pointless challenge

Not telling the players to PROTECT THE BALL...as the Bears are known to be the best in the league at punching the ball out, especially late in the game.

And that goal-line stand at the end of the game that wasted 2 minutes?? Step aside and let them score. Then get the ball back with some time and give yourself a chance.

Neither side had much of a running game.

...and the still only won by 3. Should have won by 15.

What would you know about leadership? You made, or your minions created this CPD Blog for officers and supervisors to write to you to ask questions or identify problems. A supervisor identifies a problem and he asks for your assistance to which you or one of your minions reply, a month later... but your to busy with street crime to be bothered to take care of your people, to send back an insulting reply. Did you ever hear of the Chain of Command? When was the last time a District Sgt contacted a Deputy Superintendent and received any results, except for being dumped? You need to learn about Leadership yourself, before responding with that answer. If you were a real leader, a Sgt wouldn't have to ask a question like that. Leadership 101- Taking Care of Your People!!!
